Why is Bill Shorten so excruciatingly useless?
He’s not just dull, he’s a crashing bore and completely ineffectual as Federal Opposition Leader.
To uncover the troof, the Gutter Trash Research Institute commissioned this special report.
A mere four months have passed since the Coalition won government and since then the Abbott government has left a trail of unmitigated disasters.
In a matter of weeks, Prime Minister Abbott and Minister for Schwarzkopf Julia Bishop managed to completely destroy the relationship Australia had, until that point, enjoyed with our important trading partner Indonesia. A relationship which pundits are now saying could take 14 years to resurrect.
We’ve witnessed the heinous reality of “Operation Sovereign Borders” – a euphemistic smokescreen patriotic bile that has failed to stem the flow of boat people now also faltering thanks to Indonesia’s decision to no longer cooperate with the program.
Today, reports are emerging that the Abbott government plans to abandon the UNHCR asylum seeker conventions and obligations altogether.
In a week where the Abbott government capitulated on its outrageous plans to abandon the extensive Gonski Education Reforms all Bill Shorten could do was mutter something about parents and teachers being “disappointed” and something about a unity ticket.
The Abbott government now intends to wind back gambling reforms, a move that aims to please its largest donators.
But where’s the outrage from the Opposition?
I’ll tell you where it is.
Fucking nowhere.
Heck, even the Greens are doing a better job.

Shorten should be going for the jugular on these issues but he’s hardly anywhere to be seen..
And his crack about ‘carbon pollution’, at this late stage of the game, makes him look like a dill.
Bill Shorten is in the ALP (Australian Losers Party) and he knows that he will never be PM, which is itself a depressing prospect. He even looks like someone who si clinically depressed. But apart from the faux pas about education funding all of the issues that are cited here are residues from Labor’s term in office:
The allegations about spying on Indonesia refer to things done under Rudd, the problem with asylum seekers was created by Rudd trying to fix that which was not broken by scrapping the “pacific solution”.
We really should be entirely unsurprised that Shorten is utterly ineffective as an opposition leader, he has no great spark or charisma and he is certainly not the choice of the rank and file of the party. Nor does he have the sort of street smarts or cunning to be effective in the role. The latest stunt of getting up close and personal with the Greens to disallow TPVs is a classic example of political stupidity. The government have already found a workaround to stop any of those waiting for a determination not to be granted a PPV ( http://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-act/immigration-minister-scott-morrison-freezes-visas-for-refugees/story-fnii5s3x-1226774624590 ) that makes those boat people in the community materially worse off and on top of that it just keeps reminding the voters that Labor are just slaves to the Green open borders agenda.
If Bill does go for the jugular, the Murdoch press will spin it to say the abbot govt is doing the right thing, the ABC and fairfax need to start reporting more of abbots competencies, they are trying, just look at today, Cory Bernardi about the ABC

Besides the Gonski fuck up by Pyne (now corrected) there have been no “disasters” as such. The Boats are a trickle,………. so I fail to see how a trickle is somehow a disaster and the Indo problem has was caused by the ALP and then released by the Leftist Guardian. How is that “disaster” caused by the LNP.
Abbott has handled it calmly and professionally and for now things have gone quiet.
The Boats are still at a trickle we still export to Indo so business largely as usual.

As it happens my conversion to voting for the LNP is fairly recent and I was before that a life long Labor voter. My late father was secretary of his local branch of the party in my youth and I grew up steeped in the “virtues” of the ALP. Typically you think that anyone who is critical of the ALP must by definition be either a blind follower of the Murdoch press and or totally ignorant of the machinations of the party, I am neither.
Like a lot of extremists you project your own ignorance upon your interlocutors because you are utterly incapable of accepting that a person of virtue could possibly have a different political persuasion to yourself.
