Trump impeached again!

January 14, 2021

It’s a sad day for Donald Trump and his army of sycophants, suckholes and the conga line of supporters who hang on his every word (and invent a few of their own in their parallel-universe of undying loyalty) as a record number of Republicans vote with the Democrats to impeach the President for a second time.

The Democratic majority was joined by 10 Republicans, making the House’s move bipartisan – unlike Trump’s first impeachment less than 13 months ago.

The 10 votes make the impeachment the most bipartisan ever, another historical marker which also creates a deep split in the Republican party which is unlikely to end with Trump’s departure.

The vote ended with Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker, in the chair, declaring the count of 232 to 197 – but with silence from the Democrats and handful of Republicans still present. Pelosi had warned her members not to celebrate the outcome.

It ended a day of debate in which Pelosi had called Trump a ‘clear and present danger,’ as Democrats said they were standing in a ‘crime scene’ and demanded that Trump pay a price for a campaign of ‘lies and conspiracy theories’ which had fomented violence.

Apparently Trump’s ‘people’ say he will be issuing a statement soon, but it’s kinda made all the more sweet knowing that he can’t jump onto Twitter to vent his anger.

    I bet that’s a relief for the Bidens …

(Or maybe it might be too dangerous for her – maybe she knows something we don’t?)

ONLY? It still is a bloody, huge figure …

Australia’s financial watchdog has drastically reduced the sum of money it says was sent from the Vatican to Australia, the Vatican says, after it earlier reported a huge figure that raised suspicions of money laundering.

The joint Vatican-Australian review showed only $A9.5 million transited between 2014 and 2020, a fraction of the $A2.3 billion originally reported by the watchdog to widespread astonishment.

There will no riots, no civil war, just embarrassed silence from his supporters.

    and

Maybe TB and Tom R can let us know when we can expect it all to happen.

Also leftist groups are planning to take to the battle to streets when Trump wins. There will be mass rioting courtesy of George Soros bring a colour revolution tactics to the US.

Yes, maybe I’d forgotten that with about 25 times the population of Australia there are 20 times as many nutcases.

I thought the correct term was ‘deplorable’ 😉

But they’re a long way from the civil war some were predicting

lol, they just tried to mount an insurrection. I suppose you think it was just a few people going to a comic con getting lost on the way?

‘merica has a tin pot dictator running it. His little coup failed, but that wasn’t from the lack of trying, it was from the lack of brains.

Yeah! Our version is a protest organised by unions that broke into parliament house.

Unions must be proud of that highlight

I went looking for the 1996 Parliament House riot on Youtube. The ABC video no longer exists.

Looks like lefties spend most of their time deleting things that look bad for them and silencing people they do not agree with.

I have been banned from Twitter and The Guardian for saying things that lefties do not agree with

I am surprised that Twitter banned Trump.

Not really. It was a breakaway section of a valid demonstration.

But, it all goes to intent, doesn’t it. That was a spontaneous, alcohol fueled action, that didn’t at all show any intent other than showing their outrage, whereas what happened in the US was a premeditated, but poorly planned, attempt to take over the Government apparatus.

From prompting by the soon to be ousted President. And only failed because of the actions of a few. It was what could have been the beginning of an all out civil war. That is how close it got. And those responsible, from the President down, need to be held accountable for that.

    STAND BACK!

The adults are in charge now!

But in recent weeks the attempts by the Australian government to seek retribution are looking increasingly like an own goal.

Australia’s response – restricting Chinese investment in various sectors, including infrastructure, communications, agriculture and construction – has worsened the already toxic relationship.

Yeah!! The break away group/CFMEU should be excused for breaking into parliament, causing dozens of serious injuries, and taking the stage at the rally!

Yep. CFMEU and a few other militants broke away from the main protest an’t took a different route. CFMEU flags right at the front of the parliament door breaking, a CFMEU official on the stage boasting about his exploits in taking on the police and breaking into parliament… but it had nothing to do with the CFMEU.
If there were 15 times as many militant nutcases (ie equivalent scale) it might have looked a little different, even more serious.

    “the conspiracy runs deep ….”

A fact is not a conspiracy theory.

The real conspiracy theory is that propounded in the article of impeachment namely that President Trump:

“willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged—and forseeably resulted in—lawless action at the Capitol, such as: ‘if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.’
