That’s a tragedy, and a shining example of things to come should we continue down the current path and not modernise our economy out of the industrial age!

    Yeah

Who the Hell needs full employment anyway. Lets go full circle back to our Agrarian ways.

If we are really lucky a good old dose of the Black Death might cut the unemployment rate.

‘scuse me, Mr Blogmeaster! Where’s our Weekend Bullshit Fred!

And for those who think the GFC is finished …

    http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/03/22/uk-eurozone-cyprus-idUKBRE92F07R20130322

Disclaimer: I have relatives in the UK (North and South – my parents met during WWII) and get regular personal perspectives about UK and EU …

‘Tis not good … notice how they pick on the small fry (Cyprus) … the EU is run by Robber Barons, with the mentality of private school bullies … THE PEOPLE didn’t stuff up … the fkn banks did, taking advice from the likes of Goldman Sachs (why on earth are they still in business?) …

It’s like mainland Oz telling Tassie to lift their game or they’re on their own and we’ll just cut the mooring rope … mmmmmmmm* …

*sarc alert – I like Tassie and the 500,000 who sail in her! I mean Brisbane only has just over 2,000,000 … and its 6,000² klm** … 😯

Actually the largest single local government area in Oz …

What on earth were they thinking?

They knew I was coming, egg!

Widest streets I believe too … (CBD)

My Government Land Valuation has just skyrocketed … by over $30,000 … thank you Mr Newman … LIBERAL GOVERNMENT … 🙂

No comment on the more important issue of Cyprus, egg …? Not surprised, lots of posters here are pretty narrow minded … easy to identify … 😉

Cyprus could be a big problem ‘going forward’.

The news bulletins never stipulate whether its the Greek or Turkish side, I automatically assume its the Greeks.

” this doesn’t explain why full-time work has become so much less common in Tasmania in just the past few years. Did Tasmanian men decide en masse in 2009 to suddenly cut back their hours? That seems implausible. In any case, it’s not what happened.”

My experience is that Labor Parties trash the budget and we lose our credit rating. People get scared and vote in a Liberal govt to clean up the mess.

Queensland lost its credit rating during the biggest mining boom in Australian history due to Beattie/Bligh.

Let us pray that Newman can clean up the mess.

We unemployed coal workers from the Latrobe Valley call it as we see it. A six pack of Jim Beam and a few cones help to lubricate the honesty glands. It’ll be a bit of a dry spell now until the next dole payment.

l`ve had this for a couple of days but saw it on sbs1 news tonight. Hundreds of crabs and thousands of prawns (dead) washed up on the coast of Chile. (pacific south america) _ l have also heard of this happening before, but in the Atlantic somewhere.

    You can’t be unemployed Joey.

There are a stack of “Green jobs” in Moe

I know that because Julia and Bob Brown promised it 2 years ago.

My friend Eg will enlighten you about all the new jobs created due to the new Carbon Tax

  20. Joey from Moe permalink

The only green jobs in Moe are lawn mowing jobs, but nobody can afford to pay for luxuries like that. You either mow your own lawn if you own a mower, or can borrow one, or you let it grow (which we do, being renters).

Boo hoo Joey. Get off the couch, stop feeling sorry for yourself, and get a job. You give us Valley boys a bad name. (I mow my lawns, plus I got a vego gardin. And chooks.

So we are left with an incompetent government which has so far racked up a debt of a mere 270 billion about to unleash a May budget which needs to fund Gonski and the NDIS in an election year which will mean higher taxes for everyone.

    Yep

The Labor caucus will truly own the result on September 14

I still believe she will be the last of the Labor PMs.

Labor must become a social democrat party and not just a rag tag bunch of unionists.

  23. March 22, 2013 11:09 pm

Just saw the prawns again on sbs1 news, the prawns are bright orange, and look like they have been cooked. Strange.

Just break out some sweet chilli and feast

  25. March 22, 2013 11:17 pm

Nah, not me. You wouldn`t know what else is `discharged` as well as the heat/hot-water. We have to wait and see if there ends up a pile of dead fish or sea-gulls that have feasted on those prawns.

And that is exactly how Australian food makers should be marketing against the “no name” brands.

“Could I have some of those lovely corn cobs”

” would you like extra night soil with that Sir?”
