Trump gets the Chinah Virus!

THE FINAL SEASON OF AMERICA has taken a remarkable plot twist with the President of the United States (played by colourful reality TV personality Donald Trump) and the late King of Pop Michael Jackson as his hilarious wife #FLOTUS succumbing to the much maligned “Chinah Virus.”

For those following along at home, Australia’s Chinah Virus expert Dr Norman Swan says that at the Donald Trump’s age of 74, the mortality rate is 5-12%.

But, he says, that obesity (the president is just over the line as obese in his last medical check) increases the risk by an extra 40%, increasing the risk of death to between about 7-18%.

Some of us were hoping for something a little higher.

Trump’s personal physician says that the president and first lady will “remain at home within the White House during their convalescence”.

How long this convalescence lasts will depend on how ill the pair get. Even if Trump tests negative within the next 14 days, he will almost certainly be unable to attend rallies in three key states – Wisconsin, Florida and Arizona – as well as the next presidential debate, which is scheduled for 15 October.

Which is all really sad.

    Simply put, the Australian Border Force is in charge of incoming arrivals, with the commonwealth given constitutionally articulated responsibility for quarantining. The Constitution, in section 51 (IX), lays out in black and white that the commonwealth, not the states, has oversight for quarantine. It is the basis for the Quarantine Act, which has not been legally challenged since 1908, including during the 1919 pandemic. We also now have the Biosecurity Act (2015), which provides extremely broad powers, and it mandates that commonwealth powers supersede those of the states.

    Some state or territory laws cover areas where there is no federal law or their laws can be in line with federal law. If there is a clash between federal and state or territory laws, the federal law overrides them.

    1: Trump (supposedly) had the virus. 2: For some viruses this gives (limited) immunity to the same strain of the same virus. 3: Nobody knows for sure whether this is the case with the virus popularly known as COVID-19. 5: Trump, by having this virus, may or may not now be immune. 6: Therefore, his statement “I don’t know…maybe I’m immune” is as correct a statement about his possible immunity as he could make.

    Biden is favourite on Sportsbet at $1.55. Trump is currently $2.50. Last time Hillary was much shorter than Biden is now and Trump was around $5 when I my bets on.

    Only the most partisan think such behaviour is ethical. The precedent is being established and the checks and balances have been whittled thin.

    • Clinton (not the rapist Clinton, the slander-the-victim Clinton) OK’d a plan to attack Trump saying that Trump was conspiring with Russians;

    • The Clinton campaign constructed a pack of lies using the services of a Russian spy working (unsurprisingly) at a left think tank;

    • The Russians knew that their spy was colluding with the Clinton campaign;

    • The FBI knew all of the above and used the pack of lies to defraud the FISA court to grant warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and presidency;

    All of the above (and much, much more) would have been swept under the rug if Clinton had won.

    The US has now one last chance to get rid of the festering corruption rotting its institutions from within. Trump is the last best hope to do this.

    The other is Mill’s greatest good for the greatest number. Under that rule you can sacrifice individuals for the greater good.

    If you adopt the first rule you are less likely to support abortion. Adopting the second is more pragmatic but I don’t like it. It’s what the Chinese government would say as it harvest organs from political prisoners.

Security guards are used in most states, NSW included, and the breaches they have made are arguably worst than what happened in Victoria, and that’s without an inquiry to dig down on.

He’s our murder weapon.’ That is there was real hope that Trump, being an outsider, and not someone who made his wealth from politics like Obama, Biden and Crooked did, would actually take on the Washington swamp.

    I actually believe Trump is doing that. Crooked and the Clinton cabal were irredeemably corrupt. Wars were driven by the military industrial complex.     And — in what would be declared a “debacle” and a “bungle” if it had occurred following a Labor budget — Josh Frydenberg has had to rush to consult with the Business Council (BCA) because the asset depreciation provision threshold as drafted is too low for the large businesses and multinationals that make up the BCA’s membership. If only other community groups could have Treasury on tap to redraft budget measures for them.

    This is in a budget that the government had an extra six months to craft, giving it ample time to consult with business about what would deliver the most effective incentive to get much-needed investment flowing. When your budget strategy is a business-led recovery, there’s no excuse for not getting the business incentives right. If you’re not doing the vision thing, you should at least nail the practical stuff.

    Thanks for the link Tom. I’ve been reading the same thing from pretty much ‘everywhere,’ even from sometime Liberal apologists Laura Tingle, Katharine Murphy and Alan Kohler, the budget is nothing but one huge gamble, with the govt pinning its hopes on a business-led recovery out of recession.

    The only problem with funnelling huge wads of cash directly into the pockets of businesses is that they tend to keep it.

    And what sort of business owner, in their right mind, is going to employ additional staff (subsidised or not) if there aren’t any customers to serve.

    It’s the most unimaginative budget I’ve seen in decades. I hope it works, but I doubt it.

    It seems like the LNP has just pissed a trillion dollars up against the wall, but hey at least their business mates and donors will thank them.

    Here is what we know:
    1. In February 2014 Robert Hunter Biden was discharged from the Naval Reserve for cocaine abuse.

    2. In April 2014 RHB joined the board of Burisma, a company with annual revenue of $400m.

    Title records show the deal was struck on 16 October, the church purchasing the venue for $23,375,000.
