We’re all Misogynists Now

After three years as Prime Minister, and months of relentless poor polling on a personal satisfaction level, Julia Gillard has lashed out at “the rest of Australia” declaring that the reason behind her staggering lack of popularity is because the electorate simply don’t like having a female as Prime Minister.

In a bizarre display of “reverse-misogyny” Ms Gillard defended her gutter-level satisfaction levels saying that “the rest of Australia” is having difficulty adjusting to a female PM.

Addressing the Foreign Correspondent’s Association in Sydney, Ms Gillard said she had experienced some ”uncomfortable moments” but the path she has forged as Australia’s first female prime minister will make it easier for future women.

”It’s not been ever the norm in our nation before for people to wake up in the morning and look at the news and see a female leader doing this job,” she said as she approaches her three year anniversary in the top job.

”For all of the years before, you would see a man in a suit; I am not a man in a suit and I think that that has taken the nation some time to get used to – I think it is probably still taking the nation a bit of time to get used to.”

”I think it’s the same sort of journey that many nations around the world are on and it speaks really to the changing nature of our times and the forward progress for women in societies like ours.”

”But it’s got some uncomfortable moments along the way. There’s no doubt about that and I feel one of the things that will certainly happen, having had the first female prime minister, is it’s going to be easier for the second, and then it’s going to be easier again for the third.

”And then everybody will get over it and forget about it and no one will even bother to comment any more.”

Well everyone is already “over it.”

Then only person talking about the PM being a female is the PM herself.

It’s the 21st century, we’re all accustomed to ambitious women making valuable contributions in all walks of life including positions of power and authority.

What we don’t like are leaders who are dishonest, can’t be trusted and sabotage their own colleagues for the sake of advancing their own political careers.

Gillard needs to wake up to the fact that Australians don’t resent her because she’s a woman, it’s because she’s a liar, a cheat, and a fraud.

Gillard is so tainted, so dishonest, so distrusted that she has cruelled the way for a generation of women.

” From laughable articles stating wireless is better than fibre (how do you transmit the data from the wireless towers guys?) to smear campaigns designed to bring those knowledgeable on technology into disrepute, this campaign against fibre optics will not stop until these media organisations die out like the dinosaurs they are. “

If only people would focus on Julia’s good points and policy success, like her loyalty, and Medicare Gold, and her “another boat another policy failure” bipartisanship and NAPLAN, and the BER, and her IR policy, and her negotiating skills (ask Wilkie) …

Our Prime Minister represents us in such a dignified way when she’s overseas, and even when she falls flat on her face she hops up as if that happens all the time.

    bizarre display of “reverse-misogyny”
it`s almost as bizarre as Joolya`s outburst of `reverse-atheism`, groveling to froot-loops over `voluntary-euthanasia` and `gay-marriage`, maybe this is the `new` reverse-progressive

the labor power brokers decided rudd needed to be replaced. not her. no one else was more qualified to take his place than her and she has done exceptionally well against a negative fool that sat opposite her. daily telegraph saying she orchestrated rudd’s topple, WRONG.
how about you take your disproportionate media eye over to the liberals and how turnbull and abbott with the help of the whole party voting, stabbed one another in the back? you wont look at that because you are severely bent, twisted and crooked on wanting the liberals to win the election even if it means ignoring facts, being hypocritical and one sided and personal with your reports.
and yes you all obviously have difficulty getting used to a woman in charge, because everyday someone uploads a video, makes a menu, says a comment, posts on twitter a joke or an insult, its about her body and appearance- more specifically, her genitals and her sex life. there are a great many ppl making a big deal about the fact she is female. daily telegraph WRONG AGAIN. you make conservative the new stupid, catering for a small audience devoid of intellect that can only leave one sentence vacuous comments in response. what a poor example of a media outlet.
now, the pm never lied. she said there will be no carbon tax, there is now carbon pricing which is a precursor for an ETS which was always planned by all parties. a carbon tax would be a permanent solution, this one is not.
like in America’s election with fox news, this media agenda will fail and the best party will win. because the public do not like cheats, liars and frauds.

“the labor power brokers decided rudd needed to be replaced. not her.”

So if you are a participant in and the main beneficiary of a conspiracy, if you lie and say that you only made the decision on the day even though you had your victory speech written a couple of weeks before then you are completely innocent?

“ignoring facts, being hypocritical and one sided and personal”

I assume you are looking straight into the mirror as you type that tripe. Maybe if you had actually read a few of reb’s posts detailing his distaste for Abbott you would not come across as such an ignorant cnutter.

“you all obviously have difficulty getting used to a woman in charge”

The fact that Gillard is a truly dire PM has never crossed your mind, has it? So bad in fact that, despite her backing from the ALP power-brokers, the back bench revolted and replaced her with that psychopath Rudd. Do you think Bradbury just discovered his inner misogynist and had the Gillard tattoo removed from his forehead?

Misogyny-screechers like your good self would do better not to make Gillard, a devious, disingenuous, hollowed-out wreck of a human being, their cause celebre. Find someone who hates Carmen Lawrence, Maggie Thatcher and Julia Gillard equally and I might start to think about misogyny as an explanation. Using Gillard, one of our worst PMs, as your misogyny poster-girl merely raises the question of your own sanity.

Gillard wasn’t up to the job, end of story, nothing to do with her being a woman.
IMHO, she used the ” because I’m a woman” card more than anybody else, mainly when she had made another stuff up.

People hate Abbott cause he’s crap, or a mad monk, or useless, despised, one whatever, mmmmmmm, actually, maybe he is useless because he’s a man, that must be it.

Go on say something, you'll feel better...
