Royal Split leaves Queen Reeling with Rage!

January 9, 2020

Harry & Meghan’s shock Royal exit has caused a ‘civil war’ at Buckingham Palace – leaving both Prince Charles and Prince William ‘incandescent with rage.’

The couple rushed out a bombshell statement after their plans were exposed in UK tabloid The Sun. But the failure to consult other Royals has triggered outrage.

However a senior source told The Gutter Trash that their statement was not cleared with anyone.

“It breaks all protocol. This is a declaration of war on the family.”

“There is fury over how they’ve done this without any thought for the implications for the institution. The Queen is deeply upset. The Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge are incandescent with rage.

“Courtiers can’t believe it. There are so many unanswered questions but they’ve just up and done it without a thought for anyone else.”

“The plan was for there to discuss it and work out a way that works for everyone in the family.”

“THIS IS WAR!”

But when Harry and Meghan found out The Sun was breaking the story, they wanted to rush out a statement immediately.

“Harry and Meghan wanted it their way or the highway. So they’ve gone and exiled themselves from the Royal Family. It’s extraordinary.”

The statement said Harry and Meghan will work to become financially independent and will divide their time between the UK and North America.

Buckingham Palace issued a curt statement last night stating discussion were at an “early stage.”

It read:

“We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”

Apparently, the final straw for Harry and Meghan was the official release of a new royal portrait featuring The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George.

The insider told us that the picture was the clearest indication that Harry and Meghan are not considered part of the future of the institution, and from their point of view from that moment on there was no point hanging around.

The big question is “what will Harry and Meghan do now?”

Commercial deals ranging from sponsorship deals to reality TV shows are widely tipped, but these lucrative deals will be anathema to the Queen and the remaining Royals who consider such arrangements grotesque!

They are a pair of wannabe Kardashians. They’ve worked out that there is more money to be had as professional celebrities. Given the way Yanks fawn over royals they could be on to something!

Now they don’t have to put up with or answer to the other royals. Freed from the social obligations that attend royal status they can cash in on their own celebrity (which derives exclusively from their status as royals.)

No doubt encouraged by the Clinton Foundation’s “charitable” work they have trademarked the name “Sussex Royal”.

They are simply resigning in order to spend less time with The Firm and more time with The Family …

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

They’ve worked out that there is more money to be had as professional celebrities.

erm, they are already “professional celebrities” … and that’s why we are all here burbling about them …

    #MeToo …

Note: I have more time for Harry than any of ’em … he’s independent and I suspect gets the hypocrisy of Divine Right of Kings … most good soldiers are usually down to earth …

    they are already “professional celebrities”

They have become a lot more “professional” now. and intend to exploit the American market as well with “Commercial deals ranging from sponsorship deals to reality TV shows …“. They were previously somewhat constrained by expectations of public duty. That is out the window now and they will be selling themselves to the highest bidders.

Kardashian style they will make billions from gullible yanks gawking at their lurid lives. Maybe they can enter into a business venture with that old slapper Fergie (who deserves to be royally rewarded for the gross-out entertainment she has provided over the years.)

Yep, no trickle down economics fer them … funny how the religiously, royal gawpers get all a twitter when the market system that “works so well” is simply used agin the “traditions” of what, who and fkn why …

FYI The Firm has been exploiting The System for centuries … nothing new here … just slightly out of the Liberal Playbox …

“the market system that “works so well””

The market system is the only system which has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. Nothing else has.

In contrast socialism has killed over a hundred million people and brings with it poverty, misery and death wherever it is implemented. Atheistic socialism is the greatest killing machine in history.

Welcome to … the market system is the only system which has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. Nothing else has.

The crisis enveloping Boeing has deepened after the release of hundreds of internal messages between employees working on the 737 Max aircraft, which boasted of deceiving safety regulators and saying the plane was “designed by clowns”.

US politicians investigating Boeing said the messages were “deeply disturbing” and showed “a co-ordinated effort to conceal information” about flaws in the aircraft, which was grounded last year after two fatal crashes.

The messages sent between 2015 and 2018 show unnamed employees discussing the fatal implications of work on the 737 Max project that they believed was substandard.

In an exchange in 2018, one refers to “to the very very few of us on the program who are interested only in truth”, adding “Would you put your family on a MAX simulator trained aircraft? I wouldn’t.”

    The other employee responded: “No.”

In instant messages sent in April 2017 complaining about the Max’s flight management technology, an employee wrote: “This airplane is designed by clowns who in turn are supervised by monkeys,” and referred to its “piss poor design”, before later urging: “Let’s just patch the leaky boat”.

Referring to the US aviation regulator, the Federal Aviation Authority, which ultimately certified the plane as safe to fly, another message says: “I’ll be shocked if the FAA passes this turd.”

In 2018, one employee adds: “I still haven’t been forgiven by God for the covering up I did last year.”

    No I don’t …

    1. What’s contentious?

    2. Why is it “nonsense”?

    3. I didn’t write it, Boeing employees did

    4. Read what you just wrote … takes issue with him.

    5. Take issue with the comment … not the writer … my “comment” – “Welcome to …”

That’s a good idea TB. Perhaps provide a graph of long term rates of worldwide poverty and a rationale for the trend.

Yeah; I guess we shouldn’t ask how Christopher’s-now-Linda’s plans for transforming the commanding heights of an Australian economy into a top-10 arms exporter are progressing, while (not) discussing “… the greatest killing machine in history…”.

    ————-

Why not choose a graph or article about the rate of worldwide poverty?

Indeed; how fare the Sustainable Development Goals, for those resting on their laurels (having achieved the Millennium Development Goals in a canter, without meeting foreign aid pledges of 0.7% of GDP per annum since 1972); or, are ‘we’ still playing (‘self’-)Righteous?)

    And this popped up …

The big success of the last generation was that global extreme poverty declined rapidly. But many are still very poor and progress against extreme poverty is urgently needed. However, we are currently far off track to ending extreme poverty – we expect half a billion people to still live on less than $1.90 per day by 2030. To ensure that ‘no one is left behind’ as the SDG agenda promises, this is where we need to focus our efforts.

It’s not just a concern until 2030: without rising incomes in the worst-off places extreme poverty will remain a reality for millions.

You reply to a factual comment about capitalism lifting vast populations out of poverty with something about Boeing?

I am a capitalist … I ran my own business FFS! But the current version of Über Kapitalism – profit at any cost – including deaths, injuries, damage, reputations, livelihoods, poor service, low wages, greedy disconnected politicians and incompetent governance has as many downsides as it does upsides …

What a surprise! Getup got it wrong.

Like the Greens popping up in Queensland, GetUp’s intervention in most electorates turned people off the candidates they supported.
