Voters Turn on Incompetent Abbott Government
- Dramatic Surge in Support for Labor
- Coalition looking like a one term government
- Abbott’s personal approval rating collapses to 1%
Voters have turned against the Abbott government in droves with a new Nielsen poll out today showing that Labor has surged to an election winning position of 52 per cent against 48 per cent for the Coalition on a two-party preferred basis.
Labor’s primary support has also surged four percentage points to 37 per cent, while the Coalition’s support before preferences has fallen five points to 41 per cent.
It is the fastest recovery by any federal opposition after losing an election.
The catastrophic collapse in support for the Coalition comes in the wake of a sudden deterioration in Australia’s relationship with Indonesia.
The Abbott government has so far failed to achieve any of its key election commitments. Joe Hockey promised to end what he called “Labor’s reckless spending” but now wants to increase Australia’s debt by a staggering $200 billion.
According to the Nielsen poll, 50 per cent of respondents disapprove of the Coalition’s handling of asylum seekers, compared to 42 per cent who approve.
Minister for Stopping Immigration Scott Morrison’s “Operation Sovereign Borders” master plan is in tatters with Indonesia withdrawing its support.
On Climate Change, the poll found that Australians overwhelmingly wanted to see Australia meet the nation’s commitment to cut emissions by 5 per cent by 2020 based on year 2000 levels.
No one believes that Tony Abbott’s so-called “direct action plan” will actually achieve anything. Just 12 per cent of voters believe Mr Abbott’s policy of using taxpayer funds to purchase emissions reductions from polluters, and planting trees, is the answer.
That amounts to a virtual vote of no-confidence in direct action, which has support 4 percentage points lower than the 16 per cent in favour of keeping a fixed carbon price.
Boy oh boy! The blogs are coming thick and fast this morning! Abbott’s now Mr.1%! I just can’t stop smiling.
It was a short honeymoon.
I don’t think Shorten is a mastermind
You lot are certainly clutching at straws here!
Pity people didn’t wake up to Abbott before the election … come to think of it, though, the alternative wasn’t much … and still isn’t …
We agree again, ToM … 😉
They’re only polls, inane … 😆 😆
Hockey will make some inane remark too … 😆 😆
I guess Indonesia’s “macho culture” is a more powerful than Abbott’s “macho ego” …;-)
The Abbott is F#@KED
‘I guess Indonesia’s “macho culture” is a more powerful than Abbott’s “macho ego” … 😉 ‘
Whoa … our northern neighbours are going to an election early next year, which colours things differently.
When Abbott was running he also became a bully boy.
OK TB
I agree its “only the polls” but anyone would think that those polls were the definitive judgement on the Abbott Government They are clearly a rogue poll because the Polls published in the Oz show government support being maintained .
“You’re doing a heck of a job, Tony.”
oh Hall your funny, saying that an Oz poll is supporting the govt, 😆 😆 😆
You, that has quoted that polls before the election said the ALP were dead and buried, now this one, a rogue poll 😆 😆 😆
Next you’ll be saying the Abbott is doing a great job. 😆 😆 😆
Fell out me chair reading that from you.
a screenshot from today’s Oz
“They are clearly a rogue poll “
clearly. LOL.
Of course it would show the LNP leading you IDIOT, it is a Murdoch poll, the man who bought the PM
Paul
I know how fallible Polls are But I also well recall how you and your Ilk were insisting that they are meaningless when they pointed to Gillard and Rudd losing to Abbott , Oh how i laughed when the election results came in and you had to accept that you were oh so wrong.
Well if you want to resort to that sort of logic Paul lets apply it to the Neilson Poll, which being commissioned by the Fairfax press is BOUND to endorse the ALP…
You see it works both ways doesn’t it?
Way should we think that Fairfax poll is any less biased than one from News LTD?
Yes and you said it would be a landslide, far from the fact, so why not tell us over at your site about how well the govt is going, going down the toilet faster than a rotten Turd.
So Hall, every poll the fairfax publish and every other poll that puts the ALP in front is a rogue poll, every poll from the Oz is a true indication of the electorate.
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Such a wanker
i was not the only one to predict and even better result for the LNP than the very strong position that they currently hold.
That said you surely over egg the pudding to suggest that the Abbott government is in any sort of trouble. It certainly is annoying that Rudd has bequeathed yet another mess to his successor but i have no doubt that Tony Abbott will systematically work through the issues and find a solution.
I have as it happens been writing about the performance of the government, amongst other topics that are rather more interesting to me,
You on the overhand have nothing but dreams of the failure of the government that ore bound to be disappointed by the reality that they grown ups are in charge and they will solve the problems (even the issues from Rudd) in good time.
Paul
No I don’t say that at all, in fact I clearly say “I know how fallible (all) Polls are” and with a small sample the Fairfax Poll is as fallible as the ones in the OZ. Especially compared to the very big poll that was the last general election
Grown ups, 😆 😆
you said the ALP would be decimated. How wrong u were 😆 😆 😆
Work through, stuff up don’t you mean. 😆 😆 😆
So you have been writing about how bad this govt is going. 😆 😆 😆 😆
Anyone get the feeling that Inane is a bit rattled this morning…?? 😆
“the grown ups are in charge”
Yeah, like Bronwyn Bishop and Christopher Pyne… 😆
Christopher Pyne:
“All foam and no beer.”
Voters flocking back to Labor…
http://www.afr.com/p/national/end_look_gillard_rudd_era_has_voters_ULiugxvQHjhEHbALHmmESO
Stop the boats from the first day of govt, that was a big lie. 😆 😆 😆
Buy back the boats from day one of the govt. Not one boat bought. 😆 😆 😆 😆
Be a more open govt. Now that is a lie. 😆 😆 😆
I cannot stop laughing at this govt. 😆 😆 😆
Cannot stop laughing at Inane supporting this govt. 😆 😆 😆
Paul
Grown ups,
Yes Paul they are grown ups who are making grown up decisions, rather than engaging in endless spin.
Gee so who has a commanding majority in the House of Reps Paul? It certainly ain’t Labor!
And who created the current Stuff up? Oh that’s right it was Rudd and Gillard wasn’t it? How short your memory is.
Yes I have try here or here
Spin, yes the LNP are good at the Spin, especially when you have News LTD behind you.
😆 😆 😆 😆
Three word slogans, LNP good at that to 😆 😆 😆 😆
“rather than engaging in endless spin.”
How many boats have been bought…?? 😆
Paul
You laugh all you want now but it is your hopes and political desires that are going to be endlessly frustrated over this and subsequent terms of government while I may certainly have some occasional reservations about government action I expect to be a great deal happier over the next decade than you will be.
Reb
There is very little need to buy any boats when the government have already reduced the numbers getting on boats by 90%. Thanks largely to the reintroduction of TPVs and a strict adherence to the offshore processing regime. getting Sri Lanka onside has helped too.
So your saying the LNP will win the next election. 😆 😆 😆
The way things are going the Abbott will be toppled before then. 😆 😆 😆 😆
But who to replace him with, a Bishop perhaps. 😆 😆 😆
A Turncoat 😆 😆 😆
Poodle Hissy fit pyne 😆 😆 😆
A hockey pie. 😆 😆 😆
“the government have already reduced the numbers getting on boats by 90%.”
From the files of “Inanefacts.”
Got a link for that nonsense claim Inane?
But didn’t the Abbott say he was going to stop all the boats????? from the first day of Govt.
90% how does he know? No-one else does not even Morriscum?
Making stuff up again?
I do like to see the lack of understanding when it comes to “irony” with the tories …
They’re only polls, inane … 😆 😆
Even the double smiley wasn’t a clue …
“No-one else does not even Morriscum”
Why do you make fun of Morrison?? He is actually trying to bring fairness into our humanitarian program and give a small amount of hope to people in UNHCR camps.
Under Howard most of our humanitarian spots went to people in UNCHR camps. Under Labor they went to people with $$$$$$$$10,000.
You most probably have destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of people stuck in UNCHCR camps.
The only scum are Rudd and the people who voted for him in 2007.
I think they mentioned something about getting rid of Labor’s debt too, if I’m not mistaken….
😆 😆
“Why do you make fun of Morrison??”
Because he’s a CUNT.
{I’m glad we’ve cleared that up}
“Because he’s a CUNT.”
Why?? Do you think we should have a quota system or allow all 20-40 million refugees in.
Under Rudd most of our humanitarian places went to people with money and most probably were not refugees. Under Morrison let us hope they go to people in UNHCR camps.
‘Pyne – all foam and no beer’ Rofalmao!
“Because he’s a CUNT” – truer words never spoken, and now he’s trying to weasel out of the school funding agreements! Dead shit of the decade award for the Poodle Pyne.
Whoops… meant Morrison in regard to above comment, but duzenmadder, they’re all interchangeable.
“Because he’s a CUNT”
Actually that would be my term for everybody who voted for Rudd in 2007 and continues to vote Labor.
Under Morrison refugees in UNHCR camps now have a chance for a new life in Australia. They didn’t under Rudd/Gillard.
“Under Morrison refugees in UNHCR camps now have a chance for a new life in Australia.”
Actually they don’t. Morriscum and Abbott want to reintroduce TPVs remember? Which would see refugees sent to where they came from after the Aus govt decides the threat of harm in their home country has passed.
Do keep up Neil… 😉
“Under Morrison refugees in UNHCR camps now have a chance for a new life in Australia.”
This is actually a correct statement Mr Reb.
Under Rudd/Gillard we only took boat people with $10,000. And they most probably were not refugees but economic immigrants like the Mexicans who cross the border seeking a better life in the US.
Under John Howard we took our refugees from UNHCR camps. Morrison is trying to get that system up and working again.
Morrison has given a small amount of hope to people in UNHCR camps which was taken away by Rudd/Gillard and the people who voted for them.
By the way. TPV’s only apply to boat people i think.
Do keep up.
The TPVs will apply to asylum seekers who are found to be genuine refugees.
Teh boat people get sent packing remember?
I think you got that wrong (maybe).
I think under Howard we flew in 14000 people from UNHCR camps. The TPV’s were used to stop boat people coming and jumping the queue.
Under Howard most of our refugees came from UNHCR camps. I am not sure how it worked but i guess there was some sort of selection process and if you were lucky you got one of the 14,000 places and were flown in. I don’t know what happened after that. Perhaps someone who works in this area can tell us how refugees were dispersed in Australia under Amanda Vanstone.
In 2007 our detention centers were empty because Howard stopped the boats and we took most of our refugees from UNHCR camps.
Let us hope Morrison can get this much fairer system back up and running.
And now its education reform’s turn … hypocrisy anyone …
http://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/schools-funding-not-at-risk-pyne/story-e6frfku9-1226767614412
You most probably have destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of people stuck in UNCHCR camps.
erm, I’m not a pollie, Kneel … I have no control over anything … including myself … 🙄
Under Rudd most of our humanitarian places went to people with money and most probably were not refugees. Under Morrison let us hope they go to people in UNHCR camps.
Are you reading, Inane Facts & Figures? Or just making stuff up, Kneel?
BTW, Kneel, Howard’s was found to be illegal … I provided that info to you months ago … memory loss or idealogical brain misfunction but the times they are a changing …
… living in the past is a problem for tories – don’t fall for it … it is a swamp, of fetid ideas and stinking mistakes that float to the surface, bubble and writhe and seek rejuvenation from the unsuspecting spawn of the living dead, every decade or so … POP! 😯
So much for The Abbott wanting the Carbon Tax repealed before the new Senate sits, I say he is Chicken and now does not want to go to a DD, as he knows he will loose after today’s poll.
http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/parliaments-midwinter-sitting-hints-at-carbon-tax-repeal-wait-20131125-2y59t.html
Inane is talking about grown up…fucking hysterical. Thats about as believable as as his blog, his intellect and the doctors certificate that got him that DSP…
‘I say he is Chicken’
I call it political pragmatism, with only a few months the difference its better to hold back until July. Then it should pass through comfortably or he’ll call a DD.
The Abbott would not know what pragmatism is.
Paul Abbott thinks that’s a brand of chainsaw… I have met Scott Morrison on two occasions and can confirm he is indeed a onerous cunt of the highest magnitude only to be out done by Mr 1%
I don’t think anyone in the coalition has a brain amongst them.
“BTW, Kneel, Howard’s was found to be illegal … I provided that info to you months ago”
Yes and i responded and said that Labors Malaysian proposal was found illegal. I don’t think Howards Pacific Solution which Labor disbanded has ever been to court.
#Guffaw
Yes and i responded and said that Labors Malaysian proposal was found illegal.
er, we weren’t talking about the Malaysian proposal … one that I argued against at the time anyway … irrelevant …
You brought up that Howard’s solution needed to regurgitated …
Both proposals were inhumane …
????
What are you talking about?? You said this “BTW, Kneel, Howard’s was found to be illegal”
I do not understand what you are talking about. The Pacific Solution has never been tested in court.
#ray.dixon.is.correct
Reb
what precisely is wrong with a TPV? they meet our obligations under the UN treaty which does not require any country to offer “asylum-seekers” either permanent residency, work rights pr any right to sponsor family members to immigrate.
Precisely how many should we allow in anyway?
Paul
you are channeling your inner totalitarian again, what do you expect Abbott to do to get the repeal passed? Call in the SAS?
His promise, which he has kept, was to make the repeal of the Carbon tax the first order of business.
Ricky boy
you are still smarting from that critique that I wrote about your futile attempt at prose I see 🙄 clearly you yourself are very far from being at all grown up but if you want to share a vid of my car, this one is far more recent with commentary by my nine year old son.
How is that dodgy ticker of yours going BTW?
have you signed a Do not resuscitate order yet?
You know you should 😉
Teabag Panic
I agree that sometimes Ray is right, sometimes he isn’t when it comes to Indonesia I agree with him that they are untrustworthy and duplicitous but I disagree with his contention that Abbott should apologise.
Inane,
We’re still waiting for you to provide a link for your claim that 90% of asylum seeker boats have stopped under the new govt…
KNEEL, you said this …
In 2007 our detention centers were empty because Howard stopped the boats and we took most of our refugees from UNHCR camps.
Let us hope Morrison can get this much fairer system back up and running.
You first brought the subject up … 🙄
The Pacific Solution has never been tested in court.
Not everything needs to be “tested” in court … breaches of state, national and international legislation does not necessarily have to be “tested” to be illegal …
Click to access 3wood.pdf
Inane, the stupidity just keeps coming.
We’re still waiting for you to provide a link for your claim that 90% of asylum seeker boats have stopped under the new govt…
Too busy arrogantly patronising other commenters, sreb … a long way off sanctimonious tho’ … 😉
It’s hard to be sanctimonious when you’re unemployable TB. 😉
Reb
There is no doubt that the number of arrivals have declined substantially since the change of government
2012–13 under labor 403 boats with 423 crew carrying 25 173 persons
http://www.aph.gov.au/about_parliament/parliamentary_departments/parliamentary_library/pubs/bn/2012-2013/boatarrivals
since the change of government 18 Sept to 9am AEDT, 22 Nov 14 boats 742 people
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-10-25/log-of-boat-arrivals-and-other-asylum-seeker-incidents/5014496
No Inane Hall, I expect The Abbott to tell the truth and to tell the Australian Voters of what he intends to do, not hide behind the skirt of Credin.
He stated he want to be an adult govt and be an open govt, what have we seen so far, an inept govt not doing anything except apologies for when they were in opposition and offending our nearest neighbour when in govt.
One term Tony might be just true.
Inane – you said 90%
I say that’s bullshit.
Show us where the figure is 90%. Or do you simply make shit up as many suspect?
Hall is bullshit, as bad as a stain down the back of your undies, skid marks.
How should we recognise his many talents?
– Unemployable
– Unemployed
– Welfare bludger
– Racist
– Homophobe
– Liar
– Bullshit artist
Oh how we laughed and laughed and laughed….. 😆 😆 😆
I think the actual figure is 78%, but I’ll be blowed if I’ll chase after it.
I have a very thick skin Reb so you just keep playing the man rather than the ball and we can count that as an admission that my points in this debate have no valid counter argument.
Is that an independently varied figure egg?
No Inane, we’re just waiting for you to support your claim that 90% of boats have been stopped.
Have you got evidence for that claim, or is it just bullshit?
It’s a simple question with a simple answer, so answer it.
I doesn’t matter what Inane say’s, the abbott said he would stop the boats from the first day of Govt, he hasn’t, so he lied.
He also said of the unity in gonski, seems like they are backing out of that as well.
The abbott posted on youtube last night that he wants the senate to pass the carbon tax legislation or else.
Or else he will wet his pants and go running to Credin, I want my no carbon tax to pass. Poor Abbott.
Thank you for that figure Egg 😀 so I was a tiny bit out Reb what of it ?
78% improvement since a change of government beats an ever increasing Tally under Rudd and Gillard by a very big margin
BTW I’m waiting for you to tell us how many boat arrivals you would welcome,
So egg is your “source” now Inane…. 😆
Care to actually validate your 90% claim with a credible source….?
Otherwise you just look like a total fuckwit.
And like that would be the first time…. 🙄
What Hall backing up his claim or him being a fuckwit, 😆 😆 😆 I would say both.
… and we can count that as an admission that my points in this debate have no valid counter argument.
Inane, there is a long tradition here of challenging BS (on both sides of politics) … over the years we’ve seen a steady trickle of extreme tories and lefties and their BS come and go … the core of TGT actually leans left, right and crosses over quite a lot … we are seekers of knowledge not BS … we are also sarcastic, ironic, have a sense of humour even – where is – Wally? We don’t tolerate fools or extremists (from either left, right or centre) …
Those of us who originally came together to get rid of Howard, will bag the shite out of any pollie who fucks up, whatever their politics … all you have to do is live with it … the Blogmeister is a very tolerant, Jummy! A very rare breed indeed …
Here at TGT you MAKE a point STICK you don’t CLAIM by DEFAULT … that’s Centrelink think …
90%? And proof and if true that Abbott actually had a hand in it?
Go Clivey!
‘Is that an independently varied figure egg?’
Probably not and I cannot vouch for its authenticity, but it seems a reasonable figure.
Paul
He has never said he would stop the boats instantly as you are trying to claim here, frankly cutting them by nearly eighty percent since coming to office sounds damn good to me.
Yes he did but when Rudd forgot to actually get agreements signed
You really do need to do more than just read the Fairfax headlines if you don’t want to look like a total prat paul.
Probably not and I cannot vouch for its authenticity, but it seems a reasonable figure.
GUFFAW!
Confirmation Hall, or is this out of your ass as well, and you quoting the Australian is like the abbott telling the truth.
Get better resources other than the Australian or News LTD, the LNP Bible they are.
Prissy pyne, you have to be joking. That your source. 😆 😆 😆
I do not know who to laugh at, you or the idiot pyne. 😆 😆 😆
TB
The problem for you Howard haters is that the replacement Labor government over the last six years have been utterly woeful, from their utter panic about the GFC to Rudd’s high handed and stupid dismantling of the Pacific solution which his apologists insisted would not lead to a flood of boats, To the Climate change panic, Rudd’s total lack of ticker to go to the DD for which he had the trigger. On top of that there has been the despicable plot and counter plot to hold the leadership of the ALP. Frankly I think that if the last six years of labor prove anything its that you should be careful just what you wish for because you Howard haters got the change of government you wanted an it was pretty bad by any measure.
That said I know that Tony Abbott is not perfect, and I know that he may make mistakes while he has the big chair but all he has to do is go slow and steady and he will easily out shine anything that Labor did in the last six years.
While you make some claims of a certain level of impartiality I see very little evidence of it in your commentary or your debating style.
“the Blogmeister is a very tolerant”
Are you sure TB? I don’t think he tolerates complete f**kwits particularly well.
25 173 under labor Vs 742 under Abbott , Hmm you do the math yourself Paul
Lazy again I see Inane. 😆 😆 😆
Your the one putting up the figures, you do it.
I know I’m a fuckwit, but Inane, what is he. A stupid racist homophobic fuckwit.
A month ago boat arrivals had been reduced by 40%, but tones can’t take the credit.
‘Mr Marles told Fairfax Media that former prime minister Kevin Rudd’s decision in July to send asylum seekers to Papua New Guinea and pledge not resettle any boat arrivals in Australia had been a ”game changer”.
‘Mr Marles added that in the month after the policy was announced, there was a 40 per cent reduction in arrivals.’

Inane “90%” Hall..
Guffaw… 😆
…and the trend under labor was entirely the other way for all of the last six years that gentlemen is the definitive last laugh at all of you poor deluded minions of the left.
Still waiting on that 90% link Hall…..
Still waiting on the 80% and those other figures as well inane 😆 😆 ass wipe Inane The Man who knows all. ROFLMFAO
The reality is that you don’t have ANY EVIDENCE to back up your nonsense claims do you Inain Hall.
You’re just a bullshit artist and a wannabe conservative ’cause you think that gives you some kind of credibility amongst other conservatives.
But the reality is you’re just a sad sack of an individual surviving on govt welfare with no other redeeming qualities whatsoever.
You’re nothing.
I think I previously referred to you as an “angry raisin”.
In all honesty I think that needs downgrading….
Skid mark on undies I think is a better description of Inane hall, the shit end of everything.
“erm, I’m not a pollie, Kneel … I have no control over anything ”
I still stand by my statement that anybody who voted for Rudd in 2007 has destroyed the lives of thousands of people.
Remember the Sudanese refugees that were in the news when Howard was in power?? As if they could make the trip to Indonesia and then pay $10,000 to a people smuggler.
What Morrison who you call Morriscum is trying to do is to get our system back to where it was in 2007. That is we take our asylum seekers from UNHCR camps rather than having our humanitarian places being sold to the highest bidder which was the system under Rudd/Gillard.
The only scum are the people who voted Labor and have destroyed the lives of thousands of people stuck in UNHCR camps.
90% Inane…..??
80% inane, cannot back them up can you Inane, your worse that the Abbott, incompetent.
Futile attempts at Prose… 🙄
Oh fuck ROTFL …Hilarious from a talent devoid, dole bludging teabagger who has never had a sausage published in his life other than texta scrawls on a cubicle wall.
Because you just ooze superiority Inane, right? Whilst I’m busy doing gigs, getting paid to write, teach, make films, work with famous rock stars, actors, poets, authors, academics, artists and fuck gorgeous intelligent women half my age … by all means pay out on me all you want.
State you grandeur in literary circles to leagues of adoring fans hanging from your every syllable as you ponce about in that little penis extension dressed in Ivan Milat’s cast offs spouting a hobo beard. Then retire to that lonely little tin shed pretending to be an ” independent automotive professional” tossing off to picture’s of Chrissy or Tony in his speedo’s
Whilst your at it, grab a big full length mirror and gaze upon the epitome of “the ugly Australian” in reflective self commiseration. Contemplate the unrequited legacy of incredibly dull life of no consequence . A mute testament to a sad, insignificant existence bound by hatred and shackled by the arrogant un-substantiated ignorance that can only be bleated with authority by a lazy, unoriginal man living through the glory of others berefted of his own original thought. Inane, the cut and paste plagiarist of putrid propaganda propagated by parrots of the ideologically and morally bankrupt. 🙂
My heart? I assume this is another lame attempt at your vindictive vitriol wrapped in a feeble attempt at humour. Well done, I think you managed to confirm the fact that not only you’re a prick, but heartless, common, stupid and inappropriate all in the one sentence; nice work.
My heart is fine thanks for asking. I actually have ticker unlike you, who’s feeble attempts to denigrate others of superior fortitude to make yourself feel remotely adequate demonstrates a profound weakness of character coupled with an inadequate manhood (hence the car I guess). Too much time fantasising over delusions of Andrew Bolt morality I suspect.
I’m sorry i’m better looking, more talented, of greater intelligence, well travelled, better connected and have lived a life 1000 fold more interesting than you Inane. Just deal with it, I didn’t make you ugly, stupid and ignorant you arrived at that toilet all by yourself.
Seriously Paul debating with Noddy is about as compelling as lighting your own farts. And Reb, are you seriously asking Inane to substantiate his propaganda? Mate you should know better than to piss into an idiot wind.
Ricky Pann is quite fond of himself, evidently. (Whether that sentiment is justified is anybody’s guess.)
Its all about backing it up..something the IPA never does. My clients pay, my publisher publishes my shit is real.. I don’t sit in a shed like a tool pretending to be something I am not. I don’t have to justify anything my work and clients speak for me. I don’t suffer fools or complete bullshit artists. I cant help it if inane is jealous I live a full life and he is a bitter loser on welfare.
Ricky Pann
Mate I am having an endless succession of belly laughs about how hard you try to attack me and especially for the way that you think that my life is “less” than your own. Its also a lovely contradiction that bleeding heart socialist like yourself is so keen to attribute virtue to money making.
The thing that puts all of this immodest boasting about what a wonderful life you lead into perspective is how hard you try to claim to be great, how much reflected glory you seek. Oh and by the way no matter how gorgeous the women you are fucking may be I think its very clear that you are a very lonely man with a desperate need for validation who spends most of his nights time sleeping alone.
My place is modest, but something better than a tin shed, I fact I own two houses outright.I bet that you are still paying rent on some overpriced apartment.
I am very modest in both my ambitions and my self opinion and more to the point I am not a hater the way that you so clearly are. You totally run on hate anger and frustration where as I am totally at peace with the way the world is and I only write in places like this and interact with people like you as an act of charity.
Like so many of the mean spirited and stupid you maintain this bizarre double standard that allows you to wish others misfortune but to be mortally offended when they rebut your bile with a little biting sarcasm.
My car is the total antithesis of a “manhood extension” as you would appreciate if you knew the first thing about the original design it is based upon That said I just love the way that you are so stuck in the teenage boy conception of what it means to be a man, which is probably why you have to constantly get those “intelligent and beautiful” women drunk enough to sleep with you.
So who has tickets on themselves then? I don’t even in my darkest pre-dawn hours ever dream of a life yours Ricky boy because it would clearly require me to be a truly nasty person.
Yet you never let an opportunity to attack me personally pass you by do you Ricky?
There is simply nothing at all about your life that I envy, not a single thing.
me thinks that the boy doth protest too much
popcorn!
I make pretty good popcorn as it happens Reb, the secret is to add the salt to the oil in the pot and not to burn it through inattention. 😉
A great snack for about 10 cents a serve
Where did u get that 80% figure from Inane, out off your ass, still waiting???
I think the 90% figure comes from this comment
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/policy/people-smugglers-trying-things-on-ahead-of-monsoon-season-immigration-minister-scott-morrison-says/story-fn9hm1gu-1226766047950
“He said last November there were 2630 asylum-seekers on 43 boats and so far this month there had been four boats carrying fewer than 200 people.”
However November has not ended.
Thanks Neil, I had not just plucked the figure out of the air but I admit that I could not recall precisely where I heard it from.
Problem is, that article does not give a % of what it has decreased to, so that article blows your 80% and even the 90%, so where did you get those figures from Inane, and why the two, You just did pull them out of your ass.
“However November has not ended.”
LOL
So after all the insults and popcorn flying above there needs to be an estimated 60 or so new arrivals in the next 4 days for the 90% figure to be wrong
“Problem is, that article does not give a % of what it has decreased to”
?????
200/2630*100 = 7.6%
The problem is he gave to figures, Inane, one 90% and another 80%, why the two figures, just to cover his ass, no Inane does not know and he will never know.
Yes that’s very logical.
If 60 odd people dont arrive then that means the figure is 92.4%
Clearly he’s completely wrong to claim only 80 or 90%…………………….LOL
I’m busy doing gigs, getting paid to write, teach, make films, work with famous rock stars, actors, poets, authors, academics, artists and fuck gorgeous intelligent women half my age …”
You don’t need an assistant by any chance do you?
“You don’t need an assistant by any chance do you?”
I think he has one.
Afterall someone must be babysitting all those Labradors while he fucks their owners.
Walrus
you are close but your word order needs just a little work, try transposing “Labradors” and “owners” in your sentence…..
😉
So, more from this incompetent Govt.

One term tony coming up, Saying that they were in unity with the ALP on education before the election, now changing it after, who would have guessed, And the Liberals called the APL liars, hypocrites.
Pau,l what you fail to appreciate is that the whole Gonski thing was a typical Labor creation hastily conceived , badly planned and not even properly executed after the agreements had been made between the feds and the states before the caretaker convention came into force when Rudd called the election.
The sad truth is that for all of the money that has been spent on education over the years we have not seen a commensurate increase in academic performance. This is not at all helped by the socialist belief that everyone could have a PHD if only there was enough education funding . Its utter bollocks there are many people for whom just reading and writing will always be a struggle let alone anything more difficult and no amount of teaching or buckets of money thrown at them will make a speck of difference. I’m not saying that we should just stop trying but the law of ever diminishing returns comes into play in education funding when you have a reasonably mature education system like ow own.
In any event you have no school aged children so what would you know or care about education?
Did you read the articles Inane, I think not, where does it say this reform was hastily put together, that is just you saying that, Pyne and the Abbott have broken a policy they said they were going to back, unity in partnership, now they have gone back on the promise.
inane, you still have not answered the questions from above.
Yes Inane, we know your education, theatre sports.
“Its utter bollocks there are many people for whom just reading and writing will always be a struggle.”
Indeed. You’re a perfect example. Lol!
“In any event you have no school aged children so what would you know or care about education?”
Good point. Only people with children are qualified to concern themselves about the future of the nation.
Yeah, just because I have a degree in IT, business, teaching degree, I could go on about my qualifications, but whats the use, Inane does not care about them, so I know nothing about education.
🙄 🙄
I feel so sorry for Inane, trying to defend a dud government.
🙄 🙄
Considering the LNP went to the election backing the ALP plan, now they have to come up with a policy to take to the Australian voters.
Talk about being incompetent and hastily conceived.
Paul
Frankly I don’t believe that you have a high-school diploma let alone tertiary degrees in IT and Business!
If you are so well qualified why they are you on a carer’s pension and wasting away the most productive years of your life?
inane has two kids, we can see how much he knows about education, cannot even read news articles that poodle pyne now has to come up with an education policy.
” Christopher Pyne’s funding model ‘quick and dirty’: ”

Who says I’m not working, I am actually at work now. I do more than you.
Reb
those of us with children at the very least have some experience of just what is being done in our schools and what our children are learning. You childless latte sippers have less than no idea about what is happening at the chalkface. All you pay attention to is the dollar signs
“Only people with children are qualified to concern themselves about the future of the nation.”
Only people who own a boat are qualified to comment on unscheduled arrivals from Indonesia……………..LOL
Paul
you have said several times yourself on different forums (including the Cafe if I remember correctly) that you are on a carer’s pension which makes your attacks on me for my domestic arrangements rather hypocritical to say the least, so don’t now pretend that you are some high flying IT/business Geek. I suspect that you are caring for an aging parent or something of that ilk otherwise you would not qualify for the the benefit. Don’t get me wrong I know that such a role in life can be tough especially if the person you care for is a handful but please don’t pretend that its any sort of career.
Walrus
I would not make such a suggestion even though I do believe that when you are involved with the immediate task of educating your children it does give you something of a head start on those for whom its a far more abstract issue.
Only people who are people like me are allowed to have opinions.
Get the Popcorn…………………as it’s “Welfare Wars”
Fuck this joint has become unhinged since I paused my commenting for a while LOL
Only people who have worn the uniform like me are allowed to have opinions on defence matters.
LOL…………………guess who ?????????????????
Anybody got any opinion about the current thin capitalsation tax laws and their effect on foreign investment and debt raising ?
Or am I the only qualified tax person around here ?
But he said the model negotiated with the former government could not be delivered.
“The Shorten shambles is so incomprehensible, so over-regulated, so prescriptive, so much command and control from Canberra … that they have come up with a model that is essentially incapable of being implemented,” he said.
Mr Pyne said a needs-based funding model was a very good principle, but precious funds were going on regulation and prescription rather than at the schoolyard level.
He declined an offer from Gonski panel member Kathryn Greiner to meet to discuss the previously agreed system.
“No, I’ve studied the Gonski model closely and I have to get on with the job of being education minister,” Mr Pyne told ABC radio.
“It’s time for the government to be allowed to get on with the job, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.”

(Childless professional educators are an abstraction too far, and the entire tertiary education sector, and its workaday corollary? Good to know.)
Government of ‘no surprises’ rewrites history…
Two months after being sworn in, the Abbott government is now at war with conservative states, the Senate and parents across the country.
Not only is the politics of education calamitous, the government risks a High Court challenge to any attempt to walk away from education funding agreements with the states, being blocked in the Senate, and has even raised questions of sovereign risk.
On the political level, Christopher Pyne’s announcement on Tuesday that the government would dump the Gonski education funding model after 2014 is likely to leave voters feeling even more badly done by than they ever did about Julia Gillard and the carbon tax.

“……………the government would dump the Gonski education funding model after 2014 is likely to leave voters feeling even more badly done by than they ever did about Julia Gillard and the carbon tax.”
That’s a ridiculous comparison.
Very few people even knew what Gonski was
Other than spending more borrowed money
I’ll take questions on notice for weather related matters.
Gillard & Abbott (aparently) aren’t homosexual, so they’re not entitled to form views about the issue. Nor is Ian for that matter.
I was once a sports writer and now I have ambitions to become the science reporter at Trash.
You childless latte sippers have less than no idea about what is happening at the chalkface. All you pay attention to is the dollar signs
I’ve got two kids, I hate fkn latte, interact both with my grandchildren’s (I have five two now in their 20s) primary and secondary school and a local school principal is a friend of mine – lives a 60 second walk across the road … do I qualify? 😛
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Only people who can count to ten on thier fingers can comment on financial matters … guess who ???????????????????????????
Inane is bringing the house down at the moment!
“Other than spending more borrowed money”
If children aren’t learning properly then the answer is obvious to anyone sucking on the taxpayer teat: there’s not enough money sloshing through the education system. State governments love receiving federal money for something that is essentially a state responsibilty, and the federal government loves expanding its
powerarea of influence. Tens of thousands of bureaucrats’ jobs depend on it.Does anyone else find it unusual that Asian countries have class sizes upto double ours and yet produce better academic results ?
Could that mean some of our good old union member teachers are just pretty fucked at ……………….er………………..actually teaching ?
Lol @ ToM…
Well said!
So Inane, what you are saying then, that childless educators should not be teaching because they have no children.
Inane, just because you have children does not make you a good parent. For all we know you could be a child molester, or worse.
I see inane is still quoting from the LNP bible, news LTD.
How long was Prissy Pyne the oppositions spokesperson for education, and it is only now that he is creating a policy.
“For all we know you could be a child molester, or worse.”
Indeed…
In fact, no doubt it’ll be us taxpayers (including us gays) who have to pick up the tab for Inane’s kids’ psychotherapy…
You can tell when Inane is loosing the arguments, he brings in peoples private lives to the argument, or what he thinks he knows, which is 99.99 % wrong anyway.
He believes everything he reads on the net as truth.
He believes everything he reads on the net as truth.
Well then, I do hope he believes this – DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE NET!
Oh Paul
are you really going to pretend that you never said that you are on a career’s pension? Mate you are a classic!
Do I really have to trawl through the Cafe Whispers comments to find where you said it? If I recall correctly you made the admission in the context of a planned rise in the pension.
“Voters have turned against the Abbott government in droves with a new Nielsen poll out today showing that Labor has surged to an election winning position of 52 per cent against 48 per cent for the Coalition on a two-party preferred basis.”
UPDATE:
Newspoll: Coalition 52 to 48 ahead

UP-UPDATE:
Essential Media: Coalition 53, Labor 47
http://essentialvision.com.au/essential-research
This thread and the celebrations that it implicitly contains about the “end of Abbott” become rather laughable in the light of those results IPA. Talk about premature cork popping!
‘ ‘ ‘ ‘ ‘Does anyone else find it unusual that Asian countries have class sizes upto double ours and yet produce better academic results’ ‘ ‘ ‘ ‘
This mainly has to do with `environment` and `culture` which are the driving force of `moral`, you may recall, l have said before education can`t solve everything/not the total answer.
My god Inane, trolling through people blog sites, now you know why you are called a troll and a stalker
I don’t deny anything Inane, people can work while they are on pensions you know.
“Essential Media: Coalition 53, Labor 47”
The amazing thing about those numbers is that the worst government in Australian history, now in Opposition, still gets 47% of the vote.
It seems that 47% is about as low as Labor can go no matter how bad they are or what damage they do to Australia.
7.30
You bring up a most important point about education in your comment and that is the importance of both social and parental expectations upon educational results. Our own education culture is all about whishy washy personal development hogwash but many Asian cultures are all about hard work and focus on results, its no surprise taht the latter gets more success than the former.
Paul
Just admit you said that you are on a career’s pension and I won’t have to prove your implicit denials here are a deliberate lie.
This thread and the celebrations that it implicitly contains about the “end of Abbott”
Where the fuck did that come from?
Noddy Newman would lose his seat in a election right now … oddly enough ALP 52 … LNP 48 … fuck with people too obviously and history will gazump you … even JBP is on Wiki!
Bunch of Born to Rule Fuckwits ™
Inane, you said the Fairfax poll was a rogue poll, why are these not rogue polls then, is it because the coalition is in front.
Your are a true hyprocite 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Do you actually read Inane, I think not.
and spell it correctly, Carer’s not career’s,
“and spell it correctly, Carer’s not career’s,”
We need to forgive Inane….
He hasn’t had a sufficient standard of education and would like to see his own offspring experience the same.
The tide turns … strangely I couldn’t find this story on any News Ltd outlets … either too fkn slow, incompetent or hiding the truth … Rupert Murdoch, your ugly rich but you are simply an old Fuckwit™, man … this weeks Soylent is Green … 😛
http://au.news.yahoo.com/video/watch/20029647/poll-shock-in-ashgrove-seat/
Paul
Do you really want to go there?
To get picky about typos and spelling?
Are you really that clean of lexicographic sin that you can cast stones?
I think not.
The `culture` aspect l was talking about is that education has merely become another `corporate-culture`/industry demanding to make profit by charging `as-much-as-the-market-will-bear`, this is why l have said education too has become a bit of a ponzi scheme. When there is no jobs to `have` after said `tertiary` qualification, but students/parents have been fee-gouged, it is demoralizing. We now have family`s, both parents working low-paid shit jobs on struggle-street, even tho they both have tertiary education, having the financial stress of sending kids down the same path. There is a lot of bullshit around the `public-education-reporting`.
Inane, I couldn’t care less what you do, you’ll be the only one to believe it, and it just shows how incompetent you are, you and The Abbott make a great! pear
PAUL
Oh how amusing you are as you try desperately to reconcile the two contradictory stories you have been telling. That sort of issue trips up liars every time.
Yes paul PEARS are a lovely fruit…
and you pick on my spelling!
what are you on Inane, I know a Doctor you can go to, he deals with people like you, the Abbott
You know all about lying, you and the Abbott make a great pear
Inane, if you start posting personal information about people, I am sure the blog master will take offense to it, incompetent as usual, just like the LNP
I think it’s fair to say several here don’t really go for the disclosure of people’s personal details, but it’s a tricky area.
But for the record, I’m the Managing Director of several “dancing studios” run by my “partners”, Lulu & Fifi, who provide hands on instruction on a range of dancing manoeuvres.

inane does not no sarcasm when he see’s itt.
Tom, mite take u up on that offer, be in syd for a conference next week.
Do a Craig Thompson

Tom
I can’t really be bothered to look for pauls admissions if the truth be told, that said there is nothing private about Paul being on a carer’s pension because he himself has made it public.
As for your business enterprise I suggest that you pass the details on to Ricky who seems to be in desperate need of a happy ending
Paul
Your claims that your misspelling was at attempt at sarcasm might work better if you were not such a repeat offender
Do it Inane, I have nothing to hide, you pathetic little stalker.
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Paul you are simply not worth the effort
Have a nice day 😉
Oh Inane I am disappointed, your just like the LNP Incompetent.
By the way what happened to that Channel 7 reporter. you thought was a certain person. B G
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
