Tony Abbott declares “Mission Accomplished” on Asylum Seekers
To commemorate its 100 days in Government, the Coalition has produced a pamphlet.
The pamphlet is a self-congratulatory report card on the Abbott government’s performance to date, stating that “The Government is delivering on its promises for the first 100 days in office and it will continue to do what it said it would do.”
Interestingly, the pamphlet declares that the Abbott government has delivered on its lofty promise to “stop the boats” with the status for this commitment recorded as “complete.”
This, despite the fact that boat arrivals are trending upwards in recent weeks.
Under the heading “Fix the budget,” which can be interpreted any number of ways, the government said that it will “get the Budget under control and back into the black.” This, as Joe Hockey sought to increase government debt by $200 billion.
As part of this so-called “commitment,” the Coalition promised to:
1. remove the unnecessary duplication between the activities of the Commonwealth and other levels of government, and;
2. improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness with which government services and policy advice are delivered.
A main goal of Fixing The Budget is to “ensure taxpayers’ money is spent wisely and in an efficient manner.”
The status for this goal is listed as “complete.”

But they Have a 54% mandate to Carry out the manifest of the IPA Reb what are you complaining about? They told everybody about their promises and disclosed everything before the election 🙄 This is the government of no surprises whatsoever to me, they were a bunch of incompetent imbeciles funded by Murdocharey before and after the election…what did you expect they would get better with age?….. Australia, you’re soaking in it

No wonder there is such a chorus calling for policies that will result in more drownings – there is a whole industry leeching off the misery of asylum-seekers who will be out of a job when this gruesome trade is halted.
No doubt the whole things been printed on high-gloss paper, so it’s not even good for using to wipe your arse! 🙂

‘ ‘ ‘ ‘The pamphlet is a self-congratulatory report card on the Abbott government’s performance’ ‘ ‘ ‘ which has produced the usual rabid foaming from Limited-News, as ”-`the-pamphlet` competes directly with Teh-Oz, Teh-Terror and Teh-Hun” said Miranda Akerboltbrectsen, spokesperson for the Limited-News Empire.
In that Fairfax poll it seems that almost three-quarters think Abbott first 100 days have been very poor, with only 5% thinking he’s been good.
Hardly representative, but it illustrates how the SMH has adopted the socialist mantle to attract a particular demographic.
Hardly representative, but it illustrates how the SMH has adopted the socialist mantle to attract a particular demographic.
What if it had been a good poll … one hit wonders … you think they will improve with age? (most are getting on a bit come to think of it – have been regurgitated from Howard’s Private School Bullies) … apart from that Queensland schoolkid … 🙄
Tony & The Troglodytes are just not rockin’ with the fans …
Has a government ever brought out their own “100 day in office” pamphlet before?
I can’t recall one … is this to “help” our overworked “journalists” to see (and write about) the “true” story …?
And who fkn paid for it?
“And who fkn paid for it?”
Oh, you already know the answer to that one TB… 😉
‘ ‘ ‘ ‘but it illustrates how the SMH has adopted the socialist mantle to attract a particular demographic.’ ‘ ‘ ‘
lt`s quite a problem for the public when Fairfox adopt the identical `socialist`mantle` that Limited-News continually use. The public won`t be able to tell`em apart.
News Limited have decided not to bother reporting on politics at all.
Scrapping the Climate Commission was excellent, along with CSIRO cuts. He promised to dismantle the Klimatariat.
“lt`s quite a problem for the public when Fairfox adopt the identical `socialist`mantle` that
Limited-Newsthe ABC continually use.”If you want a clue as to how dumb Fairfax is check out their idea of marketing: “It’s like being able to advertise on the ABC.”
Still, I suppose the target demographic of smug leftist wankers is quite wealthy.
Won`t work splatter, the key bit is,
‘ ‘ ‘ ‘It is well known that the ABC audience doesn’t like ads, and is unlikely to come over to Fairfax stations in enough numbers’ ‘ ‘ ‘
the same reason Rooperts abc stuff is bullshit, audience won`t move to Roopert even if the wet-dream of shutting my abc came true. l`ve actually pointed this out here previously.
A major problem for Australia (and Mr Abbott) is to kick start our “manufacturing sector”.
I think (post Holden) this is only just dawning on our Govt.
They can have Christmas off to think about it.
But if they can’t think of an effective solution, then this cartoon may help . . . .

Socialist mantle.. FFS Anyone that disagrees with me is a commie 🙄
“If Labor doesn’t see the light in the next few months there is a new Senate coming in July and I am confident they will accept the government’s mandate and if not there are constitutional options open to us,” the prime minister said in an interview with the ABC to mark the government’s first 100 days in office.’
Taylor / Guardian
Tim Blair ran a poll on the ABC, over 20,000 put their hands up and 96.9 per cent preferred these options:
‘Slash funding; privatise it; mass fraud trials for ABC management and staff; compulsory salary repayments from all ABC staff; sell all ABC properties, equipment and presenters on eBay; Bataan-style ABC march from Melbourne to Darwin; relocate ABC headquarters in Pyongyang; and nationalise private assets of ABC staff.’
“Scrapped the Climate Commission”
Oh the poor dears. You have no idea how upset i am.
Flannery has lost his $180K/year job fleecing the taxpayers.
Those are funny poll-reply`s he got, Dumpty.
But you do realize that `close-abc` is a bit of a prank Limited-News uses to agitate their easily impressed audience. Let`s face it, do you really think Ackerman, Divine, Albrechtsen, bolt-previously, and the rest, want to give up their fat `appearance-fee` cheques from, insiders $800-per-gig, qandaland, and drum, and any of the other `combative` gigs on offer.?
Blair was having a bit of fun.
Yep the Climate Commission has gone free enterprise and hopefully the renewable industry will soon join them.
Teabag would you like to argue against my glee? I have a desire to vent spleen.
Vent away my dear egg,
vent away. Spleens are what we do around here. 🙂
We could always hook Kneel up to the grid, he a dynamo of useless superfluous energy run on bullshit 🙄
What a disgrace..pathetic
http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/george-brandis-appoints-ipas-tim-wilson-to-human-rights-commission-20131217-2zi5z.html#ixzz2nh3o7Z3x
Wilson is a brilliant appointment!
At least he has some understanding of basic human rights like freedom of speech and personal liberty.
Look at it this way – if you supported Finkelfuckwit’s attack on free speech or Conroy’s fascist laws then you have no understanding of human rights and no place in this discussion.
`Corporate Press-Freedom` and `free-speech` are two totally different topics. #justSayin
Yeah its brilliant and I have no understanding, that talking ass is dribbling again …a talking ass indeed. See unlike you I actually read the Frankenstein and the media reform bills. Wilson’s speech is hardly free genius , he Works for the IPA, ANDEV and that AstroTurfer for the pharmaceutical industry Center for Medicine in the Public Interest. A teaparty hack whore for hire. Free speech…what a crock 🙄 Is that what Morrison is doing? Is that why they are changing anti discrimination laws for Bolt? I love Libertarians..cloaked fascists, lobbyists for hatred.
You’re punching above your weight, Ricky.
The Tim Wilson appointment is doing their pointy little heads in. Just wait until Bolt gets appointed to Mark Scott’s job!
I’d like to reply, Bed Pann, but you are not making any sense at all. Just wailing like a wanking banshee.
Punching above my weight? No I will leave that to the IPA apologists who will slowly infest this government like the boil on the ass of society they are…
Bernadi is already calling for Malcolm in the muddle’s head. Quite frankly the way this cacophony of incompetent overstated imbeciles are going I would not put it past them to install Bolt, and put Bernadi, Jones and Murdoch on the Board.
GM executives were in Beijing a couple of weeks before Holden got the chop.
The situation is of strategic importance to the Chinese leader, millions of people are buying Japanese cars and he wants to stop this trade. Building GM cars in China makes good economic sense and punishes Japan.
To put it bluntly, Australia is irrelevant.
My mates in the car game in QLD and he reckons GM leaving will increase not decrease trade. More choice, cheaper ect… This Iconic brand nonsense is just rhetoric. Harleys are made in India.
Ricky, yer wasting yer keystrokes on some here … free enterprise supporters my arse …
It would seem so TB..but wait there’s more
http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/coalition-appoints-sophie-mirabella-to-board-of-governmentowned-shipbuilding-firm-20131217-2zj2n.html
RP, it never fkn ends …
gawd strewth!
Its just Queensland writ large … WTF would Mirabella know about shipbuilding, or for that matter being a director, or for that matter business ..
Just who is actually running the country?
Does anything EVER improve?
Well TB according to the minister she has “extensive experience in manufacturing” (the truth). I loved at the press conference today our new economic saviour is glooming consumer confidence with absolute bullshit of a crisis. Claiming that Labor were spending like drunken sailors @ 3,6%. When he was reminded that that fire sale hack Costello was spending at 4% and must have been paralytic… This government just gets more stupid by the microsecond.
‘ ‘ ‘ ‘ASC Pty Ltd, formerly the Australian Submarine Corporation, is the government-owned firm responsible for troubled major projects including the Air Warfare Destroyer and Collins Class submarine.’ ‘ ‘ ‘

“I’d like to reply, Bed Pann, but you are not making any sense at all. Just wailing like a wanking banshee.”
Hehehehehehehe…..!
Any decision that upsets Pann must be correct by logical definition
I see a lot of posturing and not much substance, I fear no fiberal dipstick would raise a drop of logic in that dry shallow hole by any definition… Don’t worry Teabag Gold Diggin Sophie will fix it, she good at goin down for a quid just ask her professor’s family 🙄
‘I see a lot of posturing and not much substance’
Back to the post, do you have an opinion on the sacking of the Climate Commission?
No, I thought not. This is the reason Tony sacked the Climate Commission.
‘Tony Abbott has signalled next year’s review of the renewable energy target could wind back, or even scrap, the scheme, saying lower power prices are the government’s primary goal and the rationale for the RET no longer exists.
‘Announcing modest government assistance for Holden, the prime minister also revealed he would chair a new taskforce to find ways to make industry more competitive, with reducing the cost of energy a primary aim.’
Taylor /Guardian
Oh its a graph..it must be true then. 🙄
Look Egg its quite simple.. I’m not getting into some ridiculous blog posturing nonsense. That argument was over 10 years ago, get with the program. If you’re such an expert, I suggest you go and get some funding and play in the grown up pool along with the qualified scientists to enlighten the world to your … graph. Better still make a living like Bolt and that Luney Liar Monkton out of being a completely ignorant obnoxious Cunt, taking an opposing view to further career and build a brand.
I like all the sane people on the planet am an advocate of advancing the world and that includes cleaner more efficient energy and not pumping tons of shit into the atmosphere, groundwater, oceans and soil… Call me crazy but we progressive thinkers have moved forward beyond the banding rocks together, penny farthing bicycles, candles, tin cans with string, castigation and heresy of inconvenient fact. Punishing Scientists for telling you what you don’t want to hear is archaic, regressive and stupidly perilous.
‘Call me crazy but we progressive thinkers have moved forward….’
But … but…. it looks pretty certain that CO2 doesn’t actually cause global warming and is not a pollutant. Does this new information have any impact on your thinking?
At this late stage of the game the warmists and sceptics here (which is everyone) believe that a buildup of human induced CO2 is having an adverse impact on the climate. There is no evidence to support this theory.
Even now as we race towards global cooling I get to laugh a lot, you’ve been sucked in bruvver.
‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the news, there were reports of record cold , so many were confused;
‘Told global warming is why we should care, And that the point of no return would soon be here; The children were bombarded with tales of dread, While visions of climate disasters were stuck in their heads;
‘And mamma in her Prius , and I on my bike, To save the planet, got rid of the cars that we like. When suddenly in the data there arose such a clatter, The earth was not warming, what could be the matter?’
Joe Bastardi / Guest post at WUWT
‘Call me crazy but we progressive thinkers have moved forward….’”
Like panicked lemmings stampeding over a cliff face.
“Call me crazy but we progressive thinkers have moved forward beyond the banding rocks together, penny farthing bicycles, candles, tin cans with string, castigation and heresy of inconvenient fact.”
What, like these progressive thinkers?
‘….and play in the grown up pool along with the qualified scientists to enlighten the world to your … graph.’
It may come as a shock to you, but the reality is that all the scientists involved in climate change now accept the hiatus. Here’s the graph again, temperatures remain flat.
All is not doom and gloom, November has gone down as the ‘warmest in history’, northern Russia has seen temps well above average. Its a cherry pick for your side, a freebie for you to build on.
Is it the missing heat or just an anomaly caused by a wayward jet stream?
Yep just add blinkers and earplugs that is how I would most aptly describe those in denial…get over it boys the Oliver Twist age is over its time to move forward and find better ways to power the world other than the bullshit fed to you by this government. The litany of lies purported by the stupidity of fossils like Whine hard and the string pulling IPA has destroyed your ability to think. Wait till they put a CSG well under your house..its all the rage with this lot.
Oh my dog, the irony stings!
Ricky lad, you’re out of your depth.
Great link IPA.
Egg, facts and data will make no difference to Bed Pann’s views on this issue. He appears to be impervious to logic.
It does appear so.
Good catch IPA.
“He appears to be impervious to logic.”
The Crazy Bolshevik Left can rationalise anything.
Hell…………….Greenpeace has even released an advert featuring Santa at the North Pole telling Kiddies that Christmas has been cancelled due to his warehouse being flooded due to the Ice Melt……………………………WTF !
Can you believe how low the scum on the Left are prepared to go ?
The left have been severely brainwashed and deserve our pity.
he left have been severely brainwashed and deserve our pity.
Probably as much as the Right.
http://scienceblogs.com/deltoid/2011/06/24/correction-andrew-bolt-likely/comment-page-1/
Its a divisive issue and continues to generate a lot of heat.
Scrapping the Climate Commission was a good first step in dismantling the facade and gutting the CSIRO where appropriate is entirely reasonable, considering Julia started the process back in April.
The renewable folly will quickly come to an end when subsidies dry up and the tax on CO2 will go the way of the Dodo in July, otherwise there will be a double D election.
“gutting the CSIRO where appropriate is entirely reasonable”
I am not sure Abbott did any gutting. O.K. i am an Abbott supporter but the media is anti Abbott.
After 3 months and without Parliament sitting i am not sure Abbott has the power to do any gutting.
I suspect the gutting was because of the efficiency dividends enforced by the previous government.
Is this correct or wrong???
Julia began the CSIRO sackings back in April, clearing the decks before the election, so the Coalition will continue the process she began.
http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2013/s3738717.htm
Abbott came to power on a promise to eliminate this huge scam, with the CO2 tax the last cab off the rank. If the new senate fails to come up with the goods, then tones will go to a double D election on the issue.
A risky venture, but he really has no other alternative.
Renewable folly, gutting the CSIRO.. Out of my depth? The tree stooges are alive an well in Gutter Trash. Sorry Larry curly and Moe, I prefer to get my information from people who actually do this for a living in my Alma mater
http://www.ccrc.unsw.edu.au/
It was my university too.
Thanks for that link egg which was dated April 2013
“TONY EASTLEY: Hundreds of staff at the CSIRO are set to lose their jobs as the organisation slashes its budget.”
You know Labor supporters drive me nuts. They are incapable of telling the truth. I would not seem such a one eyed Coalition supporter if they did not tell so many lies. Those CSIRO cuts were announced before the last election and yet they blame Abbott before the new Parliament had even sat.
You should paid more attention, take a walk over to Kenso campas and take a tour, i’ts never too late.
S’pose you did engineering?
You know Labor supporters drive me nuts.
😯
Look in a fkn mirror, Kneel!
Not at UNSW. Did electrical @ UTS & MAS MAP @ UTS… Scholarship to Masters DM @COFA..just finished.
Congrats.
Thanks Egg done with studjin 4 a while, was gonna do a Phd but think I will make stuff for a while, don’t really wanna teach (an honorable profession), seen too many friends get stuck teaching and stop making stuff.
Making stuff is more fun, especially if creative and lucrative. That’s why I’m thinking of making a doco on the biggest scam of the modern age.

Editor at Large with the Daily Terror has a scoop.
‘A STOUSH is brewing between Tony Abbott and Barry O’Farrell over a western Sydney airport, with the state telling Canberra it will not contribute any money to build the critical road and rail links.
‘The Premier’s newly appointed western Sydney lieutenant Stuart Ayres issued the blunt warning to the Prime Minister yesterday.
“My clear message to the federal government is that they are completely and wholly responsible for this decision and if they want an airport in western Sydney, they must build the infrastructure too,” Mr Ayres said.
That fucking Airport will never be built… every government gets in beats on about badgerys crick then does fuck all, meanwhile they sold kingsford Smith and where did the money go from Macquarie millionairs factory? Middle class welfare handouts by the dull lights on the fiberal hill, dumb and dumber.
Yeah, l have to say l really doubt `badgery`s will get-up too, the locals will oppose and riot over trying to do any type of infrastructure out that way. They want to remain `rural`, that`s why they live out there.
.
Ricky, l notice the teabags still think that the planet can be endlessly polluted with any and all chemical cocktails that mankind can dream-up and throw at it.
And there are quite a few far more successful utilizes of communication in our life that come
as additives for staying connected.
