Christian Porter claims Victory after Court orders him to pay $430,000 in legal fees.

January 20, 2022
This is what winning looks like

FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL and one time PM aspirant Christian Porter has chalked up yet another successful court room victory with the Federal Court decreeing that the alleged rapist and his defamation lawyer must pay more than $430,000 to cover the legal costs of a friend of the woman who accused him of rape in the 1980s.

In what can only be seen as yet another embarrassing backdown for the ABC, this new ruling brings Mr Porter’s legal costs to over one million dollars.

Earlier this year, Christian Porter sued the ABC for defamation over the allegations.

The ABC agreed to settle the case out of court following a request from Mr Porter’s lawyers and handed over a token $100K towards his legal costs however the ABC stands by its original report outlining the damaging rape allegations and has not issued an apology.

These new costs are on top of his estimated $500,000 plus in legal fees for the now discontinued defamation case.

Speaking to The Gutter Trash, Mr Porter said:

“This yet another humiliating backdown for the ABC and my accusers in a long conga line of embarrassing blunders.”

“You wait and see, ultimately I will be completely vindicated and I won’t be satisfied until my legal costs are well over $10 million. Then we’ll see who has the last laugh….!”

Emulating former US President Donald Trump, Mr Porter added:

“You’re gonna see so much winning you’re gonna be sick of all the winning…!!”

The ABC was unavailable for comment.

    Remember Julia Gillard’s kitchen renovations…?

She got away with that too (of course, that was after several independent inquiries found that …. she had done nothing wrong)

    But YEA! 😉

It’s interesting that Andrew Bogut HS been warned by the Victorian Electrol Commission not to publish his views on voting independents out.
We’d better be careful about expressing our views!

Yes, not sure about the whole story, but the AEC has done similar perplexing things too. Even though they are supposed to be ‘independent’?

    Surely a joke …

    Not a joke, panic perhaps?

While it took almost two years to reach one million cases on January 10 this year, it took just 10 days for the country’s COVID-19 tally to get to two million due to rising Omicron cases.

It’s hard to know the moment Australia’s response to Covid turned from purposeful to a parody, but it was probably when economics trumped health advice.

Economics has been trumping the community for decades … its called neoliberalism … simply put profits before people …

Some of us have always preferred to live in a society not survive in an LNP economy!

Scott Morrison’s proposal to allow teenagers to drive forklifts has been abandoned after taking the states by surprise …

… He said he wanted to reduce regulation in the transport and other sectors to help address a staffing crisis, which has crippled supply chains and seen supermarket shelves stripped of staples …

… “There are other changes that need to be made and they’re at a state level, and I’m continuing to pursue those with the states,” …

“There are changes that we need to make around the age of forklift drivers, to get quite specific.”

However the Queensland, Victorian and New South Wales governments have all said they have no plans to lower the age, which is currently set at 18 years old.

Mr Morrison did not initially say how much lower the age should be but later referred to 16 year olds.

    My bold.

Thank the trilogy for State Premiers …

Changes we need to make?? Who’s driving this cab? Or is Morrison so fkn dumb?

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison suggested that the worst of the Omicron staffing crisis may be over and his comments were backed by major supermarkets and poultry suppliers.

And a day later Scotty wants to lower the age limit for forklift operators? What hypocrisy are we seeing here?
