Just what the world needs, another tom cruise film. (there is also another `mission-impossible` and `top-gun` coming too, so now the networks will be shoving re-runs of tom cruise films down our throats soon) #yaaaaaay.tom
Well DUH!
Violence, so the saying goes, begets violence. Now evidence is emerging that suggests even the reporting of violence can trigger further attacks. Research has found that sensationalist media coverage of acts of terrorism results in more such acts being committed.

Actually I quite enjoyed the movie. Probably the best in the series so far. And they stole a lot of ideas from recent Bond movies.

Speaking of films … as I commented a couple of weeks ago I’m tutoring my 17 yo with some of his assignments … he’s studying Macbeth at the moment and has to develop and deliver a monologue based on the play … being my grandson he chose to “defend” Macbeth to his thanes … the most difficult of his three “choices” … I think prosecuting would be easier … but he’s actually done a really convincing job …
The point being that I watched the 1971 film Macbeth and thoroughly enjoyed it (English has always been my favourite subject but I was never a fan of Shakespeare).
Another film we watched a couple of nights ago was Spare Parts … a true story … inspiring … funny and well worth the time …
If you haven’t caught up with The Last Ship – TV series yet … then you should (series two is on now)!
Australia’s Glitch is also great … we’ve watched all six episodes on iView … ABC put the whole series up from the first episode – they are all still there …
Just started to watch Falling Skies a sci-fi, now into its fifth series … it too looks pretty good too.
Even I can surf better than these dogs!

The joy of surfing…
The last film I saw
Was on an aeroplane. It was Chappie, directed by Neill Blomkamp. It’s a futuristic dystopian fable set in Johannesburg. I liked it, and was pleasantly surprised to find Die Antwoord not only on the soundtrack but actually in the movie.
Tex Perkins: “I Feel Physically Violated Whenever I See Tony Abbott”
What did you think of Chappie Salute? I heard it was crap, although I did like District 9 and Elysium..

Mmmm, cat food.
