“Left-wing” blogger Calls For BLACKLIST!
Self-professed “left-leaning” blogger Michael “Miglo” Taylor, has called for a banning of online commentators who fail to adhere to certain, and as yet undefined, standards when commenting online.
Specifically, Mr Taylor has called for the introduction of a “BLACKLIST” that would see some members of the public automatically banned from making comments in certain online forums that are otherwise open to everyone else.
In what is widely regarded to be a world’s first, Mr Taylor has called upon the administrators of a number of online web discussion forums, often referred to as “blogs,” to impose a ban on participants based on their political views.
Speaking on the left-leaning blog The Political Sword, Mr Taylor suggested an “online blogging model” whereby:
“if a person is banned on one site then that person becomes automatically banned on all conforming sites.”
Really…??
What constitutes a “conforming site?”
As a site that champions, as far as possible, the right of free speech, we are left gobsmacked as to why a so-called “left-leaning” web site administrator could possibly think that this is a good idea..

Simple solution: If you don’t like the comments on your blog, block them! But with respect to other blogs, who is/is not permitted to comment is their business.
It’s up to the blog owner to determine what kind of commentary they’ll permit!

Yes egg, it’s interesting that Nasking could advise against Miglo’s BLACKLIST approach.
Some background is that Nasking had a HUGE falling out with Min and Miglo (they fall out with pretty well everyone, oddly). Nasking was banned from their site, and posts that referred to the name “Nasking” went straight to moderation.
Nasking turned to TPS for his blogging.
Under Miglo’s BLACKLIST, Nasking would have been banned from TPS as well!

Some of us who are continually called ‘leftwing’ by those who identify with teabag extremism actually do think craig thomson was set up in another of the lib party con jobs to overthrow government through abuse of the legal system. I have never been convinced that thomson was not targeted as another lib mafia hit, same as the slipper/ashby saga.
