Quick question, which ex pms gave this predator a written character reference?

Do we really think that the people at this level didn’t have access to this info?

Predator ? I think the High Court found against that.

But… if he was the managing director of a company he would have been prosecuted for negligence, whether he knew of the criminality or not.

I think the High Court found that they didn’t think there was enough evidence ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ that he was a fully fledged pedophile himself, not that he wasn’t.

But, someone who enables predators is as liable as them. They have allowed someone, with their knowledge, to rape children.

“After she refused to give officers her details and would not comply with their direction to move on, police arrested the woman; however, she resisted, and a struggle ensued.

“During the struggle, the 36-year-old woman picked up her young son and continued to argue and resist police.

“The child was removed from the woman’s hold and she was taken to Surry Hills Police Station, where her identity was established, and she was issued an infringement notice for fail to comply with noticed direction in relation to COVID-19.

“The child was placed in the care of a relative and the Department of Family and Community Services were notified.”

From what I could see she initially refused to move on but by the time they arrested her she was walking away. They should have let her. No harm done at that stage.

Yes, Dan Andrews is so very concerned about saving lives…but an extra 750-1500 people will suicide due to the government imposed recession- about 10 times as many as will die from coronavirus.

That’s why people have to be able to rebuild their lives sooner rather than later. But Dan prefers later.

Preliminary modelling by the Brain and Mind Centre suggests the COVID-19 crisis could cause up to 750 extra suicides a year, if the unemployment rate was around 11 per cent.

But in a worst case scenario, where unemployment were to peak at about 16 per cent, that could double to an additional 1500 additional deaths a year.

There is no reason healthy people shouldn’t be allowed to go about their lives. That’s all I’ve got to say about it,” she told Daily Mail.

Ms Altakrity said while she was against vaccinations, that was not the main reason she was protesting on Saturday.

A statement issued by NSW police in relation to the woman’s arrest read: “About 2pm yesterday (Saturday 9 May 2020), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended Macquarie Street and monitored a group of people who were conducting an unauthorised protest.

“By 3pm, the group had grown to about 40 people and were not exercising adequate social distancing, so officer soon began speaking with members of the group explaining they were not authorised to protest and were also not complying with current Ministerial Directions under the Public Health Act, with many being issued warnings and move-on directions.

“About 3.50pm, police again spoke with a woman, in company of a child, who told officers she was ‘exercising’.

“After she refused to give officers her details and would not comply with their direction to move on, police arrested the woman; however, she resisted, and a struggle ensued.

“During the struggle, the 36-year-old woman picked up her young son and continued to argue and resist police.

But you and plenty of others choose the boomers path, which is spend now, pay later.

In this case that means you increase spending and don’t bother to be too careful about how you restrain it. And you look for new reasons to spend.

Then you pass the debt on to another generation. The next generation therefore have fewer options, they can’t increase their own pensions and welfare and they don’t have similar ability respond to their own health/economic (or even climate) emergencies

See, when you “unrestrained”, I envision something cooked into expenditure that isn’t paid for and is ongoing, you know, like Franking Credits

Something like getting past an emergency, which has an actual end to it, isn’t ‘unrestrained’.

Many do not have enough saved for their retirement. Beyond a lack of planning, a key reason Baby Boomers lack retirement savings is due to the 2008 financial crisis, as well as the chronic low interest rates since. The stock market losses of the COVID-19 pandemic are adding to the shortfall.

FYI this BB has never had compulsory super (I went into business in ’92) and been debt free since 1984 … and paid higher rates of tax than you ever have!

This was one of the worst government decisions so far in this crisis. At least the decision has now been reversed.

Generally I think that we should cut some slack to the decision makers as everyone is learning as we go. When this is all done and we have time to consider the relevant facts and review the different strategies we should be in a much better position for next time.

However, I don’t understand how passing a regulation that nursing homes could not discriminate against people with the Wu Flu in relation to admissions and re-admissions could strike anyone as a good idea.

The sane thing to do would be to remove all infected residents from nursing homes and not allow any person who is infected or who has had contact with infected people to enter.

The fact is that at all times NY had excess ICU beds in the Javits Centre and aboard the hospital ship. There was no need for such a stupid regulation.

Been reading the debate on here with interest. If I was a government that was being criticised for not opening up the place fast enough I would be making sure that any deaths from corona virus as a result of being pressured to open up faster and those putting the pressure on, that the relatives of those that succumed to the virus once the opening up started would receive assistance to sue the arse off the agitators for opening up the economy. Afterall FOX removed some of Donald Trumps ardent supporters from their programming schedules, for fear of being sued as a result of their lies and conspiracy cures.

Clearly, Australia has handled the crisis fairly well by going in hard. The question is what is the optimal path back to normal? I think we can watch and learn from what other places do and see what works and what doesn’t. No need to rush.

My wife went back to work yesterday to a ladies clothing store and said she felt very vulnerable, not so much at the counter but when showing garments to customers who, probably inadvertently, kept getting up close to see and touch them. I always told my kids (both generations) many people learn by their mistakes … however, much better to learn from other people’s mistakes.

eg For well over a decade now I have been very careful about hand rails – any hand rails … never use ’em even on escalators and travelators … probably came from traveling half a million kliks on planes … I too feel “vulnerable” in shops … because of the dills I come across who obviously didn’t learn how to measure distance at school … and I have avoided crowds since an incident in PNG when we had to literally drive through a riot … after visiting a supermarket in Port Moresby. The last thing we want is to give back all the gains we’ve worked so hard for.” For the rest of the year, probably. Notice also that Dan didn’t put his name to it but gave the job to the Health Minister. As if she could or would do this – other than under Dear Leader’s express instructions

So…the government induces a (bipartisan) recession. Yet you think that’s without consequences to mental health and additional suicides.

It’s forecast by experts, but you don’t like their expert advice and modelling.

    “Arguing with the science”
    ————–

Initially those that wanted more targeted restrictions were told they were “putting the economy/business interests ahead of people’s lives”. The “predictable” usually ignore that there are significant mental health issues associated with a poor economy, some of those issues are fatal. Experts are pointing this out.

But the “predictable” just want to argue with the science.

This is a recession due to bipartisan policy, and people will die as a result.

Its a forecast and so is the “forecast” that more C-19 deaths will occur if we follow your “desires” …

Choice more C-19 deaths or more suicides … the odds of more C-19 deaths appear to be higher … BTW, (not to be trite) but suicides are not catching, not a virus, possible suicides are not always saved but with WARNINGS may be …

I’ve been listening to his press conferences and have heard him use that exact terminology, such as “some of these measures will need to be in place for at least until the rest of the year”. He’s going to want to hold on to his “emergency” powers so he doesn’t have to put the measures through the pesky parliament.

A friend sent this to me this morning but I’ve only just opened his email …

Maybe we don’t have it that bad.

It’s a mess out there now. Hard to discern between what’s a real threat and what is just simple panic and hysteria. For a small amount of perspective at this moment, imagine you were born in 1900.

On your 14th birthday, World War I starts and ends on your 18th birthday. 22 million people perish in that war. Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until your 20th birthday. 50 million people die from it in those two years. Yes, 50 million.

On your 29th birthday, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, the World GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33. The country nearly collapses along with the world economy.

When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet. And don’t try to catch your breath. On your 41st birthday, the United States is fully pulled into WWII. Between your 39th and 45th birthday, 75 million people perish in the war.

Smallpox was epidemic until you were in your 40’s, as it killed 300 million people during your lifetime.

At 50, the Korean War starts. 5 million perish. From your birth, until you are 55 you dealt with the fear of Polio epidemics each summer. You experience friends and family contracting polio and being paralyzed and/or die.

At 55 the Vietnam War begins and doesn’t end for 20 years. 4 million people perish in that conflict. During the Cold War, you lived each day with the fear of nuclear annihilation. On your 62nd birthday, you have the Cuban Missile Crisis, a tipping point in the Cold War. Life on our planet, as we know it, almost ended. When you turn 75, the Vietnam War finally ends.

Think of everyone on the planet born in 1900. How did they endure all of that? When you were a kid in 1985 and didn’t think your 85-year-old grandparent understood how hard school was. And how mean that kid in your class was. Yet they survived through everything listed above. Perspective is an amazing art. Refined and enlightening as time goes on. Let’s try and keep things in perspective.

Your parents and/or grandparents were called to endure all of the above – you are called to stay home and sit on your couch!!

Just an update for you !!

“Earlier this week, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) published data for the six months to December 2019, which found that the number of mortgage-related complaints rose by 20 per cent when compared to the average monthly figure in the previous reporting period.

Despite this, brokers only represented 15 of the 2,201 progressed home loan complaints made by consumers.

This equated to 0.68 per cent of all complaints made in relation to home loans in the six months to December 2019, down from 0.74 per cent in the previous reporting period.”

Heading towards 0.05% of complaints yet we are still the ones being fucked and crucified. I see our industry folding over the next 2 years while the big 4 will once again control the financial industry and have borrowers by the throat. What a total disaster the RC was, being chaired by a biased commission that made massive rulings against brokers while the cases revealed during the RC were all by Banks and not brokers

Apologies for the long post, but this spells out how much we are being lied to about hte real depth of job losses

Jim Stanford, the director of the Australia Institute’s Centre for Future Work, has crunched the numbers on what is left out of the 6.2% unemployment figure.
    He said:

“Official unemployment increased by just 105,000 people. However, 500,000 people lost work but ‘left’ the labour force. To be included in the labour force, you must be available for work and ‘actively seeking it.’ For many, there was no point seeking work in April (or actually impossible to do so.) So, we should count them in actual unemployed too.
Then there’s another 750,000 Australians who were ‘employed’ but didn’t work a single hour. Jobkeeper helps on that score: the goal of the program is to maintain attachment between workers and employers, even if there’s no work. Include them and suddenly unemployment is now 2.1 million — not the official 823,000. That’s an unemployment rate equal to 15% of the adjusted labour force.
However, to get a true picture of unemployment, we also need to account for the big drop in hours of those who did work. Average monthly hours for those still employed fell by 7 hours per worker for the month of April, or by 5%. That’s the loss of another 600,000 full time equivalent positions. That takes genuine unemployment to almost 20%.
Anyone claiming unemployment was ‘not as bad as expected’, has not worked through how the misleading ‘6.2% unemployment rate’ is constructed. A more meaningful number is 20%.”

In the link from rebs New Daily link, Julia Gillard shows how it SHOULD have been done

“Having said that, I do think that, as rational human beings, we can also say to ourselves that whether a problem originates in Sydney, in China, in Portugal, in Brazil, in the United Kingdom, in any country on earth — wherever a problem originates that’s got a possibility of having a profound impact on human health around the planet, then of course it needs to be studied, it needs to be understood.

Well, they could ask them, you know, like they do to measure unemployment [facepalm]

Except, now they have changed the way they measure that. Now, that might be ok, but, you can no longer compare with the past 30 years since Keating brought it in line with the rest of the world, because the way the measure it has now changed. The below is also included in the changes mentioned previously. So, when they say how wonderful we are performing compared to the rest of the world, they are lying.

A person will be classified as employed if they:
    · had taken any kind of paid leave;
    · were away from their job for any reason (e.g. they were stood down), and were paid for some part of the previous 4 weeks (including through the jobkeeper scheme); or
    · were away from their job for four weeks or less for any reason, without pay, but believe they still have a job to go back to (e.g. they were stood down, with no pay).

Previously, to be employed, you only had to pass the one criteria

Employed – includes people who are in a paid job for one hour or more in a week.

“China has threatened to cut off Australia’s $63 billion iron ore export pipeline to Beijing, as relations continue to sour over the COVID-19 inquiry.”

    Very very unlikely.

The only other really big producer is Vale (pronounced Va Lay) of Brazil. There is no way they could fill the supply gap in the absence of Rio, BHP and Fortescue and there is no way Vale will spend what would be $ Billions on an production expansion program that might become obsolete if Australian supplies to China resume to normal.

For Vale that would be financial lunacy. Plus you might find a good deal of pressure on Brazil by the West to refuse to fill the gap

Vale will just end up enjoying monopoly prices and the Chinese will just have to pay those prices even if their steel mills are running at massive losses of billions.

If it happens it wont last long

And with Coal because our Coal is of such high quality the Chinese would then need to modify their steel furnaces to cope with the lower quality. In China each steel company and its furnaces take supply from different areas (countries of origin) of the supply chain. That takes puts some offline for a time and again costs lots of $$$$$$$$$.

However, they did get fussy, but left gaping holes. So, it’s a pretty complex, but very messy ’emergency’ measure, that came out way too late.

As Australia begins to relax its Covid-19 restrictions there is understandable debate about how quickly that should proceed, and whether lockdowns even made sense in Australia in the first place …

… The sceptics arguing for more rapid relaxation of containment measures point to the economic costs of lockdowns and appeal to the cold calculus of cost-benefit analysis to conclude that the lives saved by lockdowns don’t justify the economic costs incurred to do so.In the specific case of this pandemic there is survey evidence based on respondents from 58 countries suggesting that strong government responses to the pandemic have been reducing worry and depression.

Some of youse might find this interesting… The latest from Shane Oliver…

Apologies in advance for the long cut and paste…(my bold here and there)

Australian jobs data provided a confusing picture with a much smaller than expected rise in unemployment to 6.2% masking a significant deterioration in the labour market.

Basically, while roughly 600,000 jobs were lost last month, around 500,000 people left the workforce which meant that the unemployment rate “only” rose to 6.2%. The decline in workforce participation was presumably because laid off workers didn’t look for work due to either the lockdown or on the assumption that they will just go back to their old job when the lockdown ends.

The changed rules enabling people to access JobSeeker without having to seek paid employment may have also encouraged many to temporarily leave the workforce. Were it not for the fall in participation the unemployment rate would have been 9.6%.

But there is still a huge hit to household income due to a 9.2% drop in hours worked with 2.7 million workers either leaving employment or having their hours reduced (as indicated by a rise in underemployment to 13.7% and a rise in labour underutilisation to around 19.9%). And of course, were it not for JobKeeper employment would have fallen a lot more than the 594,000 decline reported – in fact over 5.5 million workers are now protected by JobKeeper. Thankfully!

The other piece of “good news” is that Australia has avoided confidence zapping headlines around “surging unemployment.” We still see unemployment rising from here, but the April report gives us more confidence that it won’t get above 10%. In fact, it may not get much above 8% given that the big hit to the economy and jobs was in April.

The main risk will be after September if the economy hasn’t recovered much and JobKeeper and the enhanced JobSeeker ends seeing more workers defining themselves as unemployed.

    <i."OK, which bit?"

I think these bits are true:

“Donald Trump is a rough individual. He is vain, insensitive and raw.”

I have an open mind on this:

“He is the last firewall between us and this cesspool called Washington.”

As at now he is a better candidate than Creepy Joe. But I can’t believe Joe will be the Democrat candidate come November.

A further example of the sublime stupidity of US journalism here is some objective reporting from the Washington Post – Stacey Abrams as “runway supermodel:”

“When she is finally introduced, the women shout and leap to their feet. Young women stand on chairs, camera phones flash. Abrams, who appears both amused and slightly disturbed by the fuss over her, takes control of the chaotic scene. I’ve witnessed this level of affection for very few political leaders in the Democratic circles I’ve been in since the 1980s. They have the last names Clinton (both Hillary and Bill), Sanders, Warren, Jackson and Obama (both Michelle and Barack).

Pandemonium ensues as she walks to the far left of the stage, like a runway supermodel, stops on a dime, poses, tilts her head slightly and smiles. Camera flashes explode. She next pivots and walks slowly to the center of the stage, freezes there and repeats the pose. Again, the flashes explode. Abrams is summoning her inner actress, and she is both enjoying the moment and getting through it to get to the conversation. She then pivots and walks to the far right of the stage, same.”

True. We applaud dissidents in many countries for having the courage to speak out. But many seem to shy away from offending the powerful. China is a bully with their claims in the South China Sea, and if ever we are going to rebalance the relationship, it’s when the economy is in recession.

We ran out to do Americas dirty work, and now are trying to claim a legitimate inquiry into a world wide pandemic is somehow because of us?

The bottom line is that we as a nation simply cannot afford to pay people to sit at home and not produce. Now some economists will tell us that JobKeeper is a transfer and not a cost and so we have nothing to worry about. Others might tell us that public debt doesn’t really matter because we’re really just borrowing from ourselves. Whatever. The economy is not a perpetual motion machine running on fairy dust or unicorn farts.

The economic challenge that we now face is getting Australians back to work. Sit-down money had a place in securing our health – but won’t help in the next phase of recovery.

THE health establishment was looking away when the coronavirus struck; it had other priorities. If you look at the World Health Organisation’s list of health threats, number one is climate change. Pandemics were down in third place, behind ‘non-communicable diseases’ such as diabetes and obesity.

Wherever you look, you will find some of the biggest names in the public health establishment declaiming on the risks of climate change to world health. On the eve of the outbreak, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene declared that we would be seeing ‘mass migration, emerging infectious diseases such as dengue and a shortage of food’. As the first people fell ill in Wuhan, the WHO announced that in ten years we would be seeing 250,000 additional deaths per year from malnutrition, malaria, diarrhoea and heat stress as a result of global warming. Epidemiologist Professor Andy Haines told readers of the Telegraph that ‘climate change is a threat to global and national security that is costing lives and livelihoods right now’.

It’s a sorry tale, and an indication of how far the vast sums of money that are available for climate change research are distorting public health research priorities, just as they are in so many fields. As we look at the destruction wrought by the pandemic, it’s hard not to wonder if people in the field should have spent less time poring over dubious unvalidated mathematical models about the spread of malaria and more about whether we had the wherewithal to respond to a major pandemic.

Cuomo ducking and weaving on nursing homes:

Anyone who wants to ask, ‘Why did the state do that with COVID patients in nursing homes,’ it’s because the state followed President Trump’s CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidance,” Cuomo told reporters in Albany who pressed him on whether he had any regrets about the directive, which may have played a role in the deaths of thousands of nursing home residents.

“They should ask President Trump. I think that will stop the conversation,” he repeated.”

There is enough blame to go around for one of the worst decisions in this pandemic. But in the end it was the state governments that made the final decision. Not all states were as cavalier with their elderly. Florida for example (despite its other short-comings):

Florida got the message and implemented a model response. Despite its vast enclaves of long-term care homes, it reported under 750 deaths in them, or slightly more than one for each of its 615 facilities.

The striking contrast between Florida on one hand and New York and New Jersey on the other can be traced largely to policy decisions by their governors. Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York and Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey issued almost identical orders in late March requiring nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients being discharged from hospitals. The orders barred the homes from even asking if the patients had the virus, lest they be discriminated against.

Those politically correct orders quickly became death sentences as infections spread like wildfire.

Florida, thankfully, followed a different path. Gov. Ron DeSantis said his state moved early to protect the elderly because statistics from South Korea showed “that not all age groups were equally at risk” and that most deaths happened to “folks 65 and up.”

As a result, he allowed his nursing homes to reject hospital referrals who were still infected. More recently, Florida started sending infected residents in the opposite direction, from nursing homes to hospitals.

“Our goal is to keep the virus out of our facilities,” one Florida nursing-home CEO told the Sun-Sentinel. “Hospitals are more concerned about their beds.”

Millions of Australian casual workers could be in for a major payout after the federal court ruled they were eligible for paid leave.
Yesterday’s landmark decision means staff with regular shifts won’t be considered “casual” workers, even if that’s what their contracts state.
The ruling arose after mine worker Robert Rossato argued his previous employer WorkPac had labelled him a “casual” worker even though he worked “regular, certain, continuing, constant and predictable” shifts which were set in advance.
While Mr Rossato had a 25 per cent casual loading included in his wages, judges rules he was also entitled to leave on top.

Great! That’s just what businesses need right now! A huge, new payout!

If a casual worker accepts a casual loading instead of receiving various types of leave, there should be no leave accrual. They should be required to be offered an on going job without the loading.

    This is a disgrace!!

Just goes to show that an unemployment rate of 6% is required otherwise you are really eating off the bottom of the birdcage

US A-G William Barr recently said that it was extremely unlikely that Obama or Biden would be prosecuted over Obamagate. He also said (at about 2 mins):

“What happened to the president, and I have said this many times, what happened to the president in the 2016 election in the first two years of his administration was abhorrent. It was a grave injustice and it was unprecedented in American history. The law enforcement and intelligence apparatus of this country were involved in advancing a false and utterly baseless Russian collusion narrative against the president. The proper investigative and prosecuted standards of the Department of Justice were abused, in my view, in order to reach a particular result.”

I think that statement is correct. It is also why Barr is trying to keep the FBI out of the current election. This is an interesting time in US politics.

Austerity and victim blaming: Scott Morrison goes back to the old politics
    Richard Denniss
The PM tries to shift responsibility for managing the economy to everyone besides his government

Like a lost driver claiming to have deliberately taken the scenic route, Scott Morrison is desperate to make a fiscal virtue out of the Australian Tax Office’s $60bn administrative error. Just last week, the Treasury secretary, Steven Kennedy, was assuring the Senate that the unprecedented size of the government’s fiscal stimulus package was appropriate, given the unprecedented size of the recession we are headed into. But this week, after learning that jobkeeker was only providing half of the stimulus he had promised, Morrison is pretending that he never really wanted to spend the full $130bn on jobkeeper anyway.

Since then we have not run a surplus budget and racked up $400B of debt with more to come.

We should have been running surplus budgets since 2013 but Australia did not want to do that.

But the ALP is looking for reasons to spend it, not to reduce the burden on the next generation.

Why is that? When on emissions reduction policy, the ALP won’t accept that we can pass on our legacy to the future.

No use looking in the rear vision mirror. The ALP wants to increase the already HUGE deficit. Load up future generations with even more debt

I think if a party chooses to increase debt, it has to advocate how to pay it off.

And…why are you willing to leave a huge debt legacy, limiting policy options, but have an entirely different view about emissions reduction?

I hear you. Personally i have lost interest in the Coalition when they elected Turnbull as leader

But my beliefs have never changed. ALP/Greens and their supporters destroy the lives of people

So where do i go? i could never vote ALP/Greens because they lock up children. 8,469 last time. 80,000 next time

Says the one that wanted a complete and total lockdown (ala NZ)

And NZ has done better than anyone else has.

Also, I did say we should close schools, luckily, the states did

I said we should close businesses, luckily the states did

If we had followed the path morrison wanted, who knows how many infections we would have had, and how many resultant deaths. We were lucky that everyone BUT the government took it seriously, and ignored the government, who were busy working out if 130 was the same as 70 or not.

    American Journal of Epidemiology:

“Five studies, including two controlled clinical trials, have demonstrated significant major outpatient treatment efficacy. Hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin has been used as standard-of-care in more than 300,000 older adults with multicomorbidities, with estimated proportion diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmias attributable to the medications 47/100,000 users, of which estimated mortality is <20%, 9/100,000 users, compared to the 10,000 Americans now dying each week. These medications need to be widely available and promoted immediately for physicians to prescribe.

    That’s NOT what you said.

Although, I don’t think any business didn’t see a change in turnover.

And, while I was a big supporter of lockdown, that does NOT equate to stopping business. We locked down personally, but I have worked right throughout (one of the lucky ones). And even full lockdown countries had ‘essential’ services running. But all were impacted, to some degree. ie, postal saw an explosion in business.

If you want to fuck your economy up then ….. do what Italy did and wait, until you are FORCED to lock your economy up

OK, if you assume “FORCED to lock your economy up” equate to shutting down absolutely everything as a precaution, you are delusional. What I clearly said was, if you don’t shut down early, it will be worst in the long run. We did shut down most things, schools included. but even countries in full lockdown had some businesses running, very similar to what we did. New Zealand went further than us, but it still operated many ‘essential’ services

“OK, if you assume “FORCED to lock your economy up” equate to shutting down absolutely everything as a precaution, you are delusional.”

    Absolute garbage.

You chose to draw a direct comparison with Italy which did in fact shutdown everything except for food shops and medical. All retail, wholesale, manufacturing and construction was shut down.

The only time you could emerge from your house in Italy was to go to the NEAREST grocery store. You were not even permitted to travel to an adjoining suburb.

You are the one that’s delusional in thinking that using Italy as an example of “FORCED to lock your economy up” means something else other than total shutdown.

Your words have come back to haunt you………….again

So don’t go bleating about job losses when you wanted nothing less than leaving our economy as a smoking ruin.

All retail, wholesale, manufacturing and construction was shut down.

Yes, Italy was forced to lock everything up, yes, that’s what I said, and what I meant, if you DON’T lockdown, you will end up like Italy, shutting everything down. Not sure what part of the English language is confusing you here?

As you can see, even New Zealands total lockdown didn’t do what Italy was forced to do.

America and England won’t either, they’ll just keep killing their citizens.

Our government may be a corrupt, hapless mess, but those two are in a different league altogether

It’s absolutely clear that you advocated it…………………but keep pedaling you aint fooling anybody.

Well, they did. It was soon after that the states ignored the pm and closed schools and most other things.

Go on say something, you'll feel better...
