EXCLUSIVE: GILLARD PRAISES MUMBAI CALL CENTRE ECONOMY.

October 17, 2012

Thanks to our exclusive EXCLUSIVE sources, The Daily Trash can reveal that Julia Gillard’s latest footwear malfunction has damaged relationships with emerging superpower India irrefutably beyond salvation.

The Prime Minister was visiting India to “ostensibly” forge good relationships with our greatest source of outsourced employment much to the detriment of local Australians who simply can’t find a job.

“India is a tremendous success story,” said Ms Gillard, praising the developing country’s nation for eagerly unburdening Australia from the responsibility or finding low-qualified workers with low paid jobs that wouldn’t be tolerated in ordinary mainstream society.

“Youse have provided job obbordunidies for the lowest possible wages that simply wouldn’t be tolerated in Australia, and for that we salude you,” said Ms Gillard.

Meanwhile back in Australia, university graduates who have paid sometimes in excess of hundreds of thousands of dollars intuition fees are unable to find employment upon graduation.

Shouldn’t be doing their degrees in arts and going into journalism then should they!

“Shouldn’t be doing their degrees in arts and going into journalism then should they”

That is certainly a large part of the problem. It is the same here…We have thousands of graduates sitting around scratching their heads in disbelief that their English Lit degree, Theater etc didn’t prepare them for anything in the “real world” but more English Lit or Theater…

We currently have talk of the next big crash here coming from the “student loan” bubble that has much of the same roots as the mortgage fiasco here. Government promising a “dream”, subsidizing it, educational institutions reaping massive profits as they jack up tuition rates because the can! Why, because government (aka tax payers) is subsidizing them. The result has been a flood of degrees into the working world with no real skills or abilities…But hey, everybody has a right to higher education right?

‘giving agencies a financial incentive to dog former students to the grave.’

We have a different system here, if the Arts graduate ends up unemployable the state won’t try and extract blood from a stone.

    This is humane.

… university graduates who have paid sometimes in excess of hundreds of thousands of dollars intuition fees

.. and some of us are simply born with “intuition”* … (sarc alert, Jummy!) Ya wee Scottish git! 😉

I think that would classify as a Spoonerism?

Go on say something, you'll feel better...
