Gladys Berejiklian: The Premier who wasn’t There

The NSW State Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced that she will “no longer be available” to answer any questions about case numbers, hospitalisations or deaths instead opting to address the public “intermittently” on what she has called an “as needs” basis. Or in other words, when she can be bothered.
The decision comes as New South Wales is expected to enter its peak period for Covid deaths and hospitalisations as the State prepares to ease restrictions despite clocking up a record breaking 1,542 new infections and nine deaths overnight and a 7-day average exceeding 1,400.
Defending her decision Ms Berejiklian said: “I will turn up when I need to but to expect the leader of the government indefinitely to do this every day means that I am not doing my job properly.” she said.
“In all honesty, I really can’t be fucked anymore,” she added.
I look forward to the palpable outrage from YoM… 😆

I think it’s a wise decision. Dan should follow suit.
Remember how James Merlino actually listened to questions…and answered them!!
Very unusual behaviour for a Victorian politician
Agreed, ToM. I wish they’d all shut up.
I guess the internal polling showed that voters thought Gladys was a hopeless schmuck.
“I really can’t be fucked anymore”
A philosophy to live by.

BREAKING!
NILE DUMPS LYLE: Fringe right wing figure and religious nutter Fred Nile has reportedly dumped oddball Christian extremist Lyle Shelton as his successor in the NSW Parliament.
and answered them!
it’s interesting how a guy can stand there for hours a day until the journos have run out of questions, and still some nuts claim he doesn’t answer questions.
what is you still need to know yomm? How to recharge a kobo?
This lockdown is driving me nuts. I just want to get a haircut and see my dentist. I am sure in Europe during WW2, even under German rule you could get a haircut.
Unless you were a Jew, Kneel …
and answered them!
ScoMo to SloMo to SlimeyMo … and let’s not forget SootyMo …

WoW! JUst realised this is a new thread!

Does that sound like Kim Jong-un? (Seen his new “image”)?
Does that sound like(Ras)Putin?
Does that sound like Xi-ping?
Why are we constantly electing losers and allowing their enablers to put ’em into power that they can’t handle?

“I really can’t be fucked anymore”
A positive approach for all of life’s evils … best of luck …

In other news, NSW hospital and ambulance staff have been given the option of not bothering to turn up to work anymore
Bugger! Had to read that twice to catch the sarc! My birthplace is famous for it! Pissed!

Shit! I thought the old prick would be in purgatory by now … he’d love the new laws in Texas …

I doubt the German leader banned anybody from getting a haircut or seeing their Dentist during WW2 like is the case in Sydney
But as usual i could be wrong

This government’s manipulation of department’s and public monies has to be called into account!
Not so long ago it was deficit, deficit, deficit! And then giving succor to the rich is revealed in such a gross manner … JC would be spinning on the cross! And why isn’t the holy trinity pissed off at these christian hypocrites?
We are being robbed left right and centre …
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
But as usual i could be wrong
Yep … read yer history, Kneel.
“This government’s manipulation of department’s and public monies has to be called into account!”
Why on earth would you say that? They use robodebt against the real criminals don’t they? You know like students and the unemployed.
They use robodebt against the real criminals don’t they?
Data matching between the ATO and Centrelink started in the early 1990’s under Labor when Richardson was Minister
In 2011 Shorten computerized the process. Robodebt had started by LABOR
In 2016 Coalition introduced a new computer method to determine income called income averaging.
It turned out to be a disaster and was illegal for some reason
It turned out to be a disaster and was illegal for some reason
Bemusing isn’t it. Maybe there’s some sort of a legal explanation for this?
TomR
Robodebt started in 2011.
In 2016 the Coalition introduced a new method to determine income called income averaging
It was most probably the next step in Shortens Robodebt scheme in a world being run by computers more and more
Income averaging was illegal for some reason. I have no idea why.
Perhaps you can tell me??
They’re called links nil, if you can spot them 😉
I saw the link.
In 2016 the Coalition introduced a new computer method to determine income called income averaging instead of using fortnightly statements to determine income
Not only was it a disaster it was also illegal for some reason
What is your point???
And, crucially, government was completely wrong in law in believing that it could avoid its legal responsibility to prove the existence and size of ‘debts’, or raise a debt where a person could not disprove its supposed existence.
OK the Coalition got it wrong. So what?
But what was illegal was income averaging as a method to determine income.
If it was illegal why didn’t the Public Service tell the Coalition govt it was illegal??
# So what?

Naughty? Irresponsible?…or man of steel flexing his freedoms?
Hope my Eastern State friends are safe and well.
Do you think they’ll really let you into theatres to watch the new DUNE movie on Dec2?
Hi TBoss good to see you back! Might have to watch Dune in HDCam version.
“The readiness of people to dob and snitch on their neighbors worries me a lot, frankly.”
From a former leader of the Party who zealously sent out fridge magnets to enable spurious neighbour dobbing.
I’m not in favour of lagging. Snitches got stitches where I lived at school, but there’s a picture of Pious Abbott…irrefutable evidence of his somewhat malleable tolerance for The Law.
Wouldn’t be difficult to find a cnutload of quotes of him berating ‘lawbreakers’.
I read the book, then the series of books, at age 13.
Always been a fan.
The cast of the new movie looks great.
I suspect it will attract political backlash from plenty. But I’m excited as fuck.
I never read it as political at all. At that age, I didn’t even have the semblance of ideological thinking, just an overactive imagination.
I’m less politically aligned than I’ve ever been these days. I know what I like, I know what I loathe…and I can generally articulate why. Logic and reason for me please; neither should have a taint of alignment…almost impossible in practice.
Strange times.
Glad I live as far as away from most of it as I do.

I read my Dad’s copy years ago.
Not surprised at all to see another ‘power’ leaving Afghanistan with tail between the legs. They’ve been expelling imperialists for centuries. Mission Abolished.
Pity those who must live in a staunch theocracy though.
So lucky, we are, to live in a moderate, affluent, reasonably logical nation state.
Even better to be in a scarcely populated, geographically isolated, civilized part of said nation state.
I think mandating vaccination is overstepping the mark by a ruling tier.
I am fully Pfizer vaxxed, have been for a while.
I don’t like the idea of the state enforcing medical interventions, unless it’s making Jehovah parents give their kids blood transfusions, when required.
Having said that, if you’re ignorant or arrogant enough to ignore the evidence, advice and your fucking social conscience, fuck you…roll the dice, enjoy your long covid, dipshit. Where it gets fraught, is where the dumb cunts go around spreading it to the rest of the crowd.
Difficult to prevent without being absolutely draconian, which I’m not in favour of. Establishing precedents is problematic, when they can or may be wielded in a cavalcade of unintended ways.
Good TV
“I think mandating vaccination is overstepping the mark by a ruling tier.”
This is an actual case of my body, my choice. The current vaccines have not been through the normal testing processes.
However, the decision is a tough one. If the goal is protecting the ability of the hospital system (which is now near breaking point) then maybe there should be some incentivisation but short of compulsion.
Also, the man asks a good question:
Hey, hey, toylet! Long time no hear. Welcome home! 😊
I read the book, then the series of books, at age 13.
Always been a fan.
Me too … I hope they get the story right this time … I reckon Dune is a spoof on religious fervour versus royal/political greed … made for the times with the Afghanistan buffoonery going on …
BTW, like the new moniker … 🤣
Great to see you HD!
“If the goal is protecting the ability of the hospital system (which is now near breaking point) then maybe there should be some incentivisation but short of compulsion.”
Indeed.
I have a couple of direct blood relations with skin in the game now, one old and one just embarking into the stressed system.
It struggles under ‘normal’ health concerns, let alone (little lone…remember that fuckwit?) if a pandemic gets a firm hold of it.
No way any government could properly prepare. If they held hundreds of surplus hospital beds, they’d get flayed for wasting money.
If and when there aren’t enough, gonna get flogged for that.
Mitigation is very important, which is why, when the dunderheads in the US start carrying on about Australia being tyrannical, I am reminded of context and fuckwits with deliberate ignorance.
Nice to see all y’all too!
What happened to Choke Adelaide this evening was maximal schadenfreude.
So satisfying.
“I reckon Dune is a spoof on religious fervour versus royal/political greed … ”
I’d say the usual suspects will attack it for ‘environmentalism’ and maybe changing one of the characters to a female?
Apart from that, I read somewhere that it was gaining criticism for supposedly being a ‘white saviour’ movie…all I can say to that is, they haven’t read beyond the first book; the saviour isn’t.
Fuck woke revisionism of this amazing book.
I hold high hopes for the movie, first half of first book; eagerly awaiting green light for second half.
|Surprisingly provident times for toilet paper manufacturing.
I still can’t properly comprehend that. It’s not a fucking plague of dysentry.
“Also, the man asks a good question:”
He does.
I am very interested in answers.
I don’t think there’s much statistical data which would lead me to conclude that not being vaccinated is or could be a net positive, over a large population group?
“However, the decision is a tough one.”
This is why I respect your opinions.
Important nuance.
Fuck being a decision maker in these times, but we need good heads, considering accurate information, to do it. Poison chalice, but I hope logic and reason prevails.
It does feel a bit like home, TB.
How long has it been?
I recognise the people and their considered opinions, even Kneel.
An intriguing, so far uninterrupted, stream of our consciousness’.
A marker upon the calendar and its unrelenting march.
Always pleased to see you all.
I certainly feel for y’all in restrictive areas, living under impositions, but, as my old friend splatter alluded to, it’s likely to insulate a health system without capacity, and I really feel for those frontline people. Intelligent choices and behaviour can help them a lot.
A furtive monologue…
Looking at the time of your last comment … way past a country lad’s bedtime!
Speaking of vaccinations … I was informed yesterday evening (by a family member – about to enter the medical fray) that the local Vaccine Hub a couple of minutes drive away … was accepting walk ins and taking bookings fore every MINUTE ie 8:00, 8:01, 8:02 etc …
Reading Hildebrand’s latest burble he needs to find something useful to do … folding socks sounds good … he’s way out of his depth as a “””journalist””””
Jailbird Eddie still pulls the strings in the ALP. His girl Kneely seems to get all the breaks.
“I don’t think there’s much statistical data which would lead me to conclude that not being vaccinated is or could be a net positive, over a large population group?”
Based on what we know now the only logical choice is to get vaccinated. My twenty somethings took AZ rather than nothing as they were better off than not being vaccinated.
” I hope logic and reason prevails.”
You are expecting that politicians will somehow behave differently. Ever wonder why they are unwilling to tell us about their focus group polling data?
Well i have booked in to get the jab on Thursday.
It is the threat behind not getting it is what annoys me. It is reducing peoples resistance to govt orders. The next order may be to jump off a cliff and half the population will do it because they just want to get on with life
(Poison chalice, but I hope logic and reason prevails.
Indeed; notionally, anyone who can crudely calculate vaxx rate(s) vis-a-vis (innate) delta repro rates knows the ‘safe(r)’ general(ised) number is >87% double-hoses-of-dope, for repro to be tending to <1, and therefore something akin to incipient herd immunity; yet c.20% of the population, presumably more or less depending on 'locale' and 'demographics', say they are 'vaccine hesitant' or straight-up vaxx resistant (and therefore subject(s) of/to Dictator Dan's (un)peculiar ire); hence, also, the very-scientific makey-uppy roadmaps, hopey-feely sales-pitches, and/or Dr Chant-ish pleas for 'equitable vaccination', and (close to) a general 90% vaxx rate to 'protect' the 'vulnerable' (which may or may not be anyone with an 'underlying condition', and/or, seemingly, anyone, and everyone, (still) lacking complete(d) vaccination, for one reason or another, including ongoing 'supply' and/or 'delivery' issues), before abruptly dropping comms going into that dark tunnel with, erm, the light at the end; or something like that.)
Jailbird Eddie still pulls the strings in the ALP. His girl Kneely seems to get all the breaks.
That sounds likely, except for the awkward fact that he is where he is partly because of KK. Nice try smearbum 😉

“hence, also, the very-scientific makey-uppy roadmaps, hopey-feely sales-pitches”
That concerns me too.
Trying to put a positive spin on letting it cut through the population like a scythe, once an arbitrary threshold is attained (but, presumably, being a threshold of the entire eligible willing population of the nation, not necessarily a threshold which will have been reached in all subject regions across the country)…for the benefit of mayhap givving a glimpse of tunnel’s end light; or, most likely, bending for economic considerations.
A prudent, measured extraction is warranted, eventually. Hopefully, that is achieved without undue business influence.
One thing that’s very evident is that we need far less engineers on site to actually run well. I think the whole work from home junket has probably got HR razor gangs licking their lips. Glad I’m not staff. The productive have already been whittled down…now a few extraneous, arguably surplus to needs office underlings may be pruned.
The Tucker Carlson’s of the world can sniff my balls.
I kinda agree with your comment Neil, but find it a bit hyperbolic.
I don’t think threats, or certain types of florid coercion are efficient means to a medically preferred end.
At least we don’t live in The Land Of The More Easily Misled, where a conga line of DJT afficianados are playing pied pipers of the ignorant.
Certainly, we are lucky geographically, but the overall moderate mentality here makes the situation more manageable. Not so many damascene deathbed antivax conversions.
FWIW, I am quite pleased with the response of the generally moderate, ruling SA Liberal Party; although the nutcases in the fringes have tried their best to reinsert themselves and thwart good, popular social policy.
My local Member voted for VAD etc, in one of the safest conservative seats in the country. Made me reevaluate him.
“You are expecting that politicians will somehow behave differently.”
Hoping is different to expecting.
It becomes exhausting, being jaded about everything, all the time.
I do feel for citizens of the Eastern States. Very difficult to control due to short travels and population densities.
I think, generally, our politicians here likely (correctly) fear the political fallout of a rampant death toll and collapsing hospital system. The clamour would be far louder and politically existential, than a few thousand assorted nutcases protesting in the streets every now and again.
I really don’t like horses, but the deadshit that clobbered the police horse shoulda known that he’d be turned into the country’s greatest villain, in that instant.
“way past a country lad’s bedtime!”
Shiftworkers and bedtimes are odd bedfellows, TB!
I think, generally, our politicians here likely (correctly) fear the political fallout of a rampant death toll and collapsing hospital system
I would not like to be in Politics right now. None of them have any expertise in virus management so i guess they just follow health advice. It would be a brave or stupid person who would go against expert advice
I really don’t like horses, but the deadshit that clobbered the police horse shoulda known that he’d be turned into the country’s greatest villain, in that instant.
I think you will find it was the other way around. The guy was about to be trampled by the horse and he put his hand up in self defense
“I would not like to be in Politics right now. None of them have any expertise in virus management so i guess they just follow health advice. It would be a brave or stupid person who would go against expert advice”
I agree.
“I think you will find it was the other way around. The guy was about to be trampled by the horse and he put his hand up in self defense”
You may be correct about that. All I meant was, as soon as you raise a hand to police (much less an animal) and have it captured in pictures, you’ve played straight into the hands of the government/police/media.
It’s usually leftist protestors being flayed for same…I do wonder how you feel about that.
The apparatus of state acts incredulous when it comes under attack, the more histrionic the possibilities, the harder they’ll ride the wank train about it.
“It would be a brave or stupid person who would go against expert advice”
Enter Trump Senior, bravely stupid, not stupidly brave.
And didn’t that all turn out well for him and his.
It’s usually leftist protestors being flayed for same…I do wonder how you feel about that.
It is interesting that people from one side of politics are all for the vaccine while people from the other side of politics are suspicious of the vaccine
“That sounds likely, except for the awkward fact that he is where he is partly because of KK. “
Kneely will never live down the fact that she was put in power by the Eddie & Co ALP crime syndicate precisely to replace a decent premier (who was taking on the crooks) with someone more to their taste. Eventually the ALP corruption got so bad even Stooge Kneely couldn’t ignore it.
Shiftworkers and bedtimes are odd bedfellows, TB!
Bugger! I should have remembered that … memories of permanent night shift super for a year (nearly killed me!)

Had to look up Nathan Rees! Never heard of him! Talk about low profile …
Hi Toiletboss!
So, 473 cases in Vic this morning. How’s that short, sharp lockdown workin’ out for ya Dan?
Nice to see you back toiletdude, been missing you here. Hope you are making hay while people are panicking about toilet paper.
It would be a brave or stupid person who would go against expert advice
You’ll note that the NSW premier and pm no longer say they are ‘following’ health advice, they simply receive it 😉
Kneely will never live down the fact
I guess as long as you and murdochs morons keep pushing bullshit, yor probably right.
“Nathan Rees! Never heard of him!”
Typical Queenslander. Just like the insular Yanks who don’t know where Australia is.
Reece took on the corrupt ALP machine so he is not one much celebrated in among the party faithful.
Had to look up Nathan Rees! Never heard of him! Talk about low profile …
What gets me is that the ALP corruption never seem to give the ALP Premiers a bad name. Bob Carr and Nathan Rees were never accused of being corrupt, just their Ministers. Unlike Joh Bjelke Peterson.
“It becomes exhausting, being jaded about everything, all the time.”
Yeah. I’ve spent less time following politics lately. I can’t bring myself to watch the daily briefings. I’m focusing on music, history podcasts and trying to learn about crypto so I can make my fortune there!
How’s that short, sharp lockdown workin’ out for ya Dan?
Unfortunately for them, it began with multiple incursions. Not sure they will get it down now.
New Zealand seems to have managed it. You just need to stop Sydney siders from coming in 😉
Typical Queenslander. Just like the insular Yanks who don’t know where Australia is.
Why thanks for that … shall we trade insults – again?
BTW I am not a “fan” of Keneally.
And I could have simply kept quiet about Rees
Reece took on the corrupt ALP machine
You sound familiar with Rees … even tho you can’t spell his name …
When will someone take over the corrupt Coalition parties do you think?
You just need to stop Sydneysiders from coming in …
… and out … in … and out … 😤
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
“shall we trade insults – again?”
TB that wasn’t an insult! Just banter. 🙂
Gladys has “disappeared” from daily briefings to avoid questions about ICAC.
I have noticed that the lefties are strongly in favor of the jab. Whereas most of the distrust of the jab appears to be coming from the righties.
Anything the left is strongly in favor of has to be regarded with suspicion.
I am booked in to get the jab on Thursday. It seems to be the only way to get things back to more normal. I am all for health and safety but has a medical procedure ever been pushed with such a threatening tone??
TB that wasn’t an insult! Just banter.
LOL! Typical Mexican, or, Cockroach … same same …
Gladys “disappeared” a long time ago … revived occasionally by scumlo … and you talk about ALP corruption? Shame on you.
Anything the left is strongly in favor of has to be regarded with suspicion.

OK, that is just fucking stupid!
Who is it? I suspect, reb!
Also Toiletboss, if you drop by tonight: how good’s the schadenfreude getting Port Scum’ arses handed to them? (And have you gotten over the 2017 grand final yet? It was a surprise when it happened but the form stood up over the next few years.)
” … and you talk about ALP corruption? Shame on you.”
The Eddie Obeid story is very much current news. In the last few days that corrupt ALP power-broker has thrown his own son under the bus:
Eddie Obeid less culpable than his son or his colleague, court hears
Also current news is the equally self-centred behaviour of Eddie’s girl Kneely:
Keneally’s lower house move highlights the white Australian Parliament policy
… and you fail to talk about ALP corruption? Shame on you.
At least I have a go at both sides.
Also, Congress and staffers are exempt from Biden’s Federal vaccination mandate rules. This kind of stinking hypocrisy is now commonplace from the political class. But we’re all in this together, no?
Quelle surprise!
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-14/twitter-social-media-bullies-political-journalism/100458714
At least I have a go at both sides.
As do I … and others here … corruption is corruption … a Federal ICAC should have been legislated years ago …
No surprise at all, ToSy. You can never be pure enough for the pure.
The most vile people in the world are moralising puritans – especially the woke cunts driving cancel culture. In their desire to shut down and punish those with dissenting opinions they have succeeded to the status of the Catholic church in the days of the Spanish Inquisition. The difference between them and ISIS or the Taliban is only one of degree.
As much fun as it is to see the left devour itself, this nonsense has to stop.
This is a provocative and interesting paper:
The very prescient H.L. Mencken (1880 – 1956):
He saw Biden coming!
I heard CFMEU hack, John Setka, arguing against vaccination being mandatory in the construction industry.
He was talking about “individual choice”
I almost gagged from laughing! Imagine HIM arguing for choice!
… this nonsense has to stop.
It surely does …

I heard CFMEU hack, John Setka …
Why waste yer time … Setka is a wanker …
We could all storm Parliament House next week…
Too late, the union thugs tried that in the late 90s
But you don’t hear the left talk about it
“Imagine HIM arguing for choice!”
Setka deserves undying loyalty from his members. He has delivered for them.
In contrast Little Billy Two Knives sold out his AWU members to benefit the bosses.
That is the difference between a union leader in it for the workers and a snake in it for their own career advancement. The latter have become far too powerful in the ALP. Kim Beazley senior had it dead to rights when he said:
It’s only gotten worse since then.
The most vile people in the world are moralising puritans – especially the woke cunts driving cancel culture
That comment just flows 😉
In their desire to shut down and punish those with dissenting opinions they have succeeded to the status of …… our grubmint?
Did you see that the anti vaxers are going to focus their attention on a spot near Byron Bay & Nimbin?
A greens and alternative medicine area, perfect for those wackos
Tom R, removing a fictional work from the history curriculum is common sense – unless your goal is to indoctrinate children with leftist lies.
The actual cancellation happened when Ken Wyatt sacked Aboriginal businesswoman Josephine Cashman from a government advisory role after she criticised Pascoe’s bullshit book.
Dumb turd Trevor Gauld says: “It’s 2021 & the @LiberalAus Govt is banning books.”
The stupid mongrel doesn’t understand that the book hasn’t been banned. Anyone can buy it.
OTOH, it is a public good that political hack teachers are prevented from shoving politicised lies down the throats of school children.
removing a fictional work from the history curriculum is common sense
The best fiction comes with references, aye 😉
he dumped her because she questioned his claim of having First Nations heritage, something she couldn’t prove, and something First Nations people everywhere face prejudice for. Not the sort of individual you want on your side when you are trying to fight against that sort of prejudice in the Parliament
But you don’t hear the left talk about it
And you obviously didn’t read my comments about it — as usual … comprehension? 0/10

it is a public good that political hack teachers are prevented from shoving politicised lies down the throats of school children.
But I bet you support private religious schools … hypocrisy writ large – again
First Nations heritage and that the rub, TR … I have a family member and her friend who face that prejudice … usually by the “mixed marriage” freak outs! (Have you noticed where they generally come from?)
A do nothing Federal Government full of religious nutcases full of their own importance and the right to pillage and plunder (and rape if they think they can get away with it!)
And the “look over there” continues
And for the record, this left/right shit annoys me …
The LNP deputy leader and shadow attorney general, David Janetzki, tabled 54 of the 55 amendments. They include proposed additional restrictions and measures that would allow faith-based healthcare facilities to block residents from accessing VAD.
The LNP leader, David Crisafulli, said the amendments were “trying to improve” the bill. But he said he would oppose it regardless of whether the changes were adopted.
“It breaks a fundamental tenet of society, that human life is sacrosanct,” Crisafulli said. “While my heart hurts for people suffering great pain … I can’t support something that offers the assistance of the state to terminate their lives.”

Next they’ll want to bring back witch hunts!
And the lie here is “It breaks a fundamental tenet of society, that human life is sacrosanct,”
It breaks a tenet of Crisafulli’s RELIGIOUS society not mine … they can opt out! So fuck off!
A do nothing Federal Government full of religious nutcases full of their own importance and the right to pillage and plunder

Already here: its called cancel culture.
Cashman paid the price for leaving the reservation. Being aboriginal and not toeing the line dictated by the Professional Aboriginal class warrants cancellation these days. Remember the dumb horsefucker Larisa Behrendt hammered Bess Price for daring to have a different position on a government initiative.
I hear restrictions might be eased in Melbourne. The criteria- we’re allowed out when-
* There is rain forecast
* The temperature is below 8°
* Standing only, for a minimum of 3 hours
This is far more serious than anything happened on January 6:
its called cancel culture.
Yep, and the ones banning everything and everyone cry out loudly, day after day, how they are being cancelled. It would be funny if not so ridiculous.
Remember how they ran Yassmin Abdel-Magie out of the cuntry for pointing out hard truths about our history on Anzac day (along with all the other victims of Anzac day outrage)
TomR
I was talking about the current virus situation and perhaps the GFC. The govt has just handed over the running of the country to the Public Service
Attention everyone! Take out your style-guides immediately and update the entry titled “book-burning’. It shall hereforeafter be referred to exclusively as “flame purification”. That is all.
lols nil (yes, this was in my reply)
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-25/public-service-workers-say-offices-ignoring-coronavirus-advice/12088120
lols tosy, alan tudge would approve, hey 😉
TomR
I saw that. So what??
Firstly it was talking about Federal and State govt workers. Most of the State govts are Labor. And it only gives the Unions and workers POV.
So how would things be different if Labor was in power when Dan Andrews is not letting State govt workers work from home?
But i was not talking about that topic anyway. I was mainly talking about general virus management
The only difference i can see between the Coalition and labor is border control. Labor does
not believe in borders.
Take careful note of the terms “(Er, no it doesn’t.)” and “(No, it doesn’t.)”
The feds and NSW are doing what they bloody well like. And we are all paying for it.

This was the first sentence in your link
Thousands of Australian public service employees in non-essential areas are being prevented from working remotely by the federal and state governments
Since most State govts are Labor what is your point???
I do remember how Abdul Maggot was feted by the ABC and the wanking class for being entirely stupid, making comments like “Islam to me is the most feminist religion. We got equal rights well before the Europeans.”, something that would make Lord Haw Haw blush.
At that time the stupid bint was taking riding instructions from the fine gentlemen of Hizb ut Tahrir.
She was never cancelled. She got gigs with the usual suspects over the years and last year the Australia Council for the Arts gave the mongrel a $AUD20,000 grant.
Well the lack of privacy is getting worse. Got tested for the virus today and they wanted my Medicare card number which i did not have. They are starting a govt database
The Australia we once knew is now gone
“It is interesting that people from one side of politics are all for the vaccine while people from the other side of politics are suspicious of the vaccine”
It would be interesting, but that is a verifiably untrue assertion.
” I’m focusing on music, history podcasts and trying to learn about crypto so I can make my fortune there!”
Music and history appreciation are great things to feed from!
I’d be wary of crypto. My natural cynic doesn’t help, but my take is the old golden rules…
* if it seems to good to be true, it probably is
+ don’t arrive at a zeitgeist trend late, the manipulators with acumen have already plundered it
+ I worked with a bloke, retired for a couple of years, who thought it was his golden ticket…he was a complete fuckwit, ignorant, aggressive, belligerent…this has seen me actively subsuming schadenfreude every time the bitcoin price takes a dive…he retired in Thailand, leeching off alocal, immediately prior to the pandemic…this guy used to spray his mouth with Glen 20 if he thought you coughed near him, lazy, short pissant…(true story about the Glen 20…even DonaldDumbfuck didn’t purport such innoculations against germophobia)…moral of the story is, Thailand wouldn’t have been an ideal destination for the last 18 months
+ I also recognise the attraction of a decentralised currency system?
“Also Toiletboss, if you drop by tonight: how good’s the schadenfreude getting Port Scum’ arses handed to them? (And have you gotten over the 2017 grand final yet? It was a surprise when it happened but the form stood up over the next few years.)”
Hahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Tigers deserved that win, Crows possibly got ahead of themselves in the most important game of that season, but nowhere near as self-affirmnative as the Port Scum on Saturday night just gone.
I enjoyed that as much as the 119 point loss to Geelong in their last GF.
Hahahahahahahahaha
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Not just a loss…a fucking evisceration which renders them open to their erstwhile CHOKERS nomenclature, forever!
It would be interesting, but that is a verifiably untrue assertion.
I think it is generally true that “the left” favors the jab more than “the right” But of course there are exceptions.
“Nice to see you back toiletdude, been missing you here. Hope you are making hay while people are panicking about toilet paper.”
Nice to see you too brother! I’ve had to refamiliarise myself with Adelaide again in recent times as the (no longer) youngster is up there at Uni Adelaide for a protracted period. Bowden was an industrial wasteland in early 2000’s, when I left…very different now, I’ve learned.
As always, the company is making hay while dumbfounded dipshits panic buy arsewiping materials, but that doesn’t trickle down. Having said that, it is good for business and ultimately job security. I think we’ll be around for a long while; which suits me.
Marshall came down earlier this year, amidst much pomp and ceremony. Despite the wank about talking to the techs, it was a stage managed wankfest of obscene proportions…as was expected.
Once again though, lucky to have a job…especially a stable, well remunerated job.
I see Iron Maiden released a new album! I can’t believe they’re still alive. Senjutsu?
No surprises that my favourite tracks are Number Of The Beast and Run To The Hills.
“I think it is generally true that “the left” favors the jab more than “the right” But of course there are exceptions.”
That may depend a lot upon what you watch and whom you encounter each day Neil (seriously).
I work with majority conservative people, soft right at least. Only the confused, susceptible ones are antivaxx.
Plenty of kooky leftist are antivaxx also.
Look at polls of vaccine acceptance across the population…the majority is large, much more demonstrable than the political divide.
It was you, not me, who proclaimed that “people from one side of politics are all for the vaccine while people from the other side of politics are suspicious of the vaccine”…I realise it’s kinda semantics, but words are important.
I would contend that ‘sensible people, who aren’t tragically politically beholden, will steer towards good, substantiated advice from those who are recognised experts in their field; therefore, the benefits of vaccination are virtually incontestible. Thus, a majority of people, politics aside, recognise the public health benefits of vaccination’.
Do you disagree with this?
” a Federal ICAC should have been legislated years ago …”
There’s only one reason it hasn’t been…and that’s bipartisan.
“The most vile people in the world are moralising puritans – especially the woke cunts driving cancel culture.”
I agree with the thrust of this, hyperbole aside.
But cancel culture has been abhorrently assimilated by both sides; it’s not an exclusive article of ‘teh left’.
As someone who likes to have an often unpopular enunciated opinion, I am repelled by the thin skinned and perpetually aggrieved. They’re definitley not a function of a particular political class.
My florid language and nuanced statements can regularly be misinterpreted by woke warriors, so I say fuck them.
Go after me for real crimes, not perceived thought crimes.
“He saw Biden coming!”
Surely you recognise the same in the former guy?
You seem to generally reasonable to venerate such idiocy and kleptocratic ignorance.
OK i was too hard line. I think in general “the left” is more pro vax than “the right” with some major exceptions. I suspect The Greens could be anti vax
In this case the conspiracy theorists seem to be mainly from “the right”
I think “the right” do not like it because it is forced. And the vaccine has been developed very quickly. In some sense we could be the guinea pigs for this vaccine. I am not anti-vax but i am suspicious of this vaccine
I am getting my first jab tomorrow. Booked in at 12.30PM. I am hoping getting the jab may make it easier to leave Sydney
+ too
“Did you see that the anti vaxers are going to focus their attention on a spot near Byron Bay & Nimbin?
A greens and alternative medicine area, perfect for those wackos”
Some contemporary evidence that it’s not just teh left who are sceptical of vaxx I’d say, Neil, wouldn’t you?
Alternative medicine grinds my fucking gears.
“And for the record, this left/right shit annoys me …”
I’m used to it, I suppose.
But it does demonstrate cluttered thinking.
Partisan is fine. I can be as parochial as anyone…but it seems to invite a reflexive dismissal of the faults to potentially be found in one’s own preferred way of thinking. I don’t think that’s philosophically healthy in th long run.
“I watched my father die, painfully, and ignominiously, of emphysema, because of my sister’s insistence of palliative care in a catholic hospital … it was one of the most awful things I’ve ever seen, and I hated the old bugger for beating my Mum and me …”
Common sense and popular approval prevailed over religious adherence, here in SA this year, TB.
I hope your state joins us.
My 92 yo great grandmother died a fortnight after her pfizer vax in April. She chose to be vaxxed, but was immuno-suppressed. The horrible part was my mother having to sleep next to her bedside for a week until she eked out her end. Disturbing and unnecessary.
Surely, as individuals we own our own lives? and the dignity of our own deaths, when warranted?
The religious argument is spurious and instantly dismissable, imho.
Also, if you don’t want VAD, don’t have it…it’s like abortion…a fucking choice!
“It breaks a fundamental tenet of society, that human life is sacrosanct,”
That sounds like a total lack of nuance and respect for individual determinations over one’s own life or death, which should be sacrosanct.
“This is far more serious than anything happened on January 6”
Seems like good judgement to me.
What would you think if an enraged Obama, or senile Biden (I know you guys already think he’s senile, but somehow Trump barely able to drink a glass of water or walk down a ramp unaided isn’t) was rattling juclear sabres on his way out of office?
Exposes flaws in the US system, if you ask me; partisan politics aside.
Toilet
I have received junk mail twice from Clive Palmer saying these vaccines have not been tested as properly as previous vaccines. Mainly because they were needed quickly. Craig Kelly also appears to be worried about these vaccines.
I don’t think i could quote a single ALP leader saying anything bad about these vaccines
“Well the lack of privacy is getting worse. Got tested for the virus today and they wanted my Medicare card number which i did not have. They are starting a govt database”
I opted out (such things should be opt in, not opt out) of the national medical database several years ago.
Not because I can’t see the benefits of integrating all of that information for quick access between medical professionals…but because I don’t think our government can keep such personal data secure, or avoid onselling it to private health insurers in the future.
I also opted out blood relations in the industry, at their request.
I believe the UK version was flawed and abandoned, then Australia did it anyway.
I’d rather have a personal, private relationship with my GP.
As for the Medicare number for testing. That doesn’t bother me at all.
Therein lies your quandary, Neil.
Craig Kelly is about as credible as sundry other agitators trying to harness the confused and ignorant.
For all his ridiculous diffusions, he’s easily and regularly debunked.
Why do you think he’s the new hood ornament on Clive’s Tardmobile?
Also, he’s spamming everyone, in the (probably realistic) hope of getting traction amongst a proudly misinformed subset of the electorate at large.
Bowden was an industrial wasteland in early 2000’s,
I remember it from the 80’s and early 90’s, a thriving Industrial center, and plenty of fun on the sides. The place looks like a yuppy goldmine now. Pretty sure my son will end up moving in there before too long 🙂
No surprises that my favourite tracks are Number Of The Beast and Run To The Hills.
Still their best numbers, (although my ultimate fave is Hallowed be they name), but some on the new one have me mesmerized. But, like most of their later material, it takes some listening to get under the skin of it, it sounds bland to me at first sitting. Stratego and The Parchment are the standouts for me to date
But cancel culture has been abhorrently assimilated by both sides
Very much so. I prefer a more relaxed access to materials, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. Nazi sentiments at the top. I have no issue with the materials and history being told, but to try and pretend that the Nazis were anything but an abhorrent stain is beyond me, and anyone espousing that deserves their treatment.
Surely, as individuals we own our own lives? and the dignity of our own deaths, when warranted?
Yes. I had always been of the opinion people can do what they want, but after watching similar, I categorize anyone trying to stop people escaping a futile life of senseless pain with the Nazis mentioned above. What amazes me is these are most often those who believe in a ‘loving’ and ‘caring’ ‘dog’ who according to the fairy tale, is doing it all on purpose?
I believe the UK version was flawed and abandoned, then Australia did it anyway.
I also believe they got the same people in to do it 😦
I don’t think i could quote a single ALP leader saying anything bad about these vaccines
Perhaps they aren’t Just Fuckheads?
“to try and pretend that the Nazis were anything but an abhorrent stain is beyond me”
Strongly agree.
“Pretty sure my son will end up moving in there before too long”
I pay rent for an apartment there, it’s more than my mortgage, but next year I am off the hook when Dr Jr turns 22, apparently.
Fucking difficult to support a student for years after school, but you do what ya gotta do as a parent. She’ll be a great doctor in a few years, and the world needs more, great doctors who.ll stay in the regions.
Makes me so fucking proud of my mum, for doing it at 40 yo, and so fucking proud of my daughter, for following her.
Also, TomR, had some decent meals there recently, but the prices at foodland were incomprehensible.
I love the stormtrooper bovine on the corner. Stayed in airbnb nearby.
Watchya think of Mandalorian?
I don’t think i could quote a single ALP leader saying anything bad about these vaccines
Perhaps they aren’t Just Fuckheads?
So you agree with my main point that “the left” is more in favor of the vaccine than “”the right””
Plus i still say govts both State and Federal are mainly following Public Service advice during the pandemic. Not sure what your point was with a link saying the Unions could not understand by State and Federal govts did not allow more people to work at home..
Probably check what the Unions are saying too, kneel.
O’Keefe music foundation does amazing covers of 80\90’s metal songs, played by virtuoso kids…really fucking cool channel
Anyone who watched and enjoyed Lost Boys, would probably feel the vibe here?
It’s like Neil and kneel are a different typist?
However, I fear they are not…
More importantly, I fear that they are representative of the prevailing, inquiring sentiment of things which aren’t actually legitimately disputed, and things which are marginally targeted by the politically cynical, which enrapture the kneels of Australia (little lone) let alone the world?
What time are all Y’all around nowadays?
I’d love to joust or just shoot the shit.
I was so fucking happy that so many here are still upright and active.
“Plus i still say govts both State and Federal are mainly following Public Service advice during the pandemic.”
Long may it reign!
Imagine if the ignornat, vaxxluddite people got ahold of the controls?!
46 and 2 , apparently…
Long may it reign!
Imagine if the ignornat, vaxxluddite people got ahold of the controls?!
I think that was my point. Govts are just following health advice. It would be a brave or stupid govt that went against health advice. TomR was trying to make out with his links that things would be different if Labor was in power.
Makes me so fucking proud of my mum, for doing it at 40 yo, and so fucking proud of my daughter, for following her.
So you should be. Kids can do that to you. Mine do it for me too, even none as yet have gone to uni, they are steering their own path, far more successfully than I did at that age
Watchya think of Mandalorian
Loved it. Especially the scene with the stormtroopers trying to shoot the can while they were hanging out bored lol
What time are all Y’all around nowadays?
I am erratic. Work hours I can sometimes switch between, and after hours, depends on family more than anything.
I see that our successful subs program has just been snatched from the French, and handed to the ever hungry US war machine.
And, are they nuclear now?
Either way, more jobs from the workers, to the boys
For once i think i agree with Keating.
Hear! Hear! PJK!
(And well said, Kneel)
Our none nuclear protocols just blown out of the water* (pun intended) by our peace, hope, love and prayers Prime Mininster.
Despite the burbling from Biden, Johnson and Morriscum that they would not be nuclear armed … as if the Chinese would believe that!!! Cause I don’t …
Every fucking generation in this country has to go to war somewhere in the world with the USA, it seems. If you don’t believe me, check out the medals worn on Anzac Day – or ask the wearers …
Keep this crap up and the war will come to us. God help us all! (sarc intended!)
If we have to have submarines why can’t we be a little different?? Diesel subs which can do things that nucs cannot. I guess the French sub program was going nowhere and was too expensive. But the Japs make diesel subs.
Its like the NBN. Why go for the biggest and fastest?? Be a little different.
“(And well said, Kneel)”
Uh oh. Chimp Kneel and Chimp TB are back fellating each other!
And they are both wrong. Almost every statement in Keating’s letter is ridiculous.
Australia’s defence force needs to get back to the basic idea that it is a force of real warriors, not social justice warriors. It’s main recruiting pitch should be something better than free surgery and drugs for the gender dysphoric.
a force of real warriors,
Being able to build and supply our own weaponry is, according to some, the greatest defense we had in WW1 and WW2
We have truly lost that capacity. We have at the same time lost the capacity to make our own decisions. We are now tied, mouth the arse, to the American War Machine.
I wonder, do you support the murder of innocents, as (allegedly) occurred in Afghanistan, by our soldiers, as a force of real warriors,?
“We have truly lost that capacity.”
Yes. We need to be able to build nuclear weapons and a delivery system to deter foreign aggressors. The we might be able to afford a more independent foreign policy.
“I wonder, do you support the murder of innocents”
Do you enjoy eating babies for breakfast?
Do you enjoy eating babies for breakfast?
You were the one claiming we need ” to get back to the basic idea that it is a force of real warriors, not social justice warriors” I just wanted to find out where that is?
We HAD capacity. It didn’t need to be nuclear. Collins class showed it could defeat nuclear, that it could operate on a level field. But we gave that away, all because … [insert range of reasons here]? (mine is Unions==BOO)
Collins class showed it could defeat nuclear,
When did this happen?? Maybe in war games but real war is not a game.
For once i agree with Keating. If we had trouble building and maintaining diesels we could not do nucs. We will forever be relying on the USA and i don’t think the USA is a reliable ally. They only got involved in WW2 because they were attacked.
But the French diesel subs always sounded like a bad idea even from people who know nothing about submarines like me. The Japanese diesel subs sounded like the way to go.
I really would like to know who idea it was to go with French submarines??
Maybe in war games but real war is not a game.
facepalm
Why the facepalm?? In a real war people are stressed out and under pressure may perform differently than in a simulation.
But whose idea do you think it was to go with the French subs?? Do you think it was Departmental advice or Turnbull likes the French??
I guess the Chinese can be glad that they are not the only country that morrison can piss off?
What have the French ever done for us???
Do you remember WW1 or WW2 nil?
Vacuous airhead of the week:
… the basic idea that it is a force of real warriors …
And you served when and where?
https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/2021/09/16/christian-porter-blind-trust/
This should be interesting, will our “fearless” leader actually show some balls or remain the “fearful wannabe”?
“And you served when and where?”
why do you ask?
Because you seem to know so much about the military … its a simple question …
Beware becoming the 51st state of the good ol’ USofA … logic is blindly missing …
“Because you seem to know so much about the military”
Why, thank you for the complement.
Yep, the Democrats, the party of slavery, have struck again. Can’t have no ungrateful black wander off the plantation and not stick to the party line. Californians need a hypocritical white wanker to rule them and they gonna get it good and hard!
WHADDA WE WANT….??!!

WHENNA WE WANNIT…..??!!!
NOW…!!

To be fair reb, when you are working outside in the heat or the cold, a rest with shelter is pretty important from an OHS viewpoint.
Fair point.
Sorry to spoil the fun 😉
Why, thank you for the complement.
🙄 … as ToM would say, I think you meant “compliment”
So, which branch of the ADF did you serve in? 😉
Yeah! It was about 26° in Melbourne, so no wonder they wanted to shelter from the weather!
ohohs, mr oh&s himself is here
probably best they wait until it’s raining, or 40 degrees, before they do anything, hey mr oh&s
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
I thought TB was Mr OH&S.
It’s all so fucking confusing.
OHS?
Yes, it’s so much safer to eat lunch in the middle of a busy road
TB: ” … as ToM would say, I think you meant “compliment””
Also TB (in full stinking hypocrite mode): “As has been explained before here (I know you are a relative newcomer) we are typos all victims of typos …”
Indeed. Are we not typos? We are typos all! 🙂
I thought TB was Mr OH&S.
Fuck off, reb! Now you’re starting to sound like my family!
And i was not happy for The Miniter to climb on the roof and clean the fucking solar panels!
I told her pensioners just got a pay rise $5.50 a week! We could afford to pay … but I like ebay … so …

Meanwhile Australians are denied entry into France, Aotearoa, Indonesia, all Pacific Island Nations and Western Australia.
In other related news, the fourth nuclear reactor has been completed and the enrichment plants in two states are now up and running. They will eventually replace the coal plants refurbished during ex-PM Sir Scott Morrison’s 30 year reign as Lord Archbishop of Australia.
Note: Acid rain is predicted for Monday Tuesday and Wednesday

Dan’s plan for our way out of lockdown
I just noticed this is my first winter without coming down with a cold. I usually sneeze and cough all winter sometimes. I think it is because of social distancing we no longer transfer flu viruses. I think this can be bad.
Catching a mild form of the flu means your body builds up immunity so when a more deadly virus comes along the body can deal with it. When we come out of lockdown we may all come out with a weakened immune system
BREAKING: Another big win for Christian Porter!

BREAKING: Another big win for Christian Porter!
But still in parliament!
The good news is that Angus Taylor will take up the portfolio – Industry, Innovation and Science … now what could go wrong with that? 🙄
These buggers are a slippery as
I just noticed this is my first winter without coming down with a cold.
And the first time you had a Covid vaccination! 😁
Next year get the flu needle!
NSW should tell Scotty about submarine drones … @ $96 billion for (how many?) new subs … you could buy thousands of drone submarines!!
TB
I have not been vaccinated yet. I have given in and am scheduled to get the jab on Tuesday afternoon.
Actually i was booked in last Thursday but a disaster occurred so it was rescheduled to the following Tuesday
But i think all this handwashing and social distancing is generating a population with a weakened immune system. We no longer get the mild flu we used to get every winter which generates antibodies against similar viruses.
Kneel, I haven’t had a flu for decades – seriously! But I get a flu needle every year … you should try it – had one this year too!
I like to try and build up a natural resistance and not rely on drugs or vaccines unless it is really necessary
Our journos may be beginning to feel how the French, and the Australian voters, are feeling
No worries, just collateral damage, all good.
https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/age-photographer-capsicum-sprayed-by-police-during-protest-20210919-p58sx7.html
I see kangaroo court is testing the limits against the minister now known simply as the “alleged rapist”, after the “alleged rapist” blames …. twitter for his fall from grace.
In yet another further example of the hateful psychopathic misogyny that courses through his veins, Porter also chose to use his resignation statement to spread deeply disturbing and venomous lies about the now-deceased victim he allegedly “brutally” raped on multiple occasions on one evening in Sydney in 1988.
https://truecrimenewsweekly.com/the-twitter-mob-is-to-blame-for-my-corruption-alleged-rapist-christian-porter-resigns-from-cabinet-over-so-called-blind-trust-after-true-crime-expose/
No worries, just collateral damage, all good.
They didn’t get the moniker ‘pigs’ for nothing tosy.
Just heard this photographer on radio. He had three cameras around his neck, his credentials were prominent, he wasn’t among protesters, and was shouting ‘media’. He says the cops sprayed him anyway even though it couldn’t have been more obvious he was a legitimate journalist.
Great work Vic Pol.
Nice to see your concern now it’s about people fighting for their right to endanger other people in the midst of a health pandemic. It would be nice if this had been extended to those demonstrating against black deaths, climate change or our treatment of refugees (to name a few)
But nice to see you finally getting a social ‘conscience’ 😉
https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/europe-news/2021/09/20/la-palma-volcano/
Love the headline … Residents Flea … LOL!
But nice to see you finally getting a social ‘conscience’ 😉
You worry about your issues and I’ll worry about mine. (Nice to see you’re still a trolling cu*t)
Yes, last year Victoria Police really screwed up their relationship with the public.
They are continuing to demonstrate that they are the same dull bullies they always have been
they always have been
Victoria Police default to heavy handed tactics when dealing with any issue or protest that is inconsistent with the orientation of the state government
They consider on everything else
Pretty sure our ‘journalists’ won’t look further than skin deep into this, just report it as “Unions = BOO”
…They go soft on everything else
that is inconsistent with the orientation of the state government
lols yomm
This is the same police force who told the state government to fuck off when asked to run the Quarantine program. Yea, they’re just a puppet ROFL
Looks like Setka’s upset the rank and file.
In case anyone’s not sure what they’re angry about, watch this. (Hint, it’s the baccine mandate for construction workers.)
It got a bit violent I mean spirited, too. Note the absence of any police at this “super spreader event”.
Apparently the ‘angry mob’ protesting the ‘baccine’ mandate were not in fact CFMEU members or construction workers, but a bunch of right-wing fascists that just happened to be in the area and conveniently disguised as ‘construction workers’ in high-vis gear and steel boots.
One of them kicked a dog. what kind of cnut does that..?
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
She looks nice.
That’s Fifi!
Jeeze Tom, she’s let herself go a bit …. 😯
There’s a lot of ppl on the Twitter saying that the angry mob was not in fact made up of construction workers or CFMEU members but ppl who came cleverly disguised as them.
Does that explain the six cops in hospital after the anti lock-down fracas?
I heard one reporter – “at the scene” – say, “these people are not here to protest, they’re here to attack the police …” and I’m pretty sure I heard someone calling “open the libraries” over and over …
What would I know … beautiful one day, perfect the next … ahhhhha
This Nazi fifth column shit may be exciting for some … I suggest you look to the wider world community for your answer …
Apparently the ‘angry mob’ protesting the ‘baccine’ mandate were not in fact CFMEU members or construction workers, but a bunch of right-wing fascists that just happened to be in the area and conveniently disguised as ‘construction workers’ in high-vis gear and steel boots.
Really? Then why did John Setka not call them out?. He would recognise imposters in the ranks. Instead he just stood there and tried to appease them. I call bullshit on that talking point.
’baccine’
Ooh gee, you got me on that one. The b is next to the v on my keyboard, but whatever.
It was kind of meant to be a joke.
Then why did John Setka not call them out?
Being a professional dance instructor can take a toll.
And of course all those people were right wing imposters! Because those guys are always so good at secretly organising protests and catching the police unprepared.
It was very clever of them to get more along to the secret one than to the one over the weekend!
As always the smart people at the ACTU were on to them!
I’m sure the Keystone Kops I mean Victoria Police will release their intelligence on the perpetrators immediately. Unless of course the daid perps were actually construction workers. In which case … *crickets*.
(And of course the ‘leadership’ of the ACTU are trying to deflect the blame, having been so completely humiliated today. Give it 24 hours and the truth will out.)
*said* perps
The CFMEU blokes seem to be feeling a little sensitive.
Friday it was- “we have to eat in the fresh air. That’s an OHS problem, so we’re going to eat in the middle of a road”
By Monday it was- “they want us to have a needle! Let’s have a riot about that!”
Sensible union that one
Yeah! It wouldn’t have been the guys sitting in the middle of the road, for safety reasons! They’re too smart
Seems morrison is doing wonderfully with trade, which doesn’t bode well, considering the state of our “(im)personal data”
Europe’s trade negotiations with Australia are at risk of collapsing over France’s fury at losing a multibillion-dollar submarine deal with Canberra.
https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-australia-trade-deal-runs-aground-over-submarine-furor/
Never thought I’d see the day when rank and file CFMEU members were known as right wing extremists. But then, they can’t call themselves working class, can they, when they earn $200k a year, drive $100,000 utes, fish from boats worth a similar amount, and have holiday houses on the coast. Working class is voiceless Woolworths employees on the minimum wage.
Why is the Victorian govt threatening to shutdown the construction industry if it was right wing extremists who infiltrated the protests who were causing the problems??
It wouldn’t have been the guys sitting in the middle of the road
The CFMEU supported one, and refuted the other. Does this make any difference to you?
rank and file CFMEU members were known as right wing extremists
Not saying far right extremists don’t work on building sites, but, there were multiple people spotting the crowd, and the number of known union members there was small
Ok so we have to differentiate between the “CFMEU ” and the “CFMEU members acting as a collective, and making demands”
Fingers crossed they’ll think about us, and not morrison
Seems morrison is doing wonderfully with trade, which doesn’t bode well, considering the state of our “(im)personal data”
You could blame Rudd/ALP. Rudd produced a White paper saying we needed 12 submarines. But that was it. What colour?? Blue, pink or purple?? Who builds the subs etc etc etc.
It was left to the incoming Coalition govt handed the Rudd/ALP mess to handle. Ok they failed but at least they tried and failed unlike Rudd/ALP
Rukshan Fernando, Avi Yemini, Peter Little, Lizzy Rose, Matt Lawson, Trina Eldering
Wow some people there reporting what was happening?? How violent were they??
Think you’ll find the CFMEU management, Vic Police, and the Andrews Labor govt are all ‘the establishment’. The CFMEU members are feeling betrayed by the establishment and aren’t going to take it any more.
“CFMEU members acting as a collective
lol, half the asshats there were having a go a ‘commies’ ffs ROFL
If we didn’t need any more evidence that this was far right extremists, and not Unionists, the lolstrayan is supporting them.
Yeah! Those right wing types were just foxing when they had that hopelessly organised protest on the weekend!
The couple of hundred there were just having a training run before the big one at the CFMEU offices
“lol”
“lol”
Lol at the winged monkeys of the establishment twisting themselves in knots trying to blame the unrest on right wing extremists. It’s a good try but it ain’t gonna work because it doesn’t end here. If the govt shuts down construction, hell will have no fury like a construction worker scorned.
It was a sleeper cell of qanon, secretly signalling each other with white supremacy ok symbols, shll the while accumulating hi-viz vests, redwing boots, CFMEU puffer jackets, arranging an assembly outside the union office over Trumps new social media network, then assuming the identity of village people construction workers so convincingly that John Setka conceded the stage to them, and VicPol stayed at a safe distance for seven hours. Their mastermind puts Dr Evil to shame.
This might explain the situation to non-Victorian readers:
Sally McManus just now: “There were definitely union members there, I don’t think anyone’s denying that.”
Akso: “What we would say to workers is go and get vaccinated.”
603 cases in Victoria today, the highest number since Dan’s short, sharp, 7-day lockdown was announced seven weeks ago.
It’s hilarious the way the left apologists are blaming the right wing for this protest!
Those people couldn’t even figure out how to get a thousand people to an organised protest over the weekend!
But they are capable of getting a couple of thousand construction industry types to the CFMEU with an hours notice!
Dumb left apologists have proven to be as dumb as the right conspiracy theorists
Also Sally McManus just now 😉
It’s hilarious the way the left apologists are blaming the right wing for this protest!
Also from Sally McManus timeline
If I didn’t know how hopeless yomm was with a kindle, I’d almost be convinced he was behind it all 😉
Hilarious!
So now rank and file CFMEU members are right wing extremists!
And so are the most vocal anti vaxers!
Thanks Sally!
I remember when Tom R insisted that they were all Trump supporting types
There are messages on twitter today among anti-lockdown types: Unless you have a union card do not go to the protest today, you’ll fall into their trap.
PRGuy is a Labor Party operative, in case there’s anyone who still doesn’t know. He’s part of the establishment that union members are rebelling against.
John Setka just now: Not in office today and building industry closed so not much point opening up.
Setka: We’ve got 30,000 members. I’m not going to pander to a small drunken minority of our members. It was a drunken bunch of hoons.
Also: We’ve got video of people throwing bottles and they won’t have a job in the construction industry, they can go and pick fruit.
So Setka is threatening to get people who “aren’t even in the construction industry” sacked from their jobs in the construction industry because of their violent actions yesterday.
That’ll help calm things down.
So the coalition of anti vaxers is-
* Green alternative medicine types
* Trump supporting conspiracy theorists
* CFMEU members
So now rank and file CFMEU members are right wing extremists!
Of course some may be. I mean, liberal party elected officials are right wing extremists too. They live among us.
But trying to tar the likes of the CFMEU is an old trick practiced by another group of infamous right wing extremists, and you are helping them with misleading propaganda.
History may not be kind to you 😉
It’s desperate when a wife beater is quoted as a credible source
Actual transcript(!) of John Setka on 3AW this morning:
“Let me tell you, some of them aren’t going to have a job to come back to after this lockdown is over,” he said on 3AW.
Seems pretty clear cut who John Setka thinks were “throwing bottles of alcohol and damaging union property”.
It’s no secret that to get a job on most construction sites around Melbourne you have to pay the shop steward the first 3months of your pay. So I guess it follows that the union also has the power to get you sacked.
It’s also well known that many, probably most, of the people at the riot were rent a crowd.
Right Wing agitators, who the government have been warned about for years, but who still did nothing, even after one of them went overseas and slaughtered innocents.
And we have people here pushing the ‘manbaby nazis’ line for them. It’s very telling
So Setka’s going to get rent-a-crowd people the sack? Interesting.
I guess the tea room protesters were rent-a-crowd too? Because of course union members would’ve take militant action.
“It’s also well known”
This statement inevitably precedes unsubstantiated bullshit.
So maybe Tom R can explain how rent a crowd were able to mobilise for the CFMEU riot but not a right wing protest
Andrews not fronting the press conference this morning. I guess he’s got better things to do than “speak to” (🙄) the protests.
but not a right wing protest
These ones?
Manifesto:
Uh oh, police manoeuvring to try and surround protestors. So far it’s been peaceful but these tactics are sure to inflame things.
There’s a name for Setka and McManus trying to claim the protesters were right-wing extremists. It’s called “gaslighting”.
Take a look at this from the first race at Kyneton. Bucking bronco stuff!
Dan caught out in a blatant lie. Again! #gotothevideo
That’s hilarious! Dan is a liar
It’s so embarrassing for the left that the CFMEU has a large bunch of dull crazy anti vaxer conspiracy theorists among their membership
among their membership
You keep saying that, but all evidence to date shows the agitators are not members. Why do you keep making shit up?
What is a far-right activist??
Really. I saw a video today with many of the people passing the camera showing things that looked to be membership cards.
An acquaintance yesterday reported that many workers had knocked off to attend the protest, and if I could be bothered I’m sure I could find a report about that.
Do you think all those that had lunch in the middle of the road on Friday have just copped this and stayed home?
I mean, you could always just provide the evidence yomm. It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s just that so many of your unsourced statements turn out to be ….. well, putting it colloquially, BULLSHIT!
What is a far-right activist??
People like you, but with more than one neuron firing at once, but rarely more than two
Reading this thread, tosy and yomm seem to fit the bill
Not everyone believes Murdoch BS …

LINK?
An acquaintance yesterday reported that many workers had knocked off to attend the protest, and if I could be bothered I’m sure I could find a report about that.
You always were a lazy gossip troll, ToM … I saw a pig blown about by the fkn wind here today! In a Hogs Breath wrapper!
Do you think all those that had lunch in the middle of the road on Friday have just copped this and stayed home?
Did you notice anything about the difference in protests?
And FYI unionists do not go out easily … they have families to feed!
The protesters today chanted “every day”, meaning while they are banned from working they are going to protest in the city every day. Since only say 50 out of maybe 2000 were arrested, I’m tipping the numbers will be larger tomorrow, and may unleash the groundswell that already exists. Meanwhile Dan Andrews has gone into hiding.
Andrews’s glib line that “protests don’t work against this virus” won’t stop people protesting. In fact it just shows he’s not listening to them – which, of course, will only fire them up more.
Not everyone believes Murdoch BS …
Then …
Shows the difference between the sides of politics. If a Conservative politician had painted his face black he would be called a racist and accused of mocking black people.
“Meanwhile Dan Andrews has gone into hiding.”
Whereas the PM is where…..??
😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Given that neither is out and about, I assume they are working productively together behind closed doors for the benefit of the citizenry. I’m sure that the Stairman and Scummo are working together without rancour, without point-scoring, without a thought to focus groups and purely for our benefit.
Whereas the PM is where…..??
Washington?
Sleepy Joe doesn’t remember meeting That Guy From Down Under.
The EU certainly remember him
It’s lawlessness from the construction industry. The CFMEU has lost control of the monster it created
They have always treated regulation as optional, and now there is no respect for law in significant parts of their membership
They’ve switched to listening to different militant nut cases
The earthquake was mad here
Waiting to see if there’s an aftershock
The CFMEU has lost control of the monster it created
Still awaiting those links yomm 😉
You know, like how there are heaps of links showing non union agitators, but … not so many Union ones??
And, the libs are supporting ‘alleged’ unionists? That’s just, well, more than weird.
The earthquake was mad here
No one hurt or stuff damaged I hope?
Yesterday I had an interesting conversation with a former senior official that had a long career with a construction union, not the CFMEU
Yes, some of those types still talk to me!
His view is that that there is an element in the CFMEU that are deeply anti authority, conspiracy theorists and have a lot in common with the right wing conspiracy theorists.
I think we agreed on about 80% of the factors.
No link
Noone hurt here or at all afaik.
Victoria 628 new cases. Great lockdown Dan, it’s really working out.
Noone hurt here or at all afaik.
Good to hear. I heard from a few others in Melbourne who were more like “how cool was that” lol
Let’s just hope no “Construction workers” got their hi vis gear dirty during it 😉
Tom R you should pop over to the CFMEU Vic/Tas branch Facebook site and tell the blokes there that they’re fake tradies.
I was just having a scroll through a few of the thousand comments. Not much support for the leaders of the union.
Here’s an example from the CFMEU site…
“An the boss of the union had the nerve to say he doesn’t no these blokes there professional protesters bro I ain’t no blind man clearly all your boys who put down tools to come for your ass. You are gutless ”
That looks like the grammar and sentiment of a CFMEU member
up the top of the ‘site’ yomm, there is an address, that will let other people know what yor
making upgetting yor information fromTry it, else, it’s just another example of …. yor bullshit.
So Comrade Setka is going to see to it that those demonstrators impersonating construction workers lose their jobs as construction workers.
I’m sure you can search for CFMEU Vic/Tas branch
Let me know what you find!
Earthquake in Melbourne … just another sign (from you know who) for SloMo to speed up End of Days …
Dan says the earthquakes will continue till 90% double vaxxed.
I’m just calling bullshit on yomm until he does his own hard yards
There’s no persuading you anyway, so I think I’ll just yank your chain a little more
Dan says the earthquakes will continue till 90% double vaxxed.
🙂
Yea yomm, cos a serial bullshit artist making up more bullshit it really ‘yanking my chain’ lols
You just keep pushing yer nazi mates lines though, feel free 😉
Did you find “CFMEU Vic/Tas branch” in your Facebook search function?
Have a look and let me know what you find!
Why would anyone want to do any business with Australia ever again?
Joe Biden says US has no closer ally than Australia, which is the standard line for all heads of friendly countries. Which means all those countries must all be at the exact same degree of closeness.
I’d be surprised if Biden even knows where Australia is. He probably thought he was talking to the head of Austria.
We’ve done a phone/text tree with Melbourne CFMEU members we know.
NOT ONE has come back with confirmation they or anyone they contacted is participating in the Melbourne riot.
No, most of them told you to go fuck yourselves instead.
Violence – check.
Threats – check.
Thuggery – check.
Criminal behaviour – check.
Yep the current demonstrations have all the hallmarks of the CFMEU crime syndicate.
CFMEU phone tree…
Hi, this is Bruno, your local CFMEU official, could you tell me whether you’re going to the protests that are calling for the dismissal of CFMEU officials?
More pesky linky things (or aew I like to call it, proof)
https://www.sbs.com.au/news/the-feed/experts-say-the-far-right-and-anti-vaxxers-are-infiltrating-industry-protests
You’re moving from desperate to nonsensical in your arguments, Tom R. The last two are irrelevant. As in it is not relevant what SBS “experts” say nor where the footage came from.
Yea, what would Xspurts know. Let’s hear another ant from yomm
Good to see you outing yourself as a nazi sympathizer too 😉
Fascinating Tom R.
Your link reports… they’ve stopped short of claiming these individuals ‘orchestrated’ the event.
Fine with me
Conspiracy theory expert Dr Kaz Ross agreed the protest was hijacked by the far-right and anti-vaxxers. Like Ms Thomas, she said further investigation is needed to determine who organised the protest.
I assume that is too then?
So school is still in session in the deep south?
Kids are on hols here.
Elise Thomas, analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, said yesterday’s protest saw a lot of “opportunists” grafting onto the movement. However, she said it’s not accurate to label the majority of protesters as far-right.
“That speaks to a broader issue that we’re seeing at the moment where the label of far-right is used to describe other people they don’t like,” Ms Thomas said.
“There are objectionable people who are not far-right. There is very little evidence that yesterday’s protest was coordinated by the far-right.”
Further investigation hardly proves you point.
I’m happy to say the anti vaxer coalition includes-
* Trump style conspiracy theorists
* Green alternative medicine types
* Construction industry workers, including some members of the CFMEU
One reason some people are against this vaccine is that it is forced. Some people cannot be employed without the jab and you may not be able to get a haircut. That sort of threat annoys people.
That sort of threat annoys people.
More than dying from Covid?
Freedom don’t come free! (You have to work for it)
You do know that vaccination of the majority of people is akin to “herd immunity” that no anti vaxxers whinged about …
Herd immunity = high death rate …. vaccination = lower death rate – and not clogging up hospitals and creating stressed/tired staff …
ie vaccination ain’t selfish … herd immunity IS!
Another reason some people are against the vaccine is that it has been rushed. PLus a couple of them use a different technology than previous vaccines
I think the AZ vaccine uses the normal procedure for producing vaccines
including some members of the CFMEU
lols, anti -vaxxers include “some members of ” [every group you can name] (thanks in large to a couple of decades of anti science push from right wing political parties
But the storming of a Union headquarters was not done by Union members, it was done by fascists, and then dissembled by their sympathisers (looking at you yomm).
Yeah, photoshop much?
I’m wondering when the shrine of remembrance became this hallowed, sacred place where ordinary citizens can’t gather unless they wear their official RSL merchandise Gallipoli beads and sing songs to dead soldiers from the ANZAC hymn book. It’s a public place adjacent the botanical gardens and St Kilda Rd ffs, and should (does) allow entry to all comers.
This pretend glorification and feigned outrage over a stone monument today for political purposes is quite ridiculous. Which is not to say I don’t acknowledge and respect what generations of Australians in uniform have done, including ancestors of mine, but this is a building. A symbol, perhaps, but just a building. I’ve heard people here explain how a flag is just a piece of cloth. Same argument.
Hilarious! Everyone with any knowledge of the construction industry knows that the many of the CBD sites got the sh*ts and had lunch in the middle of the road. That was Friday.
On Monday many decided they hadn’t been supported by their union. And protested about that
By the way, Bill Shorten said today that the construction industry has the highest rate of vaccination hesitancy.
Yeah, photoshop much?
The video is so professional too … 🙄
Same argument.
Yep … dumb.
Which video? Oh, you mean thisvideo:
That was Friday.
“The CFMEU supported one, and refuted the other. Does this make any difference to you?”
(yes, I’m repeating myself, but that’s because yor arguments are circular, and stupid)
Yep, any image you don’t like is photoshopped isn’t it. The same way all the hi vis gear was photoshopped clean, and like the hands in that last video, an office workers hands on a building site 😉
The cops are out of control!
pigs will be pigs tosy. Finally you agree 😉
Interesting comment right at the end of the video in this article. Not one outbreak from a gold pass Union work site.
Again, it’s the building industry who dropped the ball, so of course the union gets blamed
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-23/melbourne-protests-covid-lockdown-vaccine-contradictions/100482826
1. CFMEU has created a lawless monster they cannot control.
2. There are so many examples of heavy handed policing that seem to be overlooked
3. The anti vaxer coalition is made up of Trump style conspiracy theorists, Green alternative medicine types and construction industry workers. It is deliberately ignorant to excuse any of them
“Yep, any image you don’t like is photoshopped isn’t it. “
This demonstration has brought out the worst in you. Once a master troll, you’ve become so desperate you just pile on stupidity after stupidity – like that that photo is real. But hey, you do you – first with the left hand then with the right.
766 new cases in Vic today. Should hit 1,000 by next week. The 7 day short, sharp lockdown is in its seventh week. And in total Vic is world champion!
The allegation that far right people are joining the protests sounds like leftist spin. There may be one or two examples and then try and make out the vast majority of protestors are infiltrators. This comment sounds more accurate to me
That speaks to a broader issue that we’re seeing at the moment where the label of far-right is used to describe other people they don’t like,” Ms Thomas said.
“There are objectionable people who are not far-right. There is very little evidence that yesterday’s protest was coordinated by the far-right.
They keep calling them “violent protesters. Seems most of the violence was coming from police.
“They keep calling them “violent protesters. Seems most of the violence was coming from police.”
Victoria’s coward cops are the worst – bashing grannies and shooting people in the back is how those mongrels get off. Unless the demonstration is approved by Stairman Dan in which case they just take the knee. That’s life under a left-wing tyrant. Not much different to Venezuela really.
Meanwhile back in NSW Premier Gladys Gerbiliklian is desperately calling for retired health workers to return to the workforce.
Apparently she is concerned that the hospitals will be overrun when we get a bit more freedom (provided we compliantly vaccinate and carry our papers with us at all times).
Just what are they protesting at the shrine for?
I’ll never understand Mexicans …
BTW I’m organising a protest at some cathedrals – going to big …
I cannot understand some of the jungle law comments here … weird
Yea tosy, Yes, because true Union members call an LNP politician with their concerns lol
That’s life under a left-wing tyrant
Hang on, isn’t Setka a right winger now? it’s all very confusing, But I’m surprised to see you joining the list of nazi sympathizers splats. 2021 is surely delivering.
I also saw that our pm is following along watching the unfolding events, on the anti vaxxers timelines. What a year
Yes, because true Union members call an LNP politician with their concerns lol
Check again, he’s not LNP!
LOLZ
Tom R is usually quite good at defending the indefensible.
This one is too much, even for him
doh, liberal democrats, is there a difference?
yomm keeps making shit up, and then thinking others are indefensible
Nice 😉
I mean, I have supplied a lot of evidence that it is nothing to do with Unions, you have said a lot of garbage. You really are going full fascist aren’t you
I mean, what is your response to the fact that gold standard Union building sites had no cases of Covid yomm? Doesn’t fit your scenario too well, does it
And, OUCH
https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/how-it-expert-harrison-mclean-helped-to-plan-melbourne-freedom-rally/news-story/7368f1ff11891b2e272be67086b09ea2
“doh, liberal democrats, is there a difference?”
You really are off your game today, old son. What’s the matter? Can’t get your mind off Fifi?
“I have supplied a lot of evidence that it is nothing to do with Unions”
Nothing???? Not even close. What is your evidence of this “nothing”? Hearsay and photoshop?
oh fer ffs fascibum, try looking at even my last post [facepalm]
oh, and can you point out how it photoshopped, cos it’s a pretty good one in that case. Shadows and all
You haven’t come close to proving “nothing to do with unions”.
BTW, I’m not saying there is no non-union participation at all. And I’m not supporting the violent tactics employed by protesters. I am merely providing counterpoint to your idiotic claim that this has nothing to do with unions.
It seems the top government advisor on the construction industry has resigned because of the way the fovhas handled this.
I happen to be acquainted with him, and if the government has lost his support, they’ve screwed up big time
I am merely providing counterpoint to your idiotic claim that this has nothing to do with unions.
Exactly
I am merely providing counterpoint to your idiotic claim that this has nothing to do with unions.
So their denials and condemnation isn’t enough for you?
The multiple links showing far right agitators as the drivers?
The lack of any evidence showing union links?
I mean, the fact that the libs are voicing their support, or tacit support, should be enough, But I guess for some here, Nothing is enough.
And the government advisor on the construction industry has resigned due to the government’s handling of the union relationships
No comment from Tom R
I think this is more accurate reporting:
And you haven’t come close to showing that no unionists were involved as in “noting to do with”. Setka’s threat to get them sacked puts the lie to that.
a combination of CFMEU members, hardcore anti-vaxxers, far-right agitators, anarchists and angry men.
And [insert random person here]
I’ve never said NO Union members, but it isn’t driven by them, and it definitively has nothing to do with Unions, who have condemned and denied any involvement.
Unions memberships are made up of …. lots of people. I’m sure that there are financial advisors lurking among them too. Why do they not highlight that?
And you haven’t come close to showing that no unionists were involved as in “noting to do with”.
(I’m assuming that is “nothing”.)
After wading through all those comments … I don’t think TR is saying that “no unionists were involved”.
He is saying (stand to be corrected TR) that the union protests were hijacked and then controlled by right wing agitators (a la Nazi Germany techniques from the 1930’s) and later joined by a disparate group of “protesters” who just wanted to “protest” … (a la rent-a-crowd of the late 1960’s and 70’s) …
After six cops ended up in hospital I can understand why they came out in force the second time …
Create chaos and then manage it, has been around for millenia … nothing new here … just who finally manages it and how!
No correction required TB 😉
Hard to tell why this nob was sacked from his previous positions really, isn’t it?
And yes, we will be paying for this for years
Tom R:
“I’ve never said NO Union members, but it isn’t driven by them, and it definitively has nothing to do with Unions, who have condemned and denied any involvement.”
If union members were involved, how is it “nothing to do with unions”?
If what you mean is that Setka and/or union officials didn’t organise the protest, that is obvious and uncontested by anyone so why make a big deal of it?
On another note, I haven’t supported the demonstrations at all. Quite the contrary – here is what I said about them:
Yet there is some implications being made here by lying morons that I supported or sympathised with them.
I’ve never said NO Union members, but it isn’t driven by them, and it definitively has nothing to do with Unions
Yet you won’t accept that the CFMEU has facilitated an industrial culture of lack of respect for law and regulation, which they now can’t control.
Yet there is some implications being made here
like .. “all the hallmarks of the CFMEU crime syndicate.” 😉
Anyway, these thugs, closely linked to financial managers and kobo illiterates everywhere, may have had people who are union members among them, that doesn’t mean it had anything to with unions, unless financial advisors are behind all this too?
He is saying (stand to be corrected TR) that the union protests were hijacked and then controlled by right wing agitators
I doubt Union members would allow that to happen.
What seems to be happening is that wishful thinking ALP supporters want something to be true which is not
If the ABC is pushing that line we all know it is most probably wrong.
Vaccine passports are racist:
The right couldn’t even get a couple of hundred to their own protest, so a few have latched onto the construction industry workers.
What a dreadful combination
Yet you won’t accept that the CFMEU has facilitated an industrial culture of lack of respect for law and regulation, which they now can’t control.
For the slower ones at the back of the class, and …. again, to repeat myself!
“Interesting comment right at the end of the video in this article. Not one outbreak from a gold pass Union work site.”
yea, a sure of “an industrial culture of lack of respect for law and regulation”, right 😉
1. How long has the CFMEU had a policy of ohs being a matter of personal choice?
2. Any idea why the government’s top construction industry advisor resigned yesterday?
3. If the right can only get a couple of hundred to their protest, how do they manage to infiltrate and manipulate thousands in the construction industry a day later?
This is just another example is why i say ALP/Greens mislead and deceive people
The ALP is the party of deceit
How long has the CFMEU had a policy of ohs being a matter of personal choice?
“Interesting comment right at the end of the video in this article. Not one outbreak from a gold pass Union work site.”
[facepalm]
“lol”
Here’s Tom R with nonsense. How many people have caught it playing golf? Or fishing?
How many have caught it during outdoor dining? How many have caught it on a domestic building site? How many caught it while teaching their daughter to drive?
“lol”
And it’s interesting to see Tom R give comfort and wriggle room to the anti vaxers.
OK. There is a little more to it, but the headline is funny:
This cop is a fucking gutless dog of a human being (as his master):
Splatterbum
Tony posted that clip at 7.36AM
But is this Australia anymore???
sorry. Just noticed it.
And it’s interesting to see Tom R give comfort and wriggle room to the anti vaxers.
Link.
BLOODY CFMEU UNION THUGS!
Link?
Read your comment about there being no need to require vaccination on sites that meet a standard.
Anything short of mandatory gives comfort to the anti vaxers
Read your comment about there being no need to require vaccination on sites that meet a standard.
What comment? I made a comment that there have been no Covid cases on the Gold Standard Union sites, nothing about vaccinations or not. Unless you can provide a … you know … link
So should workers on EVERY site be vaccinated?
Where’s yor link yomm, or shall I just await an apology
Where’s yor link yomm, or shall I just await an apology
😏 🙄😶🙂😮😛😛😛😛😛😛
TR, ToM is a fiction writer … detailed facts and truth are irrelevant .. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
detailed facts and truth are irrelevant
And fascistbum and tosy have hopped along with his attempt at alternate reality
what is your response to the fact that gold standard Union building sites had no cases of Covid yomm? Doesn’t fit your scenario too well, does it
In other words…why should they be required to be vaccinated
But do you think workers on all sites should be required to be vaccinated? The CFMEU think it should be optional
TomR
All you are showing is that you can find evidence for anything you like to believe. Seems like the media want everybody to believe that Union members were not protesting.
Good reason not to trust the left wing media
“Kneel, I haven’t had a flu for decades – seriously! But I get a flu needle every year … you should try it – had one this year too!”
I got H1N1 a few years ago…I’ve never been so fucked up in my life. Very lucky I have someone on the inside because I got instant access to tamiflu, this made the recovery a few days instead of a week or more. Thoroughly unpleasant. Happy to describe the symptoms to anyone interested. Fucking nasty.
Get a flu vaxx, unless you’re a dickhead.
It’s not even disputable. Check out immunology, it’s a fucking thing. I know a good one (immunologist…they ain’t playin). The anti crowd would get flayed in about 30 seconds by FACTS.
OK, so I assume I’m gonna have to read back through for the comments blaming the larger membership of the CFMEU for the last few days in Victoria?
Perhaps, even the earth tremors?
I’d have to assume that the pissing on the war memorial is being deliberately ignored etc?
So much fertile ground here.
“The cops are out of control!”
1000% agree
I’ve been in a few angry crowds. Wouldn’t wanna be crowd control.
That cunt acted like someone who loved the power of guarding a door being made a police person.
I’d suggest, very unrepresentative of the VicPol in the last couple of days, and they’d hgave been tested hard.
He’ll get fucking nailed to the mast.
“Think you’ll find the CFMEU management, Vic Police, and the Andrews Labor govt are all ‘the establishment’. The CFMEU members are feeling betrayed by the establishment and aren’t going to take it any more.”
Well I’m a member, and I can only speak for what I know, but most members are moderate and vaccinated. I can’t speak for the construction branch, but I seriously doubt that those in the streets (remembering all of the other cohorts of coopting anti dipshits) represent the majority. Pretty easy to throw on a hivis shirt.
But speaking for ‘Teh Members’ is something all kinds of groups are trying to portray right now; for obvious reasons.
I sincerely feel for all y’all in Melbourne. I have friends and friends over there too. Y’all been locxked down for longer and harder than most. Ican understand the backlash.
Dos anyone really want to see the health system buckle under irreversible strain? It’s not designed for pandemics, and if it was certain people would be clamouring against the public funding of empty hospital beds, let alone ICU etc.
“Hi, this is Bruno, your local CFMEU official, could you tell me whether you’re going to the protests that are calling for the dismissal of CFMEU officials?”
Except the list of demands also included lunatic shit like unlimited supply of Ivermectin (I grew up on a farm, care to argue about that one?…it’s antiparasitic, not anti-viral, for a start) amongst other, coincidentally, fringe shit from the dipshits who’ve just been itching to go out and wreck shit for the last 12 months at least.
There’s a bit more going on here than a CFMEU power struggle, and you’re certainly intelligent enough to recognise that YomM.
“I like to try and build up a natural resistance and not rely on drugs or vaccines unless it is really necessary”
Mkay…
2020-2021 should probably qualify?
“Note the absence of any police at this “super spreader event”.
The Ol, this didn’t age well.
In other words…why should they be required to be vaccinated
You exist in an alternative universe where a human being can exist without the presence of a brain
Where, anywhere, in any comment, have I drawn a line to not being vaccinated? It was in direct response to the fact about Union Members being called anti vaxxers, by nazi sympathizers like yourself, when the facts show, the Union sites, and therefore the Union workers, are quite clearly following health guidelines, and that the cases of covid, which has forced the closure of construction sites, are coming from building sites without the complete Union coverage.
But somehow, your vaccuous skull somehow seems to think that makes them anti vaxxers?
How did you come to that conclusion yomm? I mean really. How?
(Hi tddfcpt, yes, have a read through, it’s been …. illuminating, in a really depressing manner)
“One of them kicked a dog. what kind of cnut does that..?”
I pose the same question.
I’ve seen the footage. If I witnessed that, I’d be the next person being arrested.
Piece of fucking shit.
“Hi tddfcpt, yes, have a read through, it’s been …. illuminating, in a really depressing manner”
So far, it’s been as I expected…axes to grind, political wanking…rather inaccurate? I’m looking forward to the bit where the desecrating of a War Memorial (Oi Oi Oi) gets glanced over…I haven’t quite got there yet.
But That cunt that kicked the dog though…
Reminds me of the scene from Dog Soldiers where old mate goes…”Come And Have A Go If Ya Think Ya Hard Enuff”
That shit makes my blood boil. Fucking gutless cunt.
“Really? Then why did John Setka not call them out?.”
Also didn’t age well, that’s not how the Union works brother. Organised.
Let’s see how many deadshits get back on site?
Setka can’t crack heads on live TV.
Just sayin.
(Watchya think of Mandalorian
Patience can be a virtue.)
“And of course the ‘leadership’ of the ACTU are trying to deflect the blame, having been so completely humiliated today. Give it 24 hours and the truth will out”
A few days later…
” they earn $200k a year, drive $100,000 utes, fish from boats worth a similar amount, and have holiday houses on the coast. Working class is voiceless ”
GUFFAW!
So fucking generalist!~
“Not saying far right extremists don’t work on building sites, but, there were multiple people spotting the crowd, and the number of known union members there was small”
Obvious, meet stated.
“Ok so we have to differentiate between the “CFMEU ” and the “CFMEU members acting as a collective, and making demands”
Bit bigger than Vic CFMEU, but you know that.
Try and be as specific as you can, that’s where you’ll fall into lunatic nonsense being justified as a reason to wreck shit. Trust me.
“Lol at the winged monkeys of the establishment twisting themselves in knots trying to blame the unrest on right wing extremists. It’s a good try but it ain’t gonna work because it doesn’t end here. If the govt shuts down construction, hell will have no fury like a construction worker scorned.”
Tick Tock…not fucking tik tok
“We’ve got video of people throwing bottles and they won’t have a job in the construction industry, they can go and pick fruit.”
I believe this statement…that’s how it works. Come join a strong Union, brother.
“So the coalition of anti vaxers is-
* Green alternative medicine types
* Trump supporting conspiracy theorists
* CFMEU members”
No, I really don’t think that’s a good summation at all.
Neither do you, if you are consistent.
“It’s no secret that to get a job on most construction sites around Melbourne you have to pay the shop steward the first 3months of your pay. So I guess it follows that the union also has the power to get you sacked.”
Evidence please.
I am a member of this Union.
“So Setka’s going to get rent-a-crowd people the sack? Interesting.”
Just the most easily identifiable nutcases damaging shit and promulgating lunatic shit, I’d suggest. That’s the way society works. Non members need not give a fuck.
“Manifesto”
Most embarassing shit I ever read.
Come get some Ivermectin off my brother, dickheads; he’d laugh at you and usher you into extinction, probably.
“(Watchya think of Mandalorian
Patience can be a virtue.)”
I love you the most, brother/sister.
Fucken Hell, Ronnie!
I reckon I’ll be reading that soon!
I am a member of this Union.
Don’t do facts tddfcpt, it seems to set them off 😉
the discharge from Galyan’s rod ……..
Star Wars almost went in completely different course for me there for a while 🙂
“Don’t do facts tddfcpt, it seems to set them off”
I know I’m not yelling at ignorant dumbfounded dipshits (thanks Maynard James Keenan) YomMR…so it’s worth mentioning. I don’t have vested interests, just opinions, I suppose.
So, It’s worth my easily ignored contributions…but there they are…I didn’t fabricate them, it’s just more observations.
It’s not some huge political polarity at work here.
FOUNDATION, out tomorrow, I believe.
Still a Pirate.
Have read all of the Sapkowski books though, amazingly good, even after translation.
“His view is that that there is an element in the CFMEU that are deeply anti authority, conspiracy theorists and have a lot in common with the right wing conspiracy theorists.
I think we agreed on about 80% of the factors.”
An element, hahahahahhahaha…just like every other wokplace of semi ignorant unassuming employees?
So, fuck all to do with being a member then?
Yep
“That looks like the grammar and sentiment of a CFMEU member”
And yet, here I am, one of those verboten, and my grammar etc is quite reasonable, and here I am expousing moderate, considerate opinions, like thge majority of members across the fucking country.
“Another reason some people are against the vaccine is that it has been rushed. PLus a couple of them use a different technology than previous vaccines
I think the AZ vaccine uses the normal procedure for producing vaccines”
I personally know a couple of learned people who would be more than happy to explain this to you, Neil.
Your contention is absolutely debunked, at this point. Please don’t keep pretending otherwise.
Seriously, this shit is settled.
You are correct about AZ, but that’s not why the antivaxx carousel goes round and fucking round…
Wanna talk about why the mrna vaxxes got through quicker? Know a bit about that do you? Know better? I know people who do.
“This pretend glorification and feigned outrage over a stone monument today for political purposes is quite ridiculous. ”
Guffaw!
I strongly agree.
My stances regarding tablecloths etc are widely available and long held.
Interesting.
The political tone deafness of the antitards, trying to coopt the table cloth rubbish is illustrative.
Pissing on the monument…is a little more than politically vaccuous…but rather indicative.
Dopey cunts, way to put a roadblock in front of ‘taking the general poulation with us’. Dumbfounded dipshits.
“Which is not to say I don’t acknowledge and respect what generations of Australians in uniform have done, including ancestors of mine, but this is a building. A symbol, perhaps, but just a building. I’ve heard people here explain how a flag is just a piece of cloth. Same argument.”
Yep…EXACTLY the same argument, and I will stand by it until I die.
I am very pleased to see my irrefutable logic stand the test of time, and political winds, and be substantiated.
Fuck Nationalism or iconography with a stick.
That video of the pig smashing the unaware citizen to the ground and causing obvious serious cranial harm makes me wanna go out here in this parking lot and shoot a pig in their motherfucking face.
BC
‘just like every other workplace of semi ignorant unassuming employees?”
This is true. My son works for a small plumbing company. Out of 31 only two are vaxxed. Until the mandated testing and vaccinations there was above average vaccine hesitancy among construction workers. So it is no surprise that some construction workers are anti-vax.
I’ll read those comments with more attention later HD. But I have to point out the the construction division of the CFMEU, with its roots in the Victorian Builders Labours Federation,is an entirely different union to the SA branch of a paper manufacturing union with its roots in the PKIU , orone of the pulp and paper industry unions.
There is no similarity in industrial orientation
There is no similarity in industrial orientation
Yet the Union sites followed, very successfully, mandated health orders. non Union sites, on the other hand, is where Covid erupted from, forcing the closure of the industry.
Facts just don’t align with yor rancid bullshit, not that they will make a dent on it in yor head
So Tom R, your position is that the state government is wrong to mandate vaccination for the construction industry?
I suppose the union sites haven’t experienced a falling brick for 6 months they can get rid of the hard hats
Every exception to vaccination gives comfort and encouragement to the anti vaxers
So Tom R, your position is that the state government is wrong to mandate vaccination for the construction industry?
Hey yom, do you still eat babies?
I suppose the union sites haven’t experienced a falling brick for 6 months they can get rid of the hard hats
“not that they will make a dent on it in yor head”
🙂
It’s weird that yesterday you were implying I was siding with the protesters.
When the fact is that I’m probably the most ardent supporter of covid vaccination on this site, or anywhere else.
The difference is that you and others give excuses to anti vaxers, but suggesting that it’s a political orientation.
I don’t think that, because I don’t believe delusional conspiracy theories is a political orientation.
Nonetheless, stand proud that you’re providing excuses to anti vaxers
“by suggesting that it’s a political orientation…”
And this is the tee shirt I’m wearing today. If I was in Melbourne I might jog into the city wearing it
https://www.shirtsaustralia.com/products/vaccinated-because-i-m-not-stupid-funny-pro-vaccine-t-shirt?gclid=CjwKCAjwy7CKBhBMEiwA0Eb7auYPVOd-gjapNBTsCkFgCQMUfQv99KZ30mIgIfhFGM5BWnSXIYN-eBoCG9MQAvD_BwE
It’s weird that yesterday you were implying I was siding with the protesters.
I wasn’t implying anything, I thought I’d clearly stated that you were helping them by continuing to push the lie about Unions, a tactic used by the far right for a long time.
1. Have I ever said these protests were promoted by unions? No. I’ve said the CFMEU has lost control of a significant proportion of the membership. That is significantly due to the fact that that union has encouraged a culture in the construction industry of disregard for the law.
2. Rather than accept that reality, you make excuses for making vaccination optional on many construction sites. Exceptions give encouragement to anti vaxers.
3. At no stage have I ever given any support or comfort to anti vaxers, unlike you.
FOUNDATION, out tomorrow, I believe.
Beat me to it, ya bugger! Got the skull and bones flying and the eye patch ready!
Read “Foundation” and “Foundation & Empire” series as a kid in the UK … those books are still on my bookshelf in the study. Hope Foundation holds true in the TV version … they should then pick up all the other stuff Asimov wrote. His short stories on murder in space and on the moon, “Mysteries”, is brilliant! (“I Robot”, missed the mark by miles!)
Have I ever said these protests were promoted by unions?
hmm
The CFMEU blokes seem to be feeling a little sensitive.
Friday it was- “we have to eat in the fresh air. That’s an OHS problem, so we’re going to eat in the middle of a road”
By Monday it was- “they want us to have a needle! Let’s have a riot about that!”
Sensible union that one
And then linked them at every possible point since
That is significantly due to the fact that that union has encouraged a culture in the construction industry of disregard for the law.
“Interesting comment right at the end of the video in this article. Not one outbreak from a gold pass Union work site.”
[facepalm]
Still awaiting an apology
Yes, I’ll accept that as your apology and retraction, bexay no where have I said it is the union officials or the entire union organisation.
The fact is that there is a significant proportion of the CFMEU that are now beyond the control of the union. That’s because they have cultivated an emboldened and lawless attitude
Whereas you’re so committed to the union line that you’re giving excuses to anti vaxers.
The fact is that there is a significant proportion of the CFMEU that are now beyond the control of the union.
LINK!
Whereas you’re so committed to the union line that you’re giving excuses to anti vaxers.
LINK!
1. The evidence is that lots of CFMEU members protested on Friday and Monday about the lack of support regarding closure of crib rooms and mandatory vaccination. They started the momentum that carried through to Tuesday
2. You’re willing to not require vaccination on particular construction sites. That is giving comfort and excuses to anti vaxers.
3. I’ve given zero comfort to anti vaxers, entirely the opposite. Contrary to your bizarre invention yesterday
The evidence is that lots of CFMEU members protested on Friday and Monday about the lack of support regarding closure of crib rooms and mandatory vaccination. They started the momentum that carried through to Tuesday
No, you are drawing a line. Show me where that happened? I’ve shown you where it didn’t
You’re willing to not require vaccination on particular construction sites. That is giving comfort and excuses to anti vaxers.
Again, WHERE?? Stop lying, start apologizing
I’ve given zero comfort to anti vaxers, entirely the opposite. Contrary to your bizarre invention yesterday
Except where you claimed, repeatedly, that they were CFMEU members, when the evidence showed that they were not (which leads back to your first point)
YES, yor right wing nazi mates tried to ‘pretend’ that they carried it on from the lunch room issue, the evidence showed their pretense was exposed.
Yet you keep pushing their barrel for them, no matter how many times it is shown to be incorrect. Protecting anti vaxxers and nazis, and trying to put it all on the union movement (which was yor nazi mates initial plan).
Either you are a useful idiot, or nazi anti vaxer. Which one is it?
Hilarious! You used to make sense on occasions. Those days seem to have passed.
The right wing tried their protest on Saturday, they got less than 200.
But by Tuesday they had infiltrated the construction industry and got thousands to protest? Are you serious?
And you’ve forgotten your comments about the lunch in the middle of the road on Friday, you provided excuses for that…OHS or some similar lame reason.
Now you’re providing excuses for vaccination being optional on some unionised construction sites.
That’s giving cover, comfort and excuses to the anti vaxers. They’ll get zero from me.
Contrary to your bullsh*t of yesterday
They had a large number on the weekend (I showed a link earlier) there was maybe a slightly larger number on the day they attacked the CFMEU, because some Construction workers obviously went wondering what the hell was going on.
But the number of demonstrators were probably about the same
But you keep dissembling, and until you can clarify which one you are, I’ll keep choosing nazi sympathizer
Lame and limp. You’ve lost the plot in your zealotry to look for excuses
Whereas I’ve criticised all the prominent groups among the anti vaxers, remember?
* Trump supporting conspiracy theorists
* Green alternative medicine types
* Members of the CFMEU in the construction industry
…who have I left out?
But somehow you bizarrely call that supporting right wing anti vaxers!
AOC has got the sads:
…who have I left out?
Almost every microcosm of Australian life lol
eg, financial advisors, it failures, pm’s
the list is massive. But you just focus on one tiny representation you call repeatedly refer to as ‘large’. And repeatedly link them back to the Union
It’s almost as if yomm has got a new gig as IT coach for “scottie from pissing people off”
Scummo’s had a win. Eachway Albo sort of agrees. Keating has lost his mind over it and Ratfucker Rudd is giving advice on diplomacy.
The French should just fuck right off to new Zealand and blow up a boat!
yea, when forcing the cuntry to go nuclear, and pissing off the EU Union block is a win lol

You’ve definately lost the plot
lol, says the guy who makes completely unfounded allegations, and refuses to apologize, even when I go out of my way try and explain how a Union who follows the best medical advice, forbids action against anti vaccinations, and has the safety record to prove it, is somehow enabling the anti vaxxers
Goebbels would be proud.
“Goebbels would be proud.”
In your case, Tom R, he would be insanely jealous. You make him look like a rank amateur.
“this is what a ‘win’ looks like”
If its only $450 mil as suggested at your ink, then it is a great deal – about half what Andrews paid to get out of East West Link. Well played Scummo.
The bizarre reality of Tom R.
* says the most strident critic of anti vaxers here (me) is supporting anti vaxers
* says the people who couldn’t organise a respectable crowd at their protest on Saturday had suddenly become capable of organising one by Tuesday.
* says the people who protested on Friday and Monday had lost interest by Tuesday, and left it to the people who organised Saturday’s protest
* says he supports vaccination, except when he doesn’t
Hilarious!
says the most strident critic of anti vaxers here (me) is supporting anti vaxers
Yet you continue to give the actual anti vaxers a free goal by pretending they are CFMEU members, what they pretended from the start.
“I saw a video today with many of the people passing the camera showing things that looked to be membership cards.
An acquaintance yesterday reported that many workers had knocked off to attend the protest”
Apart from never being able to support this claim, you never pause to link it back to the Union, do you?
says the people who couldn’t organise a respectable crowd at their protest on Saturday had suddenly become capable of organising one by Tuesday.
the news said otherwise, as I have shown you repeatedly

Link. Trying to conflate two issues is what the anti vaxers tried on. Why do you keep peddling their lines, if you are so anti anti vaxer?
says he supports vaccination, except when he doesn’t
for the last time yomm. show me the link!
Really… Have you watched that video? I think the estimation of a couple of hundred is probably generous. They’re outnumbered by the police.
There were far more at the Tuesday one.
And don’t be ashamed that you’re providing anti vaxers with cover and excuses, because the CFMEU advises that vaccination is optional. You’re in lock step with your superiors
There were far more at the Tuesday one.
So. Maybe with people like you helping them, they garnered more. You are a sad excuse, anything to attack the Unions, misleading, lying, and now throwing your lot in with nazis. Nothing is too low for you when it comes to attacking Unions.
Oh, and LINK 🙂
I’m sure that makes sense to you and other delusional zealots
lol, says the one not able to provide one piece of evidence to suppport his wild claims.
Anyway, I’m off for beer and other goodies, enjoy playing with yor new nazi mates 😉
Scummo’s had a win.

Just more fictitious fantasy on your part, ToMMY! Grow up FFS! If you ever were a manager, the CFMEU would just step on you … *

WTF is wrong with Mexicans!
Hilarious TB! I can imagine you “tangling” with the CFMEU.
You bore them to surrender
As some Nationals reacted with derision to the intervention by Frydenberg, Scott Morrison said the government must prepare industries for “a new energy economy”.
Eventually even the liberal party (another stupid misnomer) catch up 2050 BS go for 2030!
Hilarious TB! I can imagine you “tangling” with the CFMEU.
You bore them to surrender
Your ignorance is no longer amusing … at least the CFMEU reps figured out that I specialised in competency based learning that would benefit their members, rather than the “tick n flick” they were used to … that managers, obviously like you, paid big bucks for!
And you may remember, I too, was a rep for the AMWU! You dickwit!
Astounding shit! Harass and bullshit – you’re no better than Setka …some management are usually worse than unions … and I trained managers … most who were well respected … I very much doubt you’d ever fucking cope!
Isn’t it great how we all just get along..?
Speaking of vaccines, it’s probably a good idea to get the new Shingrix vaccine for Shingles if you are over 50.
When Bunnings Karen isn’t busy attending anti-vac protests she practices black magic in her backyard…
I mean, who amongst us hasn’t…

Yes, it’s marvellous!
Tom R has taken the 1980s saying to a new level- my perception is your reality!
But I’ll concede, there must have been dozens of dentists and doctors at that protest, in their hi viz jackets. They’d done a click and collect at the Toorak Bunnings.
And, is there any greater compliment that can be paid to a professional than being told by TB – you don’t meet my standards?
Imagine how boring it would be if we all fucking agreed on everything!
Why, I’d lose my raison d’être if TB had no annoying foibles to be corrected and Tom R did not need setting to rights every day.
Why, I’d lose my raison d’être if SB had no annoying foibles to be corrected and ToM did not need setting to rights every day.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
… you don’t meet my standards? Indeed, based on the shit you write and when you never know when to stop … I’m surprised you can actually spell standards … ’cause you don’t demonstrate ’em.

it’s probably a good idea to get the new Shingrix vaccine
Absolutely! (its too late when you’ve got ’em) as one of the 1 in 3, I say, don’t hesitate.
And you can get ’em more than once … I had to wait six months after I went down with, what is a nasty fkn virus! Could hardly walk for six weeks …
847 new cases in Vic today. If we try very hard we might hit 1,000 by tomorrow. How’s the that short, sharp, 7-day lockdown workin’ out for ya Dan?
“How’s the that short, sharp, 7-day lockdown workin’ out for ya Dan?”
Why don’t ya ask Gladys – where it all began, or is your criticism only reserved for those you don’t barrack for. 🙄
I had the Shingrix tax this morning TB.
$250 and a sore arm, but it’s a small price to pay.
I haven’t bothered to update my CV, because there’s no reason to. But if I did, I would include under “Major Achievements” – assessed by (the) TB of Brisbane as not meeting his standard
Why don’t ya ask Gladys
Last I heard, Gladys didn’t impose a 7-day lockdown in Victoria which is now in its 8th week. Pretty sure that was Daniel Andrews, who deserves criticism for its utter failure.
“$250 and a sore arm, but it’s a small price to pay.”
Totally agree!
“Why, I’d lose my raison d’être if SB had no annoying foibles to be corrected”
Exactly my point, TB: Your greatness lies entirely in your ability to mimic me.
Last I heard, Gladys didn’t impose a 7-day lockdown in Victoria which is now in its 8th week.
To be fair, that’s going swimmingly too
$250 and a sore arm, but it’s a small price to pay.
I can vouch its worth more than that!
You rich BB can afford it anyway! Or so I’m told … onya!
Your greatness lies entirely in your ability to mimic me.

A defence contractor in France says it’s sending round a chap to come on your face. Do you intend to eat that?
Nobody’s saying we are paying the money splats, but it’s a pretty big ambit claim to make. I cannot recall anything similar. Perhaps you can?
It just highlights, again, how poorly we have handled this.
And though it (probably) won’t cost us $66 Billion, it will certainly cost more than the couple of Billion we have already pissed away
“Perhaps you can?”
Clive Palmer does that sort of shit all the time. The bigger the claim the more bullshit it is.
“it will certainly cost more than the couple of Billion”
Based on what? Your perfervid fantasies?
Seems like it will be less than half a billion – which is less a than half what Stairman Dan paid to terminate the East West Link.
lol, so only ANOTHER $500 million (best case).
And let’s not forget all the other trades we will miss out on. France has a large voice in the EU, and many others, like Germany, have expressed their concerns over Australia’s behaviour here. Feeling pretty good in little SA, considering the libs sold our Water to France a while back, hope they don’t decide to get petty.
We’ve already lost $billions in trade to China, and now to France. This mobs a wrecking ball, who carried on for a decade about alleged ‘waste’ over building school halls ffs
You could blame the submarine disaster on Rudd/ALP.
Apparently Rudd produced a White Paper which said we needed 12 subs. But what type? What colour? etc. Labor provided no details and placed no orders
It was left to the new Coalition govt to do something and place an order. OK they got it wrong but hopefully we can learn from the disaster. But at least the Coalition placed an order.
Would not surprise me we went for the French option because of Turnbull. If Abbott was still PM we may have ordered the Japanese subs
You are too funny, Tom R. The more you need to deviate from common sense to score your political points the more ridiculous you are. Yep, you’d definitely eat it.
“You are too funny, Tom R.”
$25 Billion MORE of laughs for ya splats
Victoria is way in front of NSW in per capita cases!
With the longest lockdown in the world!
Thanks Dan
“You are too funny, Tom R. The more you need to deviate from common sense to score your political points the more ridiculous you are.”
Dear oh dear Splatter don’t you realise ?
Arguing with a TomR is like playing chess with a pigeon.
No matter how well you play chess,……….. the pigeon just knocks over all the pieces, …………….takes a big crap on the board and then struts around like he won.
Congratulations Dan Andrews you beat us today fair and square.
How is that hard and fast lockdown going ?????
Good to see you are in fine form, Wally.
the pigeon just knocks over all the pieces, …………….takes a big crap on the board and then struts around like he won.
Well, Eddie does anyways 😉
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> How is that hard and fast lockdown going ????? >>>>>>>>>>>
Last year it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve and then everything is back to normal
How do you get rid of boys college,, “trained”, hypocrite judges again!

I wouldn’t just be going after Knox Grammar if it was one of mine!!!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
And in good (read very proud) news family member in third year of nurse/paramedic double is currently working in regional Queensland after volunteering to help with Covid!
I don’t think Andrews understands what makes a society
But one of your heroes said ” there is no such thing as a society ”
And amusing, because …
I prefer to live in a society NOT survive in an economy!
The Chaser was once smart, funny and on point.
Hurt opinion
Who.Gives.A.Flying.Fuck? (Except dullard trolls trying to score points)
Mirroring? Answer — SB !
And then …. and then ….. the silly fuckers sent us a bill for $66bn! I though being French they would have tried a 69 on us but 66 it is!
Look over there … nonsense … run a business? How the fuck would you feel! Called EMPATHY!
Note: I grew up in the UK … I do not like the French … but!
BINGO! It just highlights, again, how poorly we have handled this.
OK! Just who is this fuckwit?
You could blame the submarine disaster on Rudd/ALP.
Please explain:
The more you need to deviate from common sense
Good to see you are in fine form, Wally.
Birds of a pigeon feather?
I suppose it’s common sense that oddbods coagulate … hey, Wally! Oh and SB ..

See yas back to editing!
But one of your heroes said ” there is no such thing as a society ”
BAZINGA!
Hurt opinion
Literally, Butt hurt 😉
Speaking of which, how can a dress, upset a school?
950 new cases in Vic today.
Great work with that 7-day lockdown Dan!
Thanks Dan!
Every day we have a new world record for the longest lockdown
So our resident (evil 🤑) experts recommend Victoria allows free movement for all residents and visitors in that state. Great idea. Most of the idiots are already on the streets.
I guess the rest of Oz can simply watch and wait to pick up the “pieces”.
As an aside, I saw a camper-van at our local seafront BBQ spot on Monday … Victorian number plates and the owner had scratched all the blue off the writing … that sort of cowboy stuff might be legal in Victoria but the QLD! police like to know registration numbers – its the law y’know?
😎
The pigeon has landed! TB is back.
The high point of TB’s eight comment clusterfuck was that, being rhetorically inept, he resorted to the Pauline Hanson approach to deflection: “Please explain”. Been years since that idiotic cliche was mocked out of common useage. But, in senior moments, apparently that’s all that pops into the clouded fading mind of the afflicted.
This does not sound like a good idea:
This is actually speaking truth to power (and being prepared to pay the price):
If you look at a map TB, you’ll notice that the spread of the virus is in the ALP heartland. Blame them
ABC reports…
Worksafe says it has charged Victoria’s health department with 58 breaches of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in relation to the state’s hotel quarantine program.
The workplace health and safety watchdog alleged the department, formerly the Department of Health and Human Services, failed to provide a safe working environment for its employees.
How about charging a few of the ministers
OK so in this morning’s 11am “Glad Wrap” the score reads
New South Wales 863
to
Victoria 950
How’s that hard and fast lockdown going Dan ?
And Workplace Safety Victoria launches 17 charges over botched hotel quarantine
Any pigeons about ?
***NEW THREAD PLEASE!***
This doesn’t load properly on my phone! And I’d hate to miss out on any of the brilliant comments here!
fiasco
Isn’t the fiasco the fact that states were forced to do this, are STILL forced to do this, and the man with no plan still does nothing (except destroy any relationships we already have (according to a former lib pm)
lol, malkies doing a rudd
“malkies doing a rudd”
Turdball. That deceitful money-grubbing cat-strangling cunt is doing exactly as expected. He and Rudd are peas in a pod – multi-millionaire narcissists with a runaway case of relevance deprivation syndrome.

Just thought it needed repeating 😉
Turnbull was a disaster.
The only perhaps good thing he did was change Labors 93% FTTP-NBN thought up on a plane flight to a FTTN-NBN. Nothing wrong with FTTP. It is obviously the best but it requires and underground tube down every street and into every home. Very very time consuming. Half the country would still be on ADSL if no changes were made,
But i still say the subs disaster could be blamed on Rudd/ALP. Rudds White Paper said we needed 12 subs. Rudd then did not place an order for anything. And if Abbott was PM i bet you we would have gone with the Japanese subs
… it requires and underground tube down every street and into every home. Very very time consuming.
Civil engineer, Kneel? There is more than one “underground tube” down most streets in Australia …
But i still say the subs disaster could be blamed on Rudd/ALP. Rudds White Paper said we needed 12 subs. Rudd then did not place an order for anything. And if Abbott was PM i bet you we would have gone with the Japanese subs
Build a fuckin bridge, Kneel! A White Paper is just a collection of ideas and thoughts … unlike your idiotic rants!
…runaway case of relevance deprivation syndrome
Not exclusively suffered by multi millionaires it seems. 🙄

Get an Android … (I’m guessing here, you strike me as an, iPhone are best fanboi … )
OK so in this morning’s 11am “Glad Wrap” the score reads

Victoria 950
Wow! Score? It’s not a game of footy!
BTW surely that’s “Golden Glad Wrap!”
BTW you do realise that Dan Andrews doesn’t actually “spread” Covid ……………… wait for it!
It’s a fkn pandemic FFS! Fight the disease … not other Aussies!
Astounding mentality … (lack)
How about charging a few of the ministersas well! I think you meant!
We all have a duty of care to each other … tho’ I don’t see it much in the DEEP SOUTH!
Apologies Wally, I forgot you were a CA … numbers are everything! 😎
If you look at a map TB, you’ll notice that the spread of the virus is in the ALP heartland. Blame them
Not everything is political! This is a virus check you’re bum right now!
It’s drongoes who don’t follow elected government rules that should be your target …
Like the other Victorian wanker who removed the colour from his number plates!
Our new number plate tag-
Victoria the
GardenPolice StateSo …. not “Victoria The Place To Be” either?
Been years since that idiotic cliche was mocked out of common useage.
Unless used in mockery … you didn’t know that? Well, well, something else …
But, in senior moments, apparently that’s all that pops into the clouded fading mind of the afflicted.
Do you ever read the shite that you pop up here?
Ageism insults are always your last resort … you poor “young thing” you … 😂
The pigeon has landed! TB is back.
Yep, but the pigeon is video editing … time is a premium … the one thing you can never get back!
Catch youse! Hey!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Build a fuckin bridge, Kneel! A White Paper is just a collection of ideas and thoughts … unlike your idiotic rants!>>>>>>>>>>>>>
OK. But then why didn’t Rudd place an order for some new submarines?? He had many years to place an order.
It was the next govt who was left to place an order. OK the order was a disaster. But better to try and fail than not to try at all.
“Look what’s going on in Australia right now. They’re enforcing, after a year-and-a-half, lockdowns by the military,” the Republican said.
This is a State Governor and the USofA record is (cue Wally) and why are Republican State Governors bagging Australia?
Have they not heard of AUKUS … ignorance run wild …
Australia does not want to be the 51st state! FFS!
Everyone should do this:
1438 cases today! The one week lockdown has been a great success!
* Longest lockdown in the world
* The most cases
Meanwhile, NSW had lighter restrictions and is opening up more quickly.
1,438 new cases in Vic today, and 11,008 people currently with Covid.
Just as well we went into the “short, sharp, 7-day lockdown”,
because “we don’t want to be like Sydney”. Congratulations Dan, we officially are not like Sydney, we’re much, much worse.
Are there still any defenders of how the Andrews government handled this?
“Unless used in mockery …”
Sure, Jan. 😉
The fact is that most of the spread of the virus has been in north western suburbs, the ALP heartland. The government has failed to adequately communicate and police those areas
It has avoided the heavy handed policing that it applies in other parts of Melbourne, and to other demographics
Meanwhile, NSW had lighter restrictions and is opening up more quickly.
Looking forward to plane loads of vaccines being diverted to Vic any moment now…..
When NSW had the initial outbreak they were prioritised for vaccination.
When the Victorian outbreak followed we got extra.
We’re about a week behind NSW in vaccination, and about 6 months behind in the willingness to open
At the expense of other states though yomm?
NSW and Victoria have the outbreaks. They’ve been given the vaccination priority. I think that was a decision cleared by national cabinet.
Every eligible person who wants a vaccine appointment in Victoria can get one, and always could.
(Are there still any defenders of how the Andrews government handled this?
Nah; once the quarantine-shirking Commonwealth finally gets around to vaxxing all the 1As and 1Bs, let the (pre)mature Sydney 3-stage roadmap (un)safely rip everywhere (pretty much exactly as has been staged); and allow the silent(ed) majority of freedomistas all the enjoyments of the veritable picnic that is dying (at home) without ever having been vaxxed, or traced, or tested, or seeking or receiving appropriate medical care, other than a dutybound missive from Leyjonhjelm from atop his throne; I say.)
Dan’s getting desperate. He just reduced the Pfizer second dose in Victoria from 6 weeks to 3 weeks.
I think that was a decision cleared by national cabinet.
Can’t wait to see those deliberations, if we ever can 😉
It’s gonna take some time to get back through all of that…I wasn’t as obdurate as I remembered myself to be, so the reading will be a pleasure, not a chore.
