Julia Gillard urged to Step Down after Bloodbath in WA
- Labor MPs openly calling for Gillard to go after landslide defeat in WA
- Labor’s “toxic” brand blamed for election disaster
- Gillard “no longer listening” claim critics
In a landslide win in the state on Saturday, Liberal candidate Colin Barnett has been re-elected premier and Labor challenger Mark McGowan has conceded defeat.
The Liberals, who will once again form a coalition with the Nationals, kept all of the 24 seats they won at the 2008 election, secured a further seven seats and a few were still up for grabs, Mr Barnett said in his victory speech.
With three quarters of the vote counted late on Saturday night, the Liberals have enjoyed a swing of 8.5% which could translate into many as 40 seats for the coalition to Labor’s 19.
Mr Barnett said he would govern alongside the Nationals, despite the Liberals winning an overall majority in their own right.
Federal Defence minister Stephen Smith admitted that federal issues had “dragged down” Mark McGowan’s local campaign conceding that federal Labor had “many issues to work on” before the general election on 14 September.
Julia Gillard has not set foot in WA since December, agreeing to calls from campaign organisers not to participate in the campaign amid concerns voters’ views about federal politics were “toxic”.
Former Labor Minister Alannah MacTiernan says she thinks Julia Gillard should go.
“At a personal level, I think Julia Gillard is a very decent person but you can’t be a leader if people don’t want you as a leader, and that unfortunately has to be a reality that our Prime Minister needs to take on board,” she said.
“I know it may be very unfair and very horrible but that is the reality out there; people do not buy Julia Gillard as a leader.”
Ms MacTiernan says Labor should change its leadership before the federal election.
“You cannot go out doorknocking in Armadale and go out to the shopping centres in Forrestfield and Perth and get Labor people telling you that they’ll vote for Labor this time at the state election but there’s no way they’ll vote for Labor federally,” she said.
“I mean you can’t ignore that” she added.

The ALP should blame Michelle Grattan for this result.
(prepare for ‘teabag’ reply)
The polls too ToM.
The polls are part of the hate media anti-Gillard conspiracy thing too. In fact the “whole world” is part of this heinous scheme…!
Yes, it’s a conspiracy against Gillard that involves everyone!
(other than Gillard)
Gillard is good to go, Stephen Smith for PM after Easter.
Former Labor Minister Alannah MacTiernan is a teabagger on Murdoch’s payroll, just like Grattan & Tanner!
Labor are going to get their arses handed to them federally too.
More’s the pity, in the face of this electoral bitchslap, their monocular blog limpets are simply going to put their fingers in their ears & screech about it all being the media’s fault; like the media cast the votes of the entire population.
The soon-to-be vanquished are already rehearsing their excuses in earnest, everywhere you’d care to look on aligned political blogs.
* none of this indicates that I’m yearning for a Tony Abbott ascendancy; quite the opposite. It’s simply that the blindingly obvious is impossible to ignore…I just don’t have enough blind faith or political zeal for TEAM ALP.
Aligned political chat rooms will be fun to visit in the years ahead.
I like how, journos formally accepted as ‘pro-ALP’ are instantly decried if they deign to criticise Gillard in any way shape or form. Even former or current ALP MP’s who do the same are slandered by pro-Gillard blogtroopers.
Dissonant cognition. 😯
I gape in wonder as these adherents claim that “I just won’t/don’t listen to [insert non-pro-Gillard journo of choice here] anymore!”.
No fucking wonder these people can’t handle being challenged with contrary opinion.
It leads me to ponder, what the fuck would they do if the ALP did dump Gillard? It’s not like it hasn’t been done before.
I recall all of the same sort of blind adherence & towing the party line before Rudd got knifed…followed almost immediately by the illogical contortions, without pausing for breath, that saw those stuckfast to the Rudd ALP instantly adopting the new party line under the Gillard ALP. 🙄
How the fuck do these people manage to mindtrick themselves like that?!
unfknblvbl
‘How the fuck do these people manage to mindtrick themselves like that?!’
They have been severely brainwashed.
‘It leads me to ponder, what the fuck would they do if the ALP did dump Gillard?’
They won’t like it because … well, its just unthinkable. They would prefer to go down to the wire with their joan of arc, lose badly and blame hate media for ever more.
The left are big on conspiracy theories.
55% of the electorate is involved in a conspiracy to bring down Our elected Prime Minister.
====
Meanwhile, here on the Victorian coast the conditions are quite remarkable. Anyone watching would observe that it’s interesting that such an old bloke can still scurry to his feet.
ELEANOR HALL: So you’re confident that the election federally will be in September, and that Labor will be led by Julia Gillard?
STEPHEN SMITH: Absolutely.
Hmmm……
“How the fuck do these people manage to mindtrick themselves like that?!’”
Blind mindless groupthink springs to mind.
They’ll all be topping themselves come September 14.
Rightwing Troll !!!
Abbott Lover !!!
Woman Hater !!!
That’s about the extent of it Boss.
…’teabag’
Seriously though.
Hypothetically speaking, what would the partisan drones & lickspittles do if the ALP were to panic (again) & knife their PM (again) in the next fortnight (not that I think this will happen)?
As I see it, there are a couple of likely predictable reactions from the symphony of sycophancy…
1- They are aghast that such a thing could happen to Julia (our bestest PM ever) & vow to not vote for the ALP on principle. Obviously, they’re not about to jump ship to Abbott (commendably)…so maybe they go informal in protest (which is kinda like pumping Abbott’s nads anyway).
2- Without missing a step, they quickly assimilate the new Party line under PM(whoever) & blame the media/noise-polls/leprechauns for the unfortunate turn of events for the demise of that Gillard person, whom, they all suggest, was getting a bit stale anyway.
Dr Surf is a paid Murdoch minion who exists only to run interference for Australia’s next PM, Tony Abbott.
I think there would be a frenzy of BLAME THE MEDIA for about 2 weeks. Then they would rally around the new leader. There would be lots of congratulations to Gillard for making such a dignified speech after her loss.
Following this I think we would hear something about the media.
I’m just amazed by the way in which they are ALL just a bunch of rusted-on Gillard apologists…
When the site first opened, there were quite a few people with alternative views like Treeman, Dragonista and Crash Skeptic.
They’ve either self-selected out, or been banned.
What is glaringly obvious is that if you dare to criticise them, you get hauled up for making snide remarks, but Minglo don’t chastise the snide remarks that are directed towards their critics.
Minglo have done well to garner such a loyal following, but if the objective was to simply create another massive echo chamber of Gillard-apologists – like the cafe on steroids – one wonders what what on Earth was really the point?
😯
You predict them well !…almost… too well …
Could it be that you are actually… one of them …? 😯
Are those people for real?
Are they going to be genuinely surprised when the loathsome Abbott tramples his way onto the throne, unchecked?
I imagine that the blame will be placed everywhere except at the feet of the ALP.
It beggars belief that they find such comfort within various echochambers that they can’t let cold, unsavoury reality influence their thinking.
Who will think of the children?
How did it come to this?
*gnash, gnash*
*wail, wail*
‘…one wonders what what on Earth was really the point?’
It is mystifying, but I suspect ego plays a part and maybe it has something to do with getting the wagons in a circle and waiting for the cavalry.
On another matter, the Queen is going to make a pledge to promote gay rights and ‘gender equality’. They say this is very controversial.
It’s true!
*’Julia left a marvelous legacy’
*’She never had a chance, with the media dancing to the tune of Murdoch and Gina’
*She will always be Our Prime Minister’
*’A role model for all women’
*Dignified and tough to the end
*I’m sure Rudd/Shorten/Crean/Smith will do a great job, if the media let them.
‘What will happen to Tim?’
* he makes an ‘honest woman’ of her?… *boom, tish!*
Tim and Julia to retire to their beautiful Altona residence. Bliss.
BAN THE MEDIA
—
I have to go and carve some water.
Its unofficial, but I know for a fact that Treeman, Dragonista, Crash Skeptic and me are banned at those other places.
Well I think it is time for Tim to marry Julia. It is their only hope.
The pre-election wedding and honeymoon. Woman’s Weekly pictorials. It will give them a bounce with a large percentage of the population who are just brain dead.
You know you might be onto something there Neil…
Holy crap, I find myself laughing with Neil, instead of at him…as is my usual custom.
😯
I’ve just spent half an hour of my swiftly diminishing time on this planet, reading the comments on the latest thread at AIMN … while I had hopes for Miggsy’s “dream” … my cynicism and “reality” seems to be flaming brightly … I’m sure some of you have read my initial comments at AIMN …
Many times its sad to see the outcome of a prediction …
I was once told that … A Realist is a fallen Idealist … I can relate to that …
I could never vote for a LibNit Coalition led by a Neanderthal, like, Tony Abbott … just as i couldn’t vote for a business controlled pawn like, Noddy Newman …
But I’ll be fkd if I could vote for the ALP at the moment …
The one thing that worries me is a national and state landslide of Liberal controlled country and states … if that happens, the GST will skyrocket!
” could never vote for a LibNit Coalition led by a Neanderthal, like, Tony Abbott ”
Why is Abbott a Neanderthal?? Because he has a wife and three kids??
Why do not you admit the truth. A leader of the Libs could solve cancer and you would still not vote for them.
The ALP could destroy Australia, produce 2 years of double digit unemployment and you would never vote for the Coalition.
‘The one thing that worries me is a national and state landslide of Liberal controlled country and states …’
It won’t be so bad, O’Farrell continues to be popular in NSW.
“my cynicism and “reality” seems to be flaming brightly”
Indeed.
It’s all very entertaining though…
The latest rant from rusted-on Gillard apologist Victoria Rollison “An open letter to Michelle Grattan” is an absolute classic!
It’s funny how Minglo don’t like anyone telling them how to run their blog, but it’s perfectly ok for them to tell Michelle Grattan what she ought to be writing at The Conversation.
There are some priceless quotes. It begins politely enough with…
Dear Michelle Grattan
I’m writing to congratulate you on your new job…
But it’s not long until the lecturing starts:
“I am sick of your chosen ‘narrative’ that Gillard is lacking in credibility, that she is desperate, and that she is a failed Prime Minister…”
Victoria doesn’t hold back..
“Instead of offering the opposite of diversity with your broken record of meaningless drivel …
Meaningless drivel, as opposed to the stuff Victoria writes… ?
But it doesn’t stop there…
“What really annoys me about you Michelle is that you should know better.”
Condescending much…?
But no it doesn’t stop there either…
“Your job was to watch, analyse and report. People trusted you to do this in a balanced way. You abused this trust every time you turned on your Fairfax computer.”
Abused this trust…? WTF is Victoria on about…?
Finally we get to the end of the rant where Victoria simply asks for Michelle Grattan to resign…
“Perhaps it’s time you fell on your sword.”
Nice one. So a letter that begins “congratulations on your new job” ends with “shouldn’t you resign”
And the Gillard cheer club lap it all up…
It’s simply extraordinary… 😯
… you would still not vote for them.
Certainly not on your recommendation, sunshine …
I gotta say, I’ve (obviously) been having a bit of a look there recently. I also, was hoping it would prove to be not just ‘Independent’ media, but tolerant of those who didn’t sing from the (frankly, to be expected) ALP himn book.
I wouldn’t bother telling anyone how to run their blog, that’s their own concern. And I am sincere when I say that, in principle, AIMN is a great idea.
Here’s the ‘but’…
BUT …it is abundantly clear that the more mindless (not all of them) Gillardsturbators are held to much different standards of conduct than dissenters.
In fact, I’ve read sundry calls from the monocular to curtail or ban any dissent. They don’t seem to comprehend that the line they themselves run is just an opinion too. A lot of them are only interested in an echo-chamber…& get all pissy when challenged.
Again, I stress, not all of them are that simple; some are great, articulate writers.
I have a lot of sympathy for miglo & what he’s trying to achieve. Given the multitude of whining from some of the slaverers, in comments, I can only imagine that he’s being inundated with complaints & pleas to ban you guys behind the scenes. Something he’s resisted so far; to his credit. His admonitions towards you, I read as ‘required’ by the more nutty base. I don’t think they’re hostile per se.
Anyhow, it’s pretty obvious that this rathole is under surveilance, so hopefully my comments here don’t negatively impact your interactions there. I stay away, because if I were to be accused of being an Abbottlover or suchlike, I’m likely to be rather incendiary in return…& I genuinely don’t want to make trouble for miglo.
There will be a reckoning on Sep 14. Unfortunately, fanatics have a way of being able to maintain their delirium, even in the face of real world occurences.
Honestly, some of them are no better than the kind of biased, abusive ignorance that the dumber Bolt commenters have to offer.
Best thing you guys can do is not retaliate in kind.
* hymn book
FFS, I’ve even found myself sympathising with Inane Hall on rare occasions there.
If that don’t beat all!
* for the record…Fed Up is off its trolley.
* fkn occurrences
“for the record…Fed Up is off its trolley.”
Completely off the fkn planet…. Boss..
But they all think she’s marvellous over there… 😯
So we all think AIMN is a great idea, but the editor is wrong for the job.
“Certainly not on your recommendation, sunshine …”
Hey TB
Why don’t you tell me again how many casualties we had in the Iraq war.
Former WA ALP Premier Geoff Gallop made a good point today, he said – “first you have to have public trust, then they’ll look at your policies”
That’s where Gillard has lost it, only a minority of people trust her.
” BUT …it is abundantly clear that the more mindless (not all of them) Gillardsturbators are held to much different standards of conduct than dissenters.”
That’s the truth, it is a site that has some thoughtful writers, and its objectives are laudable.
But selective bannings and tolerance of the behaviour of the insults thrown by some of the ALP barrackers is making it into just another echo chamber.
It has been suggested that the Coalition, having tasted blood in WA, will hunt down Smith and Gray’s seats for good measure.
Victory would be delicious.
‘insults thrown by some of the ALP barrackers’
I mentioned the other day that ALP staffers have adopted green ideology and in this respect I see Miglo et al. as watermelons.
Why don’t you tell me again how many casualties we had in the Iraq war.
I’m still waiting for your apology … in the case you “quote” I actually apologised for my mistaken typo … if you didn’t act like a schoolboy you wouldn’t be treated like one …
My experience with people like you, is that they go to church on Sunday, “confess”, oops, ‘reconcile” and then get out and lie and cheat and steal and break every one of your commandments you can, reconcile again and again and again and then vote Liberal … I’ve read enough of your silly schoolboy posts over the years to know a Liberal sycophant when I read one …
I guess you’ve got three choices (’cause this isn’t CW!) … don’t mess with me … mess with me 🙂 …. or do what you did last time when you were caught out and didn’t apologise … and just fuck off! (My apologies, Blogmeaster – as you know I really have difficulty with all Fuckwits™)
BTW, sunshine, I can easily regurgitate the BS that you spewed up last time … all you’ve gotta do is push me a bit more …
Well I’ve been banned (again) at AIMN…
Minglo don’t like people pointing out their blatant hypocrisy…
It’s quite pathetic really…
They’d rather have an echo chamber of Gillard apologists than any sort of “objective” political discourse…
So much for the “Independent” in “Independent Media Network,” they’ve just become the Gillard Cheer Squad’ mirror image of Andrew Bolt or Alan Jones.
It’s pathetic…
But anyway who gives a flying fuck…
I’d rather move in circles where the debate is a little less blinkered…
And just for the record, no one is presently banned here at TDT, anyone can comment freely…
Even Nils and me … 🙂
At least one poster at AIMN did say that its a Left wing blog … as I recall?
Well I’ve been banned simply for offering a different point of view from the “Gillard is Great” meme…
They’re all going to be killing themselves come Sept 14…
Their mindset there is very much like this guy..
“At least one poster at AIMN did say that its a Left wing blog … as I recall?
How can anyone say it’s a “left-wing” blog, when Labor is now a “right-wing” party..
Even the left-wingers are confused… 😯
Bizarre!
I thought the editor might have a little more honour.
Miglo’s banning EVERYONE who can’t tow the line now….
One word…
PATHETIC.
And if some of you (particularly lurkers from o/seas) were curious re my absence last week I was on the HB Penryhn in beautiful Tin Can Bay, just of Fraser Island (where the real tourists go, sreb, 😉 )
On the way up, one stoppage over a flooded bridge … the Santa Fe was in its element, beautiful car to drive! Almost three hours from Brisbane to our houseboat pick up …
Two mudcrabs on day one, FOUR in one crab pot on day two … tossed three tiny ones and one fullsize ginny (illegal to keep) … eight whiting (four over 18″ – I kid you not!) … on the way back 1.5metre swells as we crossed the channel opposite the Rainbow Beach Fraser ferry … put the twin outboards out of alignment .. like steering two great elephants …
A great time had by all … our two (LIberal voting!) friends/neighbours survived too!
when Labor is now a “right-wing” party..
Ahhh! That explains the gay marriage thingy and kow towing to the church … does that make QII a radical left winger?
Miglo’s banning EVERYONE who can’t tow the line now….
Please explain?
As ToM would tell you I’m too old to bother checking these days …
Oh, forgot the houseboat pics/site …
http://www.luxuryafloat.com.au/house_boats.html
“does that make QII a radical left winger?”
It certainly makes Her Madge a lot more radical than Julia Gillard, and that really speaks volumes doesn’t it…….. 😯
“Please explain?”
Well I’ve been banned simply for offering a different point of view.
Minglo clearly don’t want that, unless it’s offered under their “guidelines” … In other words “Gillard-friendly” comments…
They’ve simply become the mirror image of everything they despise in their so-called perception of the “right-wing msm” which makes one wonder what they’ve actually accomplished.
At any rate, they’ll be in for a rude awakening come Sept 14…
I consider Jason’s recent homophobic comments to be among the most outrageous and inflammatory I’ve seen on any blog.
But I don’t imagine that matters – he’s an ardent ALP supporter.
He’s a psycho and a fuckwit, so he fits in nicely….
Just sayin’….
Couldn’t find “Jason” … but just had my say …
Jason is a f**kwit. Dull .
‘For investors – another crash is very close!’
Could you flesh that out a little?
lt seems some received stale biscotti with their coffee-2 recently. *just_sayin*
l really doubt WA will translate to Federal reb. lt does give zombie-media something to instill Lefty-panic with, and un-earned hope for the Teabags. Everybody seems to be too young to know, or too senile to remember the great `un-losable election for Hewson.

Your banned again. Good ridence to trolls.
http://cafewhispers.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/what-people-are-saying-about-tony-abbott/
this one seems interesting and different from the usual
” it is a tad rich for Gillard’s supporters to decry Rudd’s antics and blame him for the government’s woes. __ The harsh reality for Gillard is that Rudd would have no traction if she were not so persistently accident-prone, so often inclined to taking rash decisions without fully consulting her colleagues – as in the Nova Peris shambles – and so incapable of winning over the Australian electorate.”
http://oconnoroz.wordpress.com/2013/02/20/gillard-go-with-dignity/

*the teabags will enjoy this one*
‘l really doubt WA will translate to Federal’
Care to bet on that?
Someone is not telling the truth
http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/national/carr-and-iemma-clash-over-obeid/story-e6frfku9-1226594456992
Bob Carr says
“Senator Carr, now the foreign affairs minister, has accused Mr Iemma of a serious error by allowing Mr Obeid “special status” in his government.
“I’m sure that Morris Iemma, a very decent – decent and honest figure – would reflect that it was a cardinal mistake to allow Obeid that special status and privilege,..”
Iemma replies
“He was a cabinet minister in Bob’s government. He was a backbencher in my government,” Mr Iemma told Fairfax Media.”
Tabit is human after all and will get some extra bounce with this.
‘Interviewed at a family barbecue at his Sydney home, Mr Abbott’s sister, Christine Forster, said he was ”completely unfazed” when she told him she was in a lesbian relationship after 19 years of being married to a man. Her partner, Virginia Edwards, said Mr Abbott and his family had been ”fantastic”.

” Care to bet on that? ”
You delude yourself if you think west coast citizens hold any esteem for east coast politics or politicians. You better stick to `talkabout` gordo.
Everyone’s banned!
So despite Miglo’s stated lofty objectives he’s again demonstrated that he just can’t handle genuine challenge. Not even reasonable, polite challenge.
AIMN is obviously just an empty shell.
=======
Haha should try a spell check.
“Everyone’s banned!”
Get used to it. They think it is normal and reasonable to ban people who disagree with them. No doubt the ALP will reward loyal citizen journalists like Minglo with positions on its Media Censorship Star Chamber. If they fully implement Finkelfuckwit’s report the new Savonarolas will be able to regulate this blog as well.
Just imagine a pack of newly appointed loyalist toadies sitting down to pass judgment on news and opinions which don’t tell the ‘truth’.
“AIMN is obviously just an empty shell.”
It is full of uber-loyalists – brown nose, brown tongue, brown head. They may look and smell bad, but in this era of politics you can get some very nice sinecures and appointments based on that degree of loyalty.
“Minglo have done well to garner such a loyal following,………….”
Green Cordial anyone ………………..?
‘You better stick to `talkabout` gordo.’
You should grow a brain, what we are witnessing is a universal condemnation of the Gillard guvmint.
ABC news:
Amen to that! Most ALP pollies would be out of a job on that basis. Still, I guess that must happen if we are to drain the fetid swamp of Unionland corruption which, under this rotten government, has infected the Federal parliament and touched the highest office in the land. The people are onto to Unionland thuggery and corruption and won’t tolerate it any more!
(Cue look over there responses, anything but facing up to this issue, which is precisely why Labor is drowning in a stinking sewer of its own making).
Meanwhile Tom R replies to a debate in an empty room. Brave.
He needs to check a dictionary for ‘despise’, it doen’t mean ‘inaccurate’
Yep.
I feel a parody coming on.
‘Commongoodism’….
The member for Lord will resume his seat.
Its frustrating for us trolls salivating at the window.
I wouldn’t be too concerned el gordo, Miglo etc monitor this site assiduously, so if you make a comment here, they’ll read it.
All the bannings are remarkable though. It’s clear that Miglo just can’t let go of old grudges and he can’t even tolerate a modicum of reasonable and polite challenge.
Within weeks AIMN has fallen from its lofty objectives to an intolerant gang.
The original idea was good.
“Within weeks AIMN has fallen from its lofty objectives to an intolerant gang.”
Indeed. Pity really…
I think poor old Miglo gets bullied by most of the women folk over there; with their behind the scenes lobbying to ban people that bring up inconvenient truths about the PM.
The only non-Gillard apologist they have left is Iain Hall. And he generally only comments on work-for-the dole days.
I imagine his days will be numbered too..
“Labor is doomed…”
http://blogs.crikey.com.au/northern/2013/03/10/message-to-labor-from-the-deep-north-do-something-now-or-well-all-be-doomed/
Crikey is part of the “hate media” now, as well as The Conversation of course… 🙄
‘And he generally only comments on work-for-the dole days.’
🙂
‘Gone are the days of “class warfare.”
This is patently obvious, although comrade Kitty would no doubt disagree.
”I think poor old Miglo gets bullied by most of the women folk over there”
I have no idea what might cause the odd behaviour, I do know that on several occasions he has said he welcomed my comments. Then banned!
He probably didn’t appreciate my comments about Jason, who is a loyal follower of whatever the ALP is putting out.
AIMN will now debate the critical issues –
• Is Gillard the best Prime Minister in history, or just up there with John Curtin?
• Will the former Pope Benedict become the next Governor General if Abbott wins?
• How the media is responsible for (insert latest Gillard blunder)
I have no idea what might cause the odd behaviour …
I have reason to believe that quite a few posters at CW1 & 2 are (ex) teachers … I stopped discussing our atrocious education system based on”traditional” teaching methods rather than modern learning and competency assessment methods because of the flack and personal attacks … I would have thought a degree in Human Resource Development (where I studied pedagogy AND androgogy) would give me some credence …
… apart from the lack of actual demonstrated competency by far too many children in formal assessments at both primary and secondary school …
Teachers don’t like competency based learning for one reason – if they are incompetent learning facilitators … then their learners will not succeed in assessments … and the spotlight then is on the teacher …
Trainers had/have the same problem, particularly when the National Training Sytem was introduced in 1992 – “chalk and talk” (or telling jokes and having “fun” as one of my bosses used to do), is so much easier than actually helping someone to learn something …
Mmmmm … where did all that come from … 🙂
‘This morning’s commentary follows a rebuke by Ms Gillard to Mr Smith to tone down his comments on the WA election.
‘The Prime Minister was reported to be furious with Mr Smith who conceded the Gillard government had been a “drag” on WA Labor leader Mark McGowan.’
The Daily Telegraph
Also note that Gary Gray agrees with Smith, which means a coup is mooted because these two have nothing to lose in challenging the leader….
egg, re your question about my “crash” comment …
The DJ is at 14000+ … check the DJ for January 2007 just before the crash …
The ASX was around 6000 in Jan 2007 … today just over 5000 … and we are in a better position than most countries (Canada is too) … as we were in 2007 …
The USA does not have enough on the books yet to sustain such a high figure … and not much has changed since the GFC began … Europe is more than sluggish … its on its knees …
The DJ numbers are unsustainable in the present climate … and the house of cards that is the EU would immediately come tumbling down … if the butterfly flapped its wings on Wall St right now …
Just sayin’
