Rostrum: Flight 370 – Where did it Go?

March 14, 2014

Image

I’ve flown Malaysia airlines more times than I care to remember and have always found them to be professional, friendly and efficient.

It comes as a shock therefore,  that in recent days we’ve witnessed the mystery unfolding regarding the disappearance of flight MH370.

We’ve all heard horror stories about budget airlines or dodgy Asian airlines (Garuda anyone?), however MAS is rightly regarded as a premium airline with an enviable safety record.

We can only speculate as to what might’ve happened and sympathise with those who have lost friends and loved ones.

Did MH370 fly on four hours?

US Officials Believe Flight 370 Landed Somewhere

””’Did MH370 fly on four hours?””’

According to sbs1, newshour, france24, no.

The reports of engine and `other` technology `talking` for `hours` after going missing have been denied and debunked by all the manufacturers that supposedly were meant to have received said signals.

It took a couple of years to find that French plane which dropped into the Atlantic …. it was a needle in a haystack. A severe electrical storm and pilot error was accepted, with the recovered black box revealing all.

Ventre flys a kite out on a limb.

‘The Huffington Post interviewed the Pennsylvania head of MUFON on Thursday.

“Between black boxes, transponders, radar, debris fields, explosion and missile strike signatures, evidence is always left behind,” MUFON’s Pennsylvania State Director John Ventre said. “The one explanation that some researchers are considering is that the plane and its passengers were abducted by extraterrestrials.”

‘The Malaysia Airlines jet missing for nearly a week could have been deliberately flown across the Malay peninsula towards the Andaman Islands, it has been claimed.

‘Sources familiar with the investigation have said inquiries are increasingly focusing on a suspicion the flight was deliberately diverted as military radar-tracking evidence reportedly suggests the plane may have been heading towards the islands.

‘Two sources have today told Reuters an unidentified aircraft that investigators believe was Flight MH370 was following a route between navigational waypoints – indicating it was being flown by someone with aviation training – when it was last plotted on military radar off the country’s north west coast.’

The object was flying five times faster than the other planes and there was a suggestion that it might be a stealth bomber, until it hovered in the one spot for some time and then vanished in the blink of an eye.

And who were the 4 passengers who bought tickets but never checked in?

Was it hijacked in the belief those 4 or maybe 1 of interest were aboard, did they get a tip off not to catch that flight.

Slightly off track, there have been rumours circulating for years that Obama is going to Disclose. This is old news.

‘Former Clinton Chief of Staff John Podesta is returning to the White House.
At first glance, Podesta signing on with the White House isn’t terribly suggestive. Having worked as chief of staff to President Clinton from 1998 to 2001 and as head of the Obama administration transition team after 2008, he’s no stranger to the executive branch.

‘That is, until you read this piece from Slate’s Dave Weigel. “Ever since he left the White House,” Weigel writes, Podesta has “wanted public disclosure of what we know about alien life.” Weigel points to a speech at the National Press Club in 2002.

“It’s time to find out what the truth really is, that’s out there,” Podesta says. “We ought to do it, quite frankly, because the American people really can handle the truth.”

,l just don`t believe that say `hijackers` could confiscate `all` passengers `devices` before some passengers could get some `tweets` out.

If they were all unconscious or dead, there would be nothing but silence.

There are lots of conspiracy theories already. I heard at work some ‘news’ that there was 9 billion in gold on board and that the pilot or co-pilot was in on the hijack. I also heard from one person whose F-I-L is a pilot, that they could decompress the cabin and everyone would sink into unconsciousness and have a ‘nice death’ [as walrus said previously].

Some interesting reading [you all probably knew this, but I didn’t]. Did you know that you can fill in below the line in the senate paper and also place one preference above the line as a safeguard in case you stuff up?

    http://blogs.abc.net.au/antonygreen/2013/08/voting-below-the-line-in-the-senate.html

and there is a handy ?app called Cluey Voter that sorts out your senate preferences for you, then allows you to print out your selection which you can then transcribe onto your voting paper.

He sees clearly [except for the aliens], he sees that our financial system of capitalism and the propping up of it by all governments is the one big threat to the world

‘There is clearly a criminal inquiry underway looking for anything that might implicate a passenger or crew member, just as it has already been concluded that whoever altered the path of the jet, and disabled ACARS and the transponder, had to be a passenger or crew member who knew how this airliner is flown, and how those systems are disabled, in great detail.

‘Although the northern corridor extends all the way to Khazakhstan, that is a construct of the satellite ambiguity. If the jet is inside the northern zone it is a stretch to think it will be found at its furthest extent from Malaysia because of the high probability it would have detected and challenged in busy airspace, if it flew that far.’

While l tend to agree with Ford`s statistics Armchair, l am not convinced there is much anybody can do about `some` of it.

While Ford is correct on Qandaland stats, l just don`t see how the teabags can stump up more than one female cabinet minister for the show, they only have one, but l am sure Mr-Poodle will do all he can to give the impression of having double.

While l never listen to radio, especially squawk-back radio, the problem with 2gb is it`s London public toilet lurking part-owner that controls the microphone. Having only one female teabag behind the 2gb microphone is the least of the worlds problems.

  39. March 16, 2014 8:38 pm

    Ford was correct with this,

””””””””””We have a Prime Minister who, as a blatant F You to the feminists who have dogged him for so much of his career, had the audacity to appoint himself as Minister for Women, with a female appointed to assist him in the role. And to add insult to injury, he used the anniversary of International Women’s Day to not only label himself a feminist (sorry Prime Minister, but no) but also to remind Australian women that “if you look at our country and the deal that it gives to women; it is obviously pretty good.”””””””’

    .
    .

But unfortunately Ford shows she doesn`t understand the Qandaland format,

””””””””””’I’d be prepared to accept that my performance just wasn’t good enough for a repeat viewing if it weren’t for the fact that intellectual lightweights like Brendan O’Neill are perpetually invited to share their reactionary conspiracy theories”””””””’

    Tho correct about o`neill, the format is 2x opposing politicians, 2x `opposing` media-talking-heads, 1x-Wild-card, comedian, writer, international-guest,

The `metrics` on the sex of their panel-guests is also the least of their problems in Qandaland, it could be so much more as far as political debate is concerned, but they wallow in the shallows with `talking-heads`, particularly the Limited-News teabag trolls that spout the same old nonsense.

‘CSIRO scientists have developed a way to interfere with the fruit fly’s ribonucleic acid (RNA) to give the insects a sex change, turning healthy females into impotent males. The South Australian government is considering building a factory dedicated to pumping out this new breed of non-breeders.

‘De Souza says his 10-year plan for tackling fruit flies is within reach. A network of smart traps will be laid in fruit-growing areas, which radio back to what he calls “fruit-fly central control” when they capture an offending fly.

‘By the time the five-year study ends, researchers will know exactly how many sterile flies to release into an infected area, and for how long.

“The call will go to the fruit-fly factory, and then you load up these flies into a drone, which then flies into the area and strategically releases the fruit flies.”

‘The scheme has the potential to save farmers millions of dollars by increasing yields that would otherwise be damaged by the pest, and by allowing more agricultural areas to be declared fruit fly-free, giving Australian produce access to new markets.’

Serial dipshit Adam Bandt’s press release:

Greens Deputy Leader and Finance spokesperson, Adam Bandt MP, today said that Tony Abbott should act to end crony capitalism before coming after low-income Australians.

“If Tony Abbott is serious about ending the ‘the age of entitlement’ he should start with the big end of town before hitting every-day people,” said Mr Bandt.

“Not content with being subsidised by Australia’s taxpayers, Gina Rinehart has now reportedly secured a $764 million loan from US taxpayers.

“For someone who has urged Tony Abbott to end the culture of entitlement, the hypocrisy is breathtaking.

“Tony Abbott should focus his efforts on increasing revenue by starting with those who can most readily afford it,” said Mr Bandt.

As best I can make out from this incoherent rant, the fact that Rinehart has been able to borrow money to finance the Roy Hill project amounts to crony capitalism????

Given that the project will generate jobs and tax revenue Rinehart should be applauded. I guess the fact that the borrowed funds are being used to create wealth for the country disgusts Bandt. The Greens do not understand this. They only know how to piss money against the wall.

Here is a clue Adam – all the money the government spends comes from private enterprise just like this. Without profitable businesses your spendthrift socialist dreams will come to naught.

I guess Adam thinks that stopping projects like this is a more direct way of achieving the Green’s principal goal of ruining the economy.

Fancy having to dress yourself or make your own coffee, how crude!

...Two further sections of the law would also be repealed, which include provisions that can make employers liable for race hate speech…

Why is it necessary to repeal that? For some people, just going to work could become a living hell

At the moment its like living in a very bad 1920’s novella!

Dog, forbid, Tony & The Acolytes, consider making a musical out of it … its already cost a fortune to print the book …

Who was it here talking about the Lefties and their class warfare … ?

‘Psychological reports tendered to a magistrate who sentenced Craig Thomson to jail for stealing union money have revealed the depths of the former Labor MP’s depression.

‘The reports, released by the Melbourne Magistrates Court today, were submitted as part of Thomson’s bid to avoid imprisonment after he was convicted of 65 theft and dishonesty offences for using Health Services Union credit cards to pay for prostitutes and personal expenses while serving as national secretary.’

I suppose if you get caught being a habitual lair, fraud and criminal, you might get depressed.

    Lock him up.

Lock him up and demand he see a psychiatrist inside the big house, otherwise Thommo should serve out the full 12 month sentence for being a habitual liar. Let’s not forget he lied to the Australian people through parliament and many millions were taken for a ride, most notably the kaf crowd.

    He’s sick I tells ya.

‘The New Zealand Herald quotes an unnamed pilot and longtime associate of Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, who claimed the pilot was separating from his wife and had been seeing another woman.

‘The source — who spoke to the paper on the condition of anonymity — said the pilot had been “terribly upset” about the breakdown of his relationship and may have taken the plane on a “last joy ride”.

    Lock him up.

And make him pay up! Three months is far too short!

I wonder how many HSU members are feeling depressed about their subs!

‘HSU national secretary Kathy Jackson said she was sad Thomson had to be jailed and was more disappointed the union had failed to detect his offending.’

This suggests she recognises his illness.

Without Sancty (resident legal adviser) here to give us a glimpse of Thomson’s ultimate fate in the Appeal Courts, methinks the beak will send him down for 3 months, or a year if he refuses to see the shrink.

Looks like yet another ALP crook, recent party President Michael Williamson, will be sent to prison this morning!

Expect a lot of “look over there at Sinodinos” from the usual drop-kicks even though he has not been, and is not expected to be, charged with anything. By the time the Unions Royal Commission is over they will have to build an ALP wing on the Big House.

Sinodinos at best does look pretty incompetent or took a “see no evil” approach.

    I mean fucking pole dancers…….WTF

I haven’t seen that sort of largesse since the late 1980s

    Wow those were the days

    “I mean fucking pole dancers…….”

Is that what you do to them? I thought you just stuck money in their garters!

Sounds like something a News Limited editor would sponsor. Maybe Sinodinos can spin it as an example that he is an ordinary bloke the way Rudd did after his visit to Scores. Oh wait, Sinodinis didn’t actually attend – carry on and dish the dirt then.
