Startling new allegations have surfaced in the James Ashby – Peter Slipper saga suggesting that Peter Slipper’s accuser James Ashby had sexual relations with under-aged boys.
Queensland police are investigating the claims, which were revealed just 24 hours after former Howard Government minister Mal Brough was preselected to run against Peter Slipper in his Queensland seat of Fisher.
A man has alleged that in 2003 when he was 15, he had a relationship with Mr Ashby, who was then in his mid-20’s.
The revelation came in a letter the man wrote to Mr Slipper earlier this year after Mr Ashby filed his Federal Court complaint. It claims Mr Ashby broke the relationship off after a few weeks.
“The guy James broke it off for was also 15 at the time they began their relationship,” the letter says.
In an alleged Facebook conversation with the man this year, Mr Ashby gave another reason: “Your Mum freaked me out when she walked in on you and me in bed. That did my head in for some strange reason.”
The alleged Facebook contact was an apparent attempt to ease Mr Ashby’s guilt at breaking the relationship off.
“I have no idea why your acceptance of this half-arse explanation is needed, but maybe it’ll give me some closure for something that’s been a long running issue for me.”
Sex with a 15-year-old is punishable by up to 14 years jail in Queensland.
Mr Slipper passed the allegations on to Queensland police in June, noting that though the alleged events took place before Mr Ashby worked for him, “…they raise issues of possible criminal conduct. In these circumstances, I cannot ignore the allegations.”
Queensland police are yet to determine whether charges will be brought in the matter, though investigations are continuing.
Mr Ashby and his lawyers are yet to comment on the claims.
Mr Slipper has clear motivations for bringing such allegations to the police; his bitter battle with Mr Ashby’s cost him the Speaker’s chair and significant damage to his reputation.
Mal Brough is accused of having extensive contact with James Ashby despite previously denying any contact occurred.
He eventually admitted to three meetings with Mr Ashby and the court documents detail extensive contact as the case of alleged sexual harassment and Cabcharge rorting was formulated.
Craig “Skyhooks” Emerson said: “Mal Brough’s involvement in the Ashby matter and his denials make him Mr Abbott’s problem now.”
Named after a popular brand of cigarettes, Malbrough, says he has done nothing wrong regarding his role in the Peter Slipper case and claims he is the victim of “a media conspiracy.”
GO QUEENSLANDER!
How exciting!
No doubt there is a “media conspiracy”, “baseless speculation” and a “beat-up” against both the ALP and the Liberals!
It has more twists and turns than a Hollywood movie.
I thought it was only the Greens, Pauline Hanson, and the Labor party that blamed everything on a “media conspiracy…”
Does this mean that the media is now out to get “everyone?”
😯
Or does this mean the media gets to out everyone? Or only those who put themselves in the headlights?
The only ‘conspiracy’ is the medias refusal to align broughs denials with what is already on the public record in the tendered court documents.
It all appears too hard for them.
Better to run some shit about what beazley probably didn’t even say
It all reeks of the Godwin Gretch saga all over again…
By all accounts eager Mal swooped on Ashby’s allegations as soon as he caught a whiff of the political opportunity to snooker Slippery Pete and now that Ashby’s credibility is under a cloud the Libs are backing away from the meetings Mal didn’t have with Ashby at a rate of knots….
Will they ever learn…?
Bet Ashby now wishes he hadn’t gone public with this. He’s made some powerful enemies who will trash him at every turn. Eventually the judge had to tell the gutless wonders of the ALP ministry to stop commenting in the middle of the case, but they won’t go away so much as find another way to exploit this case.
On the other hand, Ashby does look like he has allowed himself to be used by the Coalition here. The central question remains whether he suffered harassment at the hands of Slipper, and whether or not, under Labor’s ridiculous reverse onus laws, Slipper can discharge the burden of proof that is imposed on him.
Does the fact that Ashby may have skeletons in his closet sufficient to prevent him form asserting his rights? It seems a bit unwise, but this saga has a way to play yet.
The Coalition has behaved stupidly on this one and deserves the that it is getting. Sadly for Ashby he is necessary collateral damage as far as the ALP hitmen are concerned.
What’s the lesson here? Better put up with harassment rather than antagonise the ALP by asserting your rights? He should have known from the way Jackson has been treated that if you speak out of turn in the Unionland/ALP dystopia you will be kicked to death by jackbooted thugs.
Eventually the judge had to tell the gutless wonders of the ALP ministry to stop commenting in the middle of the case,
Sure you’re not verballing there? Cos I’m sure you are 😉
“Cos I’m sure you are “
Of course you are, Tom R. But justice Rares, in denying a request to produce documents, pointed (among other things) to recent public statements by a Minister as a reason the government’s application should be denied.
To my great surprise the running commentary stopped. I thought for a moment that maybe Albanese and Roxon had developed some sense of propriety or at least of shame. But it is more likely that they calculated that the negative publicity would more likely outweigh any political advantage if they continued in their unprincipled and deeply hypocritical behaviour.
So, in other words, the judge didn’t tell them to stop commenting.
Thanks for that splats 😉
That is what it means in judicial speak, TomR. Why do you think they decided to put a sock in it?
TomR, if your wife doesn’t tell you to stop smoking, but asks you to sleep in the other room because you stink of smoke, it’s a fair conclusion that she’s telling you to stop smoking.
It’s the vibe 😯
No doubt there is a “media conspiracy”, “baseless speculation” and a “beat-up” against both the ALP and the Liberals!
I think it is Brough who is claiming the media conspiracy, bit of a laugh really, after all the time and effort they put into getting it into the media [instead of ashby quietly going through the proper PS procedures for sexual harassment.
Does the fact that Ashby may have skeletons in his closet sufficient to prevent him form asserting his rights?
No, it shouldn’t IMO, but he made himself a target by splashing this case through the papers in the beginning. I wonder whether that was his wishes though or more the Lib/LNP express train running completely out of control?
The Coalition has behaved stupidly on this one and deserves the that it is getting. Sadly for Ashby he is necessary collateral damage as far as the ALP hitmen are concerned…
As far as the Lib/LNP are concerned as well it seems.
…It all reeks of the Godwin Gretch saga all over again…
Yep, just like the Thomson, Jackson saga as well, these ‘scandals’ have Liberal Party fingerprints all over them.
What have they got in the pipeline to force upon us next? They never know when to stop do they, it’s one way only for the Libs – the ends justifies the means for getting what they want, no matter who gets hurt or destroyed in the process.
The Thomson scandal is in a class of its own and the Australian people now much wiser about the inner workings of Unionland. They also better understand how much the PM is prepared to debase herself to hang on to power.
Does this mean that the media is now out to get “everyone?”
No it just means Brough hasn’t changed one iota … he didn’t lose his seat to Slipper ’cause Slipp’ry was better … just that Brough was cought out being sneaky and now GUESS WHAT!
It all reeks of the Godwin Gretch saga all over again…
Chuckle, chuckle … does it ever … I love to know what Single Malt Turnbull is thinking … of course Tones is free and clear … street smart even if he has the intelectuall capacity of a pea … dried …
On the other hand, Ashby does look like he has allowed himself to be used by the Coalition here. Ashby wanted to be used by anyone thatn he could make money, position or power from … a typical user loser …
under Labor’s ridiculous reverse onus laws WTF! Is that BS! He’s in court … FFS! Not in front of the Bar … 😆
Does the fact that Ashby may have skeletons in his closet sufficient to prevent him form asserting his rights?
Ashby, apperntly wasn’t concerned about “rights” of a fifteen year old … and YES it does … particularly if they are proven false … your assumption is that Ashby was assaulted … if he was I’ll be the first to condemn, Slipp’ry … but …
Sadly for Ashby he is necessary collateral damage as far as the ALP hitmen are concerned.
And, Brough and the LibNats (ie Chrissy Pyne) … they don’t give a shit about Ashby … Brough wants “his”, born to rule, seat back … and Tony Abbott and Co were pissed off about Slipp’rys absconding to the Speaker’s Chair …
“your assumption is that Ashby was assaulted”
No. It is just an issue raised by the new developments. I’m reserving my judgment on that one. Even if Ashby wins it doesn’t mean it happened thanks to Labor’s idiotic reverse onus of poof.
“And, Brough and the LibNats (ie Chrissy Pyne) … they don’t give a shit about Ashby”
Absolutely right. They have used him for their advantage and they will turn on him in a nanosecond when they think there is mileage in it.
I don’t think Brough was ever member for Fisher??
He was member for Longman and lost the seat in the Howard rout. Then Wyatt Roy won it back. Brough may have issues with Slipper, but that’s not one of them.
The Thomson scandal is in a class of its own and the Australian people now much wiser about the inner workings of Unionland. They also better understand how much the PM is prepared to debase herself to hang on to power.
And in my mind, both scandals show how low the Liberal party is prepared to stoop to gain power. The Libs behave like a mafia, a criminal organisation. They are at their heart, elite criminals, tainted by illegal and treasonous activities!
He was member for Longman and lost the seat in the Howard rout.
He lost his seat because of his racist Aboriginal Intervention policy and didn’t he target single parents [mostly low earning mothers] for particular hardships too? [not that Labor has overturned any of those big stick approaches that only disadvantage the already disadvantaged and marginalised in this country]. His own electorate had a large percentage of sole parents.
“The Libs behave like a mafia, a criminal organisation. “
Joe Hockey steals money from workers? Scott Morrisson uses members dues for brothel creeping? And when the facts are out they still enjoy Abbott’s full support – until a molecular line is crossed?
Or maybe the president of the Libs does as well out of the party as Williamson and his rellies did out of hospital workers. Or maybe Abbott once got $20k of frocks from Town Mode with party funds.
Or maybe when a Lib member dobbed in a pederast the party made his life a living hell or maybe the party destroyed the lives of four alderman who would not bend to party corruption. And then made a federal minister out of the bad guy.
Which is it?
He lost his seat because of his racist Aboriginal Intervention policy and didn’t he target single parents [mostly low earning mothers] for particular hardships too?
So if he targetted single mothers, then the policy could hardly have been racist now could it?
😯
Which is it?
All of the above …? 😯
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So if he targetted single mothers, then the policy could hardly have been racist now could it?
As a special service to the expectant Dad … (took all of 30 seconds!)
So if he targetted single mothers, then the policy could hardly have been racist now could it?
Two separate policies that he devised james.
He was Minister for Families and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) and thus a member of the Howard Cabinet from January 2006 to November 2007.
*shudder*
Of course Abbott wants Mal Brough back on his front bench, someone needs to take on the Indigenous Affairs portfolio with much planning and plotting on Abott’s behalf with Abbott’s personal favourite, Noel Pearson [one-who-speaks-for-all-Aboriginals in LibLand]. The existing no-hopers can’t be trusted with any ministry that requires such devious application of austerity measures that the ‘howard armband’ brigade would wish to see again.
Who will take on the George Pell portfolio? Or will that be for Abbott himself, Pell admitted to the inner cabinet?
As politician, Brough, really is an actor … his NVC’s are really intrigueing when you study them … the serious face, the charming face, the affronted face … even the statesman face …
Oh, and the deep throated practised voice* … furrowed brow and looking straight ahead eyes … a well rehearsed perfomance … false but highly commendable …
I confess I was fooled by Brough early in his career … NVC’s take a bit of studying generally …
* I notice Chrissy Pyne has quickly forgotten his voice training too … he was doing well for about 12 months but has returned to his shrill, high pitched shrieking …
“It’s the vibe”
Like when “a line has been crossed….?”
“Single Malt Turnbull”
LOL!!! 🙂 (Better “register” that one TB)
Oh, and the deep throated practised voice* … furrowed brow and looking straight ahead eyes … a well rehearsed perfomance … false but highly commendable …
They all have media training don’t they? Brough wants people to forget he’s up to his eyeballs in the Slipper/Ashby controversy. Brough is election campaigning on camera [BTW, with all that baggage the Libs still think he is eminently suitable, above all others for preselection, how much more contempt can they display for voters?].
Besides, some politicians are just very practised and accomplished liars, Brough has had lots of experience from his Howard ministry days.
* I notice Chrissy Pyne has quickly forgotten his voice training too … he was doing well for about 12 months but has returned to his shrill, high pitched shrieking …
He gets a bit excited sometimes 😆

He gets a bit excited sometimes Big giggle here, KL … 😆
Has anyone noticed that Ashby isn’t in parliament?
(…Kathy Jackson isn’t either)
‘some politicians are just very practised and accomplished liars,’
There is a pathological MP, but his name escapes me….oh, noze…its Craig.
Has anyone noticed that Ashby isn’t in parliament?
So what? Only parliamentarians matter do they?
That’s how elite criminals and the Liberal Party work, they don’t get their own hands dirty, they use others to cop the the fallout while they stand upright, hand on heart and bible and declare their solemn innocence 😉
AO, parliamentarians deserve far more scrutiny than members of the public, even if the public are accusers.
Ashby is entitled to make his claim without the ALP machine hate campaign, with Cabinet Ministers providing running commentary about the case and his claim.
Slipper deserves plenty of scrutiny.
Jackson might have followed some of the grubby standards so avariciously established by Thomson and his mates, but she’s only a union official. The government doesn’t rely on her for its survival.
Thomson deserves plenty of scrutiny.
Ashby is entitled to make his claim without the ALP machine hate campaign, with Cabinet Ministers providing running commentary about the case and his claim.
Why then did Ashby splash his allegations across the media, deliberately creating a feeding frenzy instead of the usual public service process?
If you want to feed off the monster that is the media you better be able to live with the consequences.
AO, parliamentarians deserve far more scrutiny than members of the public, even if the public are accusers.
Does that include scrutiny into the parts played by mal brough, chrissy pyne and joe hockey in the scandal?

Thomson deserves plenty of scrutiny.
As opposed to what he has already had 😯
Without any resultant charges I might add 😉
Meanwhile, jackson really does appear to need to have some closer analysis.
http://www.independentaustralia.net/2012/politics/jacksonville-18-kathy-jackson-and-the-real-marco-bolano/
Tom R, Jackson is only a union official, her dubious activities only follow those established by Thomson and his mates. Exactly what has she done that deserves all the excitement and analysis? Dobbed in Thomson. That’s all, if she hadn’t put some legitimate focus on Thomson, all of this would be “union bashing”.
I tried to post a comment on a thread by Wicks at “Independent Australia” too. Blocked of course.
What is it with mindless barrackers and their commitment to censorship?
————————
Craig Emerson seems to be losing his marbles. What was all that about?
——————————
AO – ” Why then did Ashby splash his allegations across the media, deliberately creating a feeding frenzy instead of the usual public service process?
He exercised his legal rights, what’s the problem?
” Does that include scrutiny into the parts played by mal brough, chrissy pyne and joe hockey in the scandal?”
No problem with me. I think it is great when they’re all wallowing in the mud, but scrambling to publically claim the moral high ground. It’s those circumstances that give the public genuine insight into the duplicitous world that all politicians inhabit.
Emerson’s funny. Like Wicks, he simply blocks anyone who disagrees with him, then accuses others of “running away”.
“Without any resultant charges I might add “
I guess that means he is a paragon of virtue and nothing is amiss in Unionland. If only that wicked Kathy Jackson had kept her mouth shut we would all have been better off.
“he simply blocks anyone who disagrees with him”
What is it with “the left” and blanket bannings? Things are the same at cafe colditz.
“I tried to post a comment on a thread by Wicks at “Independent Australia” too. Blocked of course. ”

😆 how the worm has turned. It wasn’t that long ago, and the term was ‘union bully’. Nah, their lot don’t look like bullies to me 😯
As they say, “…just more of the same”
“Things are the same at cafe colditz.”
Are they still open ?
Last time I looked there was only some Pipsqueak and a chronic nutcase hangin’ around
I tried to post a comment on a thread by Wicks at “Independent Australia” too. Blocked of course.
Perhaps they would be more accommodating if you didn’t deliberately verbal him?
“Perhaps they would be more accommodating if you didn’t disagree with
deliberately verbalhim?”There, fixed it for you Tom… 🙂
ROFLMAO @ reb
well, if verballing someone is what you call disagreeing, then so be it. Who am I to argue with that fantasy
“Last time I looked there was only some Pipsqueak and a chronic nutcase hangin’ around”
Well now that they’ve BANNED EVERYONE who doesn’t fit in with the prevailing vibe as dictated by Pipglo, it does bear an uncanny resemblance to a sort of sheltered workshop for the elderly and infirm. Which seems to suit the remaining stragglers like Catching Up who remain hellbent on repeating the “Gillard good, Abbott, the Greens and Wilkie bad” mantra.
I wonder how long will they continue to subject people to their withering opinions….
Censorship wouldn’t be needed if everyone would hold the correct opinions.
Wong thread earlier!
——————–
Verbal Wicks? Not me, I’ve only put his own words back to him. He then tries to give his original words a meaning that defies reality.
Wicks is only attacking Jackson as a distraction to Thomson. When someone attacks a union official for political reasons, that’s usually called “union bashing”
Wicks simply prefers to surround himself with sycophants.
What is it with these people and their bannings (in contravention of their own rules), routine censorship, and preferring to choose their own (soft) opponents?
—————————-
Censorship is appealing, and I’ve decided to ban them from emailing me.
“Wrong”
I’m not referring to Penny.
LOL Tony.
talking about censorship
Where did @chris murphy go and his view about sex with a 15 yo being automatic statutory rape [even if the 15yo agrees] and big gaol time?
Did I transgress privacy by displaying his tweet? Are we not allowed to?
Will this post disappear too?
Duuuuh, Yony. People with incongruent opinions are trolls, by default.
Verbal Wicks? Not me, I’ve only put his own words back to him. He then tries to give his original words a meaning that defies reality.
You just keep going round and round in a circular argument tomM and it probably gets boring to keep responding over & over & over again, only to have you come back with the very same stuff…again. Who would want to expend the energy on that?
It might defy your
realityopinion, but who is to say that your opinion on how he responds is the only acceptable view? You lot are all talking about “not allowing a difference of opinion” but it is you who are intolerant and unaccepting of another’s view and/or meaning.Hypocrites much?
And then there is the misrepresentation of what they actually do say.
Williamson has just resigned. How sad it is that the union movement has lost such a good and loyal servant. No doubt he will also be fondly remembered for his contribution to as President of the ALP.
Now back to the really important issue – Jacksonisevil, Jacksonisevil, Jacksonisevil.
Now back to the really important issue – Jacksonisevil, Jacksonisevil, Jacksonisevil.
well, guess who brought that up…again!
Well AO, in that case I won’t repeat myself, suffice to say that my comments to Wicks regarding Lawler have been factual, whereas his have been entirely speculative.
Well AO, in that case I won’t repeat myself, suffice to say that my comments to Wicks regarding Lawler have been factual, whereas his have been entirely speculative.
TomM, you repeat yourself as much as you like, I am just expressing my opinion!
Others can always ignore.
I’ve only put his own words back to him. He then tries to give his original words a meaning that defies reality.
No, his original post was clear as to what he meant, as I showed. You chose to cherry pick a phrase within his post, and pretend it meant something that it most obviously was not meant to mean.
Thereby verballing him
apparently, that is now merely disagreement. 😯
whereas his have been entirely speculative.
So, he is only ‘speculating’ that jackson is involved in a relationship with a person who works in the FWA offices ❓
Interesting.
“So, he is only ‘speculating’ that jackson is involved in a relationship with a person who works in the FWA offices”
So the fact that he mentions a mundane fact as support for his speculation means that he wasn’t speculating? Troll me another one.
Look Tom R, I in no way verballed Wicks.
He said “Lawler and Nassios shared an office”, like other people who share an office “they’d do favours for each other”…”you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”…“this wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened”.
In reality they’re-
• Working on different floors with a couple of hundred other people,
• In a big office block of about 12 stories,
• In separate administrative units,
• With Lawler enjoying all the trappings of high judicial office (chambers, silver service tea and coffee, a range of support staff) and Nassios being something like a “Public Service Worker Grade 6” at his workstation.
…well, that isn’t “sharing an office”.
He has no evidence that they’ve ever even met, let alone exchanged favours.
Wicks tried to stretch the truth with his smear, and got caught. He then chose to ban and try to continue the discussion in email.
There’s plenty more too, that he’s avoided, flummoxed, unable to explain.
Again, yomm cherry picks
Why not link to the actual discussion he was having with you?
Tom R. Wicks is a fraud who blocks anyone who expresses an alternative view. I didn’t verbal him. Yet I got blocked and I got a vicious emails.
There is no evidence whatsoever that Lawler interfered with the FWA investigation yet Wicks has mentioned him at least a dozen times inferring that he did.
He is a fraud.
I didn’t verbal him.
Nah, knowing you, you probably just abused in a manner that would make marcel blush
As for Michael Lawler, I would ask that he be immediately suspended without pay, pending a Judicial Enquiry/Royal Commission. Anything less, and I’m sorry to say, FWA will always have a stigma
Suspended without pay for what, Mr Wicks?
*Sorry to raise it here, I’ve been blocked from both Wicks’ blog and from that of his friends.
PS….Mr Wicks, what is the actual distance between the state electorate of Hawkesbury and the federal electorate of Dobell?
“talking about censorship
Where did @chris murphy go and his view about sex with a 15 yo being automatic statutory rape [even if the 15yo agrees] and big gaol time?
Did I transgress privacy by displaying his tweet? Are we not allowed to?
Will this post disappear too?”
Sorry KL, it was in the spaminator..
It now appears above at 1.37am…
Suspended without pay for what, Mr Wicks?
Perhaps this could be a place to start ❓
Kathy Jackson told us on 7 30 that she discussed the investigation into HER union with her partner Michael Lawler, the Vice President of FWA.
…..
Michael Lawler initiated a police investigation into the HSU as a “private citizen”
…
We have even shown computer files, seen below, that show that Kathy Jackson accessed a FWA computer during the investigation into her union.
http://wixxy.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/hate-to-say-i-told-you-so/
Seems legit 😯
Tom R, Lawler is an officer of the law. If he became aware of some action that may have been illegal, or requiring investigation, he would have been in breach of his oath of office not to have informed the police.
If he had neglected to inform the authorities, that would have been cause for genuine criticism, not the fabricated version that Wicks tries (and then bans discussion about it).
Right.
So Kathy Jackson discussed matters that anyone with an interest in politics is discussing with her partner. STONE HIM!!!
Michael Lawler initiated an investigation into MEMBERS of the HSU as a private citizen (although to his credit he declared his position). TomR, are you aware of what the complaints were? If the complaints have merit, should he not have made the report?
Those computer files show absolutely SFA (although I admit that I’m no expert in computers).
This, TomR, is why Wicks is a fraud.
Of course, the fact that he may have got this information from his squeeze, who just happens to be trying to get her hands on the top job at that place, doesn’t raise any concerns about a conflict of interest, does it?
Also, if he got this information as an officer of the law, why would he be reporting it as “private citizen” rhter than an officer of the law?
All good questions to be asked. But you appear to be raging against them being asked?
Wicks owns up that he is “throwing mud” at Jackson. That’s fine.
And I suppose Lawler and Jackson have discussed her work, adn teh challenges. He’s probably provided some advice. But so what?
He isn’t hearing any case involving the HSU, he doesn’t supervise any investigation. He has no role in the division that conducted teh investigation.
So what exactly is the reason to suspend lawler? …other than having questionable taste in the cot?
I think you mean “
Wicks is a fraud“(although I admit that I’m no expert in computers).
This, TomR, is why Wicks is a fraud.
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Wicks owns up that he is “throwing mud” at Jackson. That’s fine.
I think the term you are looking for is ‘speculating’ 😉
The critical point is that Wicks suggests that Lawler should not have been part of a report to the police. The fact is that as an officer of the law, he would have been legitimately criticised if he had not done this.
It’s a demonstration that Wicks is a bulls**t salesman, who is used to people just accepting his bulls**t. Is his specialty vacuum cleaners door to door? Or is he the a more modern version – offering to change your light globes?
On what grounds exactly is he justified in suggesting that Lawler be stood down?
——————
But having had another look at the exchange Tom R, how have I verballed Wicks?
just testing 😉
if he got this information as an officer of the law, why would he be reporting it as “private citizen” rather than an officer of the law?
It’s such a simple little question. Surely someone can explain?
Probably, TomR, because he was a private citizen who’s partner had been threatened, as opposed to an officer of the law who had been threatened in the course of his acting as an officer of the law.
He didn’t get the information in the course of his duties as an officer of the law. He got it as a private citizen.
But because he is an officer of the law, he is required to report an alleged breach of the law to the authorities.
If he hadn’t done this, Wicks could have legitimately criticised Lawler for neglecting his oath of office.
ToM, give up. There is absolutely no way on earth TomR is going to address any “critical point”. Victory is his for this truly masterful display of trolling. Amazingly, he probably believes in the one-eyed view of the world he expounds. He should get the ALP Brown Believer award usually reserved for the most rusted-on party hacks – those with a brown tongue, brown nose and a brown head.
This has been a masterclass.
Victory is his for this truly masterful display of trolling.
MUAHAHAHA!!!
(others call it asking questions 😉 )
who’s partner had been threatened
By her own shovel ROFL
He got it as a private citizen.
Who was sleeping with somebody directly involved in a case that his office was investigating, and who could have profited herself from that case.
Seems legit 😉
btw, whatever came of that police investigation initiated by lawler, the private citizen?
By her own shovel ROFL
Got a link for that?
Got a link for that?
Unlike others here, when asked, I provide.
I guess that’s how trolls operate in this neck of the woods
Mr Jackson was then alleged to have replied: “Yeah, they’re OK, the f … ing shovel has been in the shed for the last 10 years.”
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/archive/national-old/labors-dirt-file-on-thomson-scandal-whistleblower-kathy-jackson/story-e6freuzr-1226260056243
CHRIS UHLMANN: Just to clarify, do you think that there has been government interference in Fair Work Australia?
Perhaps the question should have been ‘lawler interference’?
😯
http://www.vexnews.com/2012/02/one-flew-over-the-hsu-nest-kathy-jackson-asks-is-kathy-jackson-a-hero/
Hang in ther, TomR … the rabble are extremely repetitive! (But you always knew that! 😉 )
“We have even shown computer files, seen below, that show that Kathy Jackson accessed a FWA computer during the investigation into her union.”
Oh for fucksake……….clutching at straws yet again
Not that bit of bullshit again
You really do rely on some pathetic “evidence” which you regurgitate ad nauseum don’t ya
Place mouse cursor over “start” left hand bottom of screen
Click on left button of mouse
Select “Explore”
Go to any of your C: Drive documents
Click on document to only highlight it
Go to “File” at top of screen
Select “Properties” from the pull down menu
Select the tab titled “Summary”
Feel free to type over the original Author and claim the work for yourself
I’m sure Mr Wicks would know how to do it
You should know how to do that Tom R…………… as it happens a lot at the Café
I find TomR’s perspective interesting & not easily dismissed. Probably because I’m guilty of digesting too much of the ongoing screed against Thompson here; it’s been relentless & fairly one-sided, because TomR is one of a very few with the gumption to actually give a bit of attitude back to you haterz on your own turf.
I still think Wixxx is a less than impartial obfuscator with less than impartial motives for running his own counter-smear campaign though. He has nothing tangible.
I still think Wixxx is a less than impartial obfuscator with less than impartial motives
Ya’ reckon
He has nothing tangible.
Time will tell. Apparently, jaws thinks that perhaps wixxy (or someone) is doctoring documents and then holding them out for police as evidence. That goes well beyond an ‘impartial obfuscator’
I take it I am reading your ascertion correctly there jaws. If not, perhaps you could elucidate for me
“He has nothing tangible.”
Exactly.
He’s just running a poorly constructed “diversion”
Frankly I dont care if Kathy Jackson cops a hammering. The real problem is Thomson, Williamson and the entire stinking union movement.
In the long run the best thing for the very survival of the Union movement would be a Royal Commission that recommends new governance standards that will allay the fears of union members.
Otherwise the stinking rotten carcass of the Union movement will continue to fester in its grave
I probably should have put in some smart alec wink or something after the ‘Ya’ reckon’ comment toiletstenchofdunlophatredpartoftheHATEapparatus, just so it is clear that I do agree with that assessment.
Wixxy’s arguments, however, deserve closer attention, particulalry given the attention that has diverted elsewhere.
For a better look at those (some say doctored??) documents
http://www.independentaustralia.net/2012/politics/the-jackson-and-lawler-hsu-tangle-part-two/
Frankly I dont care if Kathy Jackson cops a hammering.
Then why are so agitated about someone asking questions?
Aren’t you glad you’re not BANNED here Tom…? 😉
“I take it I am reading your ascertion correctly there jaws. If not, perhaps you could elucidate for me”
I’m not accusing anyone of anything. I’m just pointing out that its very easy to “create” a false impression/piece of evidence. And I dont doubt for a moment if someone really wanted to they would/could.
Lucky there’s no one so corrupt within the union movenment these days. So we’ll discount the possibility ay………………..ROFLMAO
For you or anyone to hold that out as “hard irrefutable evidence” is a joke.
But then again you believe Thomson
For you or anyone to hold that out as “hard irrefutable evidence” is a joke.
no-one did chicken shit (backing away at a hundred miles an hour after casting ascertions)
It is just ‘evidence’. The police can determine if it is “hard irrefutable evidence”
What is it with Thom(p)son haters and their desire to verbal people?
I probably should have put in some smart alec wink or something after the ‘Ya’
Then you would be a smart alec because Wally doesn’t (still!) know how to do smileys!
Aren’t you glad you’re not BANNED here Tom…?
Don’t be a dickwit, BlogMasta, TomR didn’t ban us all at CW … ’tis not his fault … I like to see the regular regurgitators here getting a rev … your post reads like a threat FFS! Correct by all means if I’m wrong …
Aren’t you glad you’re not BANNED here Tom…?
I’m working on it, I’m working on it 😉
TomR didn’t ban us all at CW
Who knows who pulls the strings where?
Pretty sure it wasn’t a threat, TB.
I read it as sarcastic irony. 🙂
I read it as sarcastic irony.
Isn’t that what EVERYTHING here is.
I mean, really, yomm, jaws, snacty, they can’t all be for real … could they 😯
I read it as sarcastic irony.
Of course it was, HD … but you can’t let, Jummy, think he’s actually running the show … OK ? He just pays the bills … its us workers that actually make it pay … I’m thinking about an in-house union … what d’ya reckon, cobber?
Don’t be silly.
It wasn’t TomR swinging the banhammer. Probably.
The whole thing was set up initially to constrain the involvement of a great majority of us from what was GT. I myself was among the blacklisted, although this changed fairly quickly, apparently because nasking asked to have me allowed ( 😯 ). I know this because I did receive an email saying as much from an admin. I’ve never commented there, partly because of the subterranean inception of it…but mainly because I like to be a bit more blunt, crass, non-conformist & colourful than what is considered acceptable there.
So given that there’s always been a committee in the background, by all appearances, lobbying eachother about who should be banned, I think this is a great observation…”Who knows who pulls the strings where?”…just that the committee has grown larger & embodies some new censorists.
If I had to guess…& I acknowledge that this is just unhelpful speculation…I’d put nasking, adrian, miglo, tolputt & maybe min on that initial board of excision. I’m probably overlooking someone, it was a while ago now.
Never been too fussed by it all. Their prerogative & all that. But illusions of ‘free & open’ have always been just that. They practice targetted selection.
“I read it as sarcastic irony.
Isn’t that what EVERYTHING here is.
As opposed to the “Julia is doing a fantastic job” delusion that you subscribe to elsewhere…
🙄
I reckon Thomson is guilty as sin. I reckon Williamson is worse. I reckon Jackson is far from lily white.
The Wicks thing though simply has that all too familiar stench of destroying anyone who might blow the whistle on the corrupt activities in the Labor movement. We’ve seen it so often.
…still no detail on “verballing”
I’ve provided plenty of detail on what he got wrong, so how about some information on what he’s got right?
Not much, though Wicks is an expert in smear, innuendo & rumour.
…still no detail on “verballing”
You aren’t serious are you??
I mean, really, you are not serious ❓
oops, I forgot
I mean, really, yomm, jaws, snacty, they can’t all be for real … could they
Thanks for teminding yomm 😉
teminding??
Wicks should just stick to his profession – door to door vacuum cleaner sales.
He demonstrates that he knows nothing about FWA or Lawler
He’s quite competent at invention of stories though, for example-
• It comes with a 5year guarantee
• Strongest suction
• I use one myself
• Lawler shares an office with Nassios
still verballing yomm
https://thedailytrash.wordpress.com/2012/07/20/rostrum-3/#comment-2837
”Lawler and Nassios work in the same office. No matter who supervises them, they share an office, I understand they work seperately (sic), but if you have ever worked in an office, it is not uncommon for people to mix with other departments and form relationships, if fact, it would be awfully strange if they didn’t.
I work in sales, but I have always known, socialised with, had drinks with, had lunch with, shared an office kitchen with people from accounts, marketing, shipping….
This would not be the first time a work colleague helped out another, influenced another, scratched anothers (sic) back etc”
Tom R, you should stop quoting the point he retreated to, and look at his original bulls**t .
…and don’t bother to pretend that Wicks thought “sharing an office” and an “office kitchen” meant-
• Working on separate floors
• In entirely separate departments
• One having chambers with all that goes with that, support staff, Wedgewood china service for your coffee
• The other having a work station somewhere or other
• About 200+ people work across the dozen floors (all sharing an office?)
• No evidence that they have actually even met
But somehow Wicks still requires the involvement of Lawler in the Thomson Report because without it, the only allegation about the report can be one of competence.
you should stop quoting the point he retreated to, and look at his original bulls**t .
difficult, since you appear unable to link to it. That was the earliest I could find of him mentioning the office bit. Is there an earlier time he referred to this? Cos, if there is, you have not brought it up before. You simply refused to acknowledge the context of that discussion, you didn’t say it was relating to a previous remark.
Until you can provide another such time, I’ll go with the one you appeared to have accepted back then as being the pertinent discussion. Hopefully, by morning, there will be a link for me to follow to his ‘original bulls**t ‘. 😉
http://wixxy.wordpress.com/2012/07/11/the-gentle-art-of-making-enemies/#comment-1762
I’ve posted the comment several times, though perhaps not the link. I’m not wishing to direct traffic to his crap. It’s always there for anyone to find.
As an experienced door to door vacuum sales man (or something like that), Wicks’ first reaction to my question was to provide a load of bulls**t. He then progressively retreated, then banned, then tried to continue the discussion on email.
Yet some still try to quote him as a beacon of knowledge on Thomson, Jackson, Lawler and the HSU!
😆 @ yomm
you really don’t work well with links’n’things do ya
That’s the link to the conversation you claimed to be ‘the point he retreated to,’
The same link that is referenced in the link above.
😆 laff’o’lympics at the trash 😆
“no-one did chicken shit (backing away at a hundred miles an hour after casting ascertions)”
What the fhck are you smoking these days?
I’m pointing out that your BIG SMOKING GUN the piece of crap you hang your hat on continually despite its easy fabrication being pointed out continually would not stand up to any decent legal argument let alone even get any decent forensic computer cop to bother looking at it.
All you do TomR is throw up the same discredited rubbish day after day hoping no one has noticed.
And around and around with your repetitious bullshit defense we go
Yaaaaaaaaaassaaaawn
How’s the ” Cafe Whispers in my Head ” phone box these days. They probably need some of your pep talk
(Klink.)
BIG SMOKING GUN
Where has it been desribed as that chicken shit?
I specifically called it just a piece of evidence above, and you then claim I call it something else.
Talk about repetitious bullshit. Between you making up what people say, and yomm not having a clue about what conversation he is referring to, what a great old circle jerk this re-union has turned out to be.
So, have you been able to clarify your comment yet, or is it still an allegation that wixxy (or someone) is doctoring documents?
Or was your comment just for obfuscation?
I think that from yomms latest brain melt (I’m still cleaning the bourbon from the screen), it is obvious why wixxy doesn’t want to be bothered anymore.
Luckily for you, I have no life (atm) 🙂
Anything is possible within the Labor movement. They even clone phones according to Thommo.
They don’t need to clone fools though , they have plenty of those as you comprehensively prove .
So Tom R, you provided a copy with your own emphasis. I just allowed his words to condemn him.
Wicks is a dill, he got it way wrong. He remains completely unable to explain how Nassios could have taken 3 years to compile a report so critical of Thomson, with a result apparently so influenced or manipulated by Lawler, when the report was supervised by ALP loyalist, Ministerial Advisor, former union official, ALP appointee as General Manager of Fair Work Australia, then appointed as Commissioner of Fair Work Australia …TIM LEE!!
Wicks just doesn’t bother to address that annoying fact.
(good night)
Michael Williamson’s daughter shared an office with Gillard up until last week. Obviously she has been able to influence how slow the FWA Report was compiled and completed.
It’s very obvious
She possibly had access to the info that tipped off Williamson that the HSU offices were to be raided
It’s very obvious.
Conspiracy
Thanks for clearing that up jaws. So, your rebuttal of any evidence is ‘they doctored it’
nice 😉
I assume that goes for all the other evidence he has put up (and that you try to pretend isn’t there)
Conspiracy
Doctor yourself up a document to lend some weight to the theory, and let it run free jaws 😉
No my rebuttal is that it is so easily fabricated as to be worthless as proof of anything. Even Thomson claims third party evidence has been compromised by cloning of phones i.e. the phone bills. That’s quite difficult 8 years ago
And you believe him
But you won’t believe a few mouse clicks could do the same
Now that’s funny
Like I said. No need for Labor to clone fools
So Tom R, you provided a copy with your own emphasis. I just allowed his verballed words to condemn him.
Basically, just the same old repetitive ‘didnot’ you tried on the other day.
Thanks for the laugh tonight though. yomm and links, always a good mix 😆
No my rebuttal is that it is so easily fabricated as to be worthless as proof of anything.
forensically, it can be traced if it has been doctored, you should be aware of that I assume. So, if they are holding this out for the police, they are either very brave, or very stupid.
Nice to see you run from the allegation again btw 😉
Also, as wixxy pointed out, even then, if it was still inconclusive, they can check the machines and servers at FWA themselves.
But you stick with your ‘doctored’ story, I’m sure some sucker somewhere will be falling for it. yomm??
You made the allegation that i made an allegation. I made an obser vation. Now you are verballing me.
We already know wicks is a liar. The claim about proximity of electorates is enough as proof. He just relies on throwing up disinformation and lies to divert from the paucity of his entire argument.
He obviously has a very low IQ
If wicks had a strong argument he’d argue it here as you can. Instead he chooses to ban those that disagree. Same “model” as the Cafe.
Off to look at the Markets.
Goodbye
The expert speaks.
Well, I asked if you were making the allegation, to which you replied
Anything is possible within the Labor movement. They even clone phones according to Thommo.
You then distanced yourself from those remarks. Later into the conversation.
That isn’t verballing, it is you dancing around comments. Basically, being chicken shit
As to this distance thing, I have no idea what that is about, except it was something snacty said. I just hope his mates aren’t involved , they have led him astray before
But, as you note, being verballed is not nice. which is probably why wixxy won’t waste time with yomm
FGS appears to be either that dickhead N5 who never actually stands for anything anyway or a moronic troll who has a lot of time on his hands because no ones at the Cafe.
Whichever it is
I’m ROTFLMAO
By the way FGS I closed out a deal on a massively good contract with the stupid Feds tonight. They will be paying me a fucking fortune for a report I did for them 2 Years ago which I now need to update.
Money for old rope as they say.
I hope knowing that really annoys you
Hahahahahahaha !
Probably, TomR, because he was a private citizen who’s partner had been threatened, as opposed to an officer of the law who had been threatened in the course of his acting as an officer of the law.
He doesn’t get to separate the two when he has great power, privilege and impunity from all scrutiny himself [except for parliament, where in case you have forgotten, he has refused to appear to answer any questions]. As the new code of conduct shows:
( vexnews ) …The poor performance of HSU boss Kathy Jackson’s lover Michael Lawler – the Vice-President of Fair Work Australia – is believed to be the catalyst for a new code of conduct introduced by the President of FWA.
FWA sources have told VEXNEWS that aside from Lawler’s obviously improper meddling in Health Services Union business that he has been thoroughly distracted from his duties since he fell for Jackson with considerable delays in his decisions so reforms include:
■ A name change to the Australian Workplace Relations Commission;
■ New timeliness benchmarks;
■ Restrictions on engaging in public debate on controversial matters relating to their duties;
■ And that FWA members ought ”avoid using the authority and status of a member’s office for private purposes”.
The Australian reports:
Justice Ross confirmed he had held talks with the tribunal’s other vice-president, Michael Lawler, the partner of HSU national secretary Kathy Jackson.
The ABC reported in May that Mr Lawler had written to the NSW Cyber Crime Squad accusing HSU national president Michael Williamson of criminal activity.
Lawler has also been accused of making private representations to HSU officials, including threats and attempts to persuade them to follow Kathy Jackson’s instructions.
FWA sources have also revealed that Lawler’s sons have held wild parties in FWA premises in Melbourne – attracting very large clean-up bills paid for taxpayers. These are the same lads who “worked” at the HSU on an hourly rate nearly twice what HSU members are paid. Jackson, who has criticised foes in the union for nepotism, arranged the employment, which was also sanctioned by her under-boss Marco Bolano, whose $1M home mortgage suggests he’s been living high on the hog too…
I cannot understand how supposedly responsible and mature commenters here who represent a variety of professions, have such trouble recognising basic conflict of interest. If you lot are representative of “how things are done” in your workplaces, all I can say is, we are a nation of morally and ethically bankrupt, unprincipled people.
Sorry, I do apologise to all for my late night twittering enthusiasm that resulted in the lengthy cut & pastes earlier in this thread, [from August 1, 2012 12:55 am] – happy for you to remove it all reb, it really is of no consequence other than me having the place to myself last night! [I do think the twitters show a very different side to people, and I used chris murphy’s useful news toolbar tip and thought the statutory rape comment very informative] 🙂
we are a nation of morally and ethically bankrupt, unprincipled people.
I AGREE!! (for the third time)
‘….we are a nation of morally and ethically bankrupt, unprincipled people.’
I’m unconvinced that we are any different to the rest of humanity.
“FWA sources have told VEXNEWS ……………..”
Can I have fries with my “sauces”
Talk about making shit up !
😆 @ jaws
Apparently, ‘sauces’ are to be disregarded now. Even though, previously, ‘sauces’ were enough to basically convict Thom(p)son, now they are not even good enough to raise questions with.
_
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
“now they are not even good enough to raise questions with”
Is that a fact, or just wishful thinking…?
My understanding is that the Temby report has been handed to the fraud squad and the police will review it to determine whether to take action.
The report mentions both Thompson’s and Williamson’s credit cards…
He doesn’t get to separate the two when he has great power, privilege and impunity from all scrutiny himself [except for parliament, where in case you have forgotten, he has refused to appear to answer any questions]
So when I finally get my degree and rise through the ranks to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and I come home to find Mrs Sancty lying on the floor having been assaulted my response to her pleas to call the police will be met with either…
1. Sure, Darl, just let me quickly resign from the Supreme Court Bench first or
2. Sorry, Darl, but as you know I’m Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and whilst I only hear civil matters I work in the same building as a Judge who might hear this matter therefore I am conflicted and therefore I really can’t call the cops for you. In fact, best if I skedaddle as I don’t want there to be even the appearance of a conflict.
I reckon Thomson is guilty as sin. I reckon Williamson is worse. I reckon Jackson is far from lily white.
Fk me! The things you learn here … I always thought that guilt was an absolute … and now I find that there are fkn “levels” of guilt … sounds very Caflick to me …
The Wicks thing though simply has that all too familiar stench of destroying anyone who might blow the whistle on the corrupt activities in the Labor movement. We’ve seen it so often.
So where is Godwin Grech these days?
Single minded and one eyed … as usual …
I love reading your posts, James, keep ’em coming! 😉
Ho, ho another one …
So when I finally get my degree and rise through the ranks to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court …
Your analogies are hilarious too … 😛

And the main thrust of what Wixxy is saying is, why did it not also look into other suspect actions. The report appears to have steered away from looking into any other area of the organisation at all. It had its objectives in mind, delivered to it in a highly political manner, and stuck to them, rigidly, even though scope, and, it appears from Wixxy’s column, evidence, was there to allow it to expand.

As far as I am aware, I thought the report only mention Thom(p)son in reference to the role he played within the office (see how I did that 😉 ). Not his financial areas. I thought that Williamson basically got all the dubious findings there?

Stick around, TB, you appear to have a lot to learn.

…as if 😆
And if per chance you did, you will behave in the same biased and prejudiced way that others blinded by power do, you will interfere to gain a personally desired outcome.
You should dial 000 from home and call the police to deal with your domestic emergency…but if you took it further and tried to interfere in the criminal case and judicial process to force a particular outcome using your work contacts and influence…then yes, you would have a conflict of interest. It is frightening that conservatives can’t see conflict of interest, have you become so used to behind the scenes manipulations and interference that it is seen as normal practise?

Apparently it’s “in the eye of the beholder” TB.
Stick around, TB, you appear to have a lot to learn.
I’m sure I have … but at least I recognise it … 😆
