Scott Morrison: “I’m suffering too.”

January 14, 2022

Look I’m not saying that Scott Morrison is out of touch with the plight of ordinary Australians who are struggling to buy a pack of sausages to feed the family or heaven forbid a Rapid Antigen test of which Simon Birmingham (who coincidentally is trying to butch up his mousey appearance by growing some facial hair) says there’s a plentiful supply even though no one on dog’s green earth can seem to find one,

NO! That would be far too indulgent.

Instead, our self-sacrificing Prime Minister (in title only by all accounts) insists that he too is suffering from the ill-effects of Covid by having to lend himself to the arduous tasks and responsibilities associated with the high office he holds.

Yesterday, fronting the media to burble a fresh bout of bullshit our beleaguered leader became clearly testy with reporters venting that he was unable to spend his “anniversary” with “Jen” because “he had to work,” (even though it wasn’t actually their wedding anniversary).

After a rambling press conference that failed to address the unfolding Novak Djokovic visa debacle that’s currently exposing the Federal Government as a shambolic shit show of incompetence on the International stage, the PM turned as he was walking away from the podium to say:

‘One last thing, indulge me this. Happy anniversary Jenny, I hope I get to see you soon’.

Scott and Jen sign their marriage certificate

Aw, poor Scott and Jen couldn’t together because he’s suffering too.

What a crock of shit.

It’s yet another cynical carefully-orchestrated move designed to solicit sympathy from a psychopath who has no qualms about locking kids indefinitely in detention, sending people back to work without adequate protection from Covid and insisting that people can go out and buy RA tests when none are actually available!

Heck we can’t even buy food anymore!

He can go fuck himself.

He lies on his immigration statement, he flouted covid protocols. He clearly thinks he’s more important than others.
He knew there would be plenty of hurdles for an anti vaxer nutcase. particularly when the overwhelming majority of people here are vaccinated.
    He deserves zero sympathy, and-
    * Tennis Australia have been disgraceful and the CEO and board should be dismissed
    * The Victorian government has been hopelessly inconsistent and incompetent
    * The federal government has been hopelessly handwashing
But Djokovic is a prick, a nutcase, a weirdo with no regard for rules and certainly no good grace

  27. January 14, 2022 10:22 pm

While I agree with the comments made by Tom and others, I also think that giving expulsion powers to an immigration Minister is also an abomination.

Decisions made in these instance are best made in the judicial arena and not by an executive/legislative actor whose conflicts of interest are so very obvious.

  30. January 15, 2022 6:30 pm

Re – “his presence … promotes anti vaccination”

Perhaps, but is this (his presence) to become a ‘Principle’ that might be universalized to consider the welfare and risks of all parties when considering policy decisions and outcomes? A mere ‘presence” becomes an unacceptable risk?

If so, should Clive Palmer’s evident obesity be enough to have him banned from TV screens, particularly when children watch? What about the broadcasting of Parliament? (Encouraging hate speech? etc)

No doubt our media will pursue this ‘principle’ at the next opportunity.

That reminds me, AZ vaccine is not recommend for under 60’s because the vaccine can cause blood clots. Not sure why it is not a problem for over 60’s.

But since these vaccines have been rushed it is understandable that some people may not want to take them. Calling them anti-vaxxers is a little harsh. Most are not anti-vaccines they are just anti these ones.

Just dismiss 4000 deaths in one year due to the flu and pneumonia, compared to 2000 due to covid over 2 years!
And don’t worry about complications unless they are the complications you nominate!

(complications) include viral or bacterial pneumonia, dehydration, and ear infections and sinus infections, especially in children. The flu can worsen long-term medical conditions, like congestive heart failure, asthma, or diabetes.

You might also have muscle inflammation (myositis), problems with your central nervous system, and heart problems such as heart attacks, inflammation of the organ (myocarditis), and inflammation of the sac around it (pericarditis).

    Here’s a classic example, Kneel.

Labor has called on the government to make rapid tests free for all Australians, with supply shortages leading to the items selling out in many parts of the country, and high demand seeing a single test priced at upwards of $30.

The number of aged-care homes suffering COVID outbreaks more than doubled again last week to 1107, the number of residents with the virus jumped by 141 per cent, and the sector ran out of workforce surge staff the week before.

As previously reported here, the exponential explosion is on track to have outbreaks in practically every home outside Western Australia next week, imprisoning some 180,000 Australians.

There were 1370 active resident cases on January 7. On January 14, there were 3208 and 39 people had died.

Residential aged-care staffing is beyond crisis level.

Novak Djokovic deported for breach of Australia’s border rules, PM says, at odds with government’s legal case

The Australian prime minister, Scott Morrison, says Novak Djokovic was deported because he tried to breach entry rules at the border, even though the immigration minister did not dispute the tennis star’s belief he had a valid medical exemption.

β€œIt’s as simple as that,” the prime minister told 2GB radio. β€œThis is about someone who sought to come to Australia and not comply with the entry rules at our border. That’s what this is about.”

The health minister, Greg Hunt, also argued on Monday that Djokovic’s medical exemption β€œwasn’t valid”.

But the immigration minister, Alex Hawke, did not make alleged non-compliance with entry rules a central plank of his reasons for cancelling Djokovic’s visa a second time on Friday.

Where might this end? Should we deny Dawkins a visa because his “presence” might foster “atheistic sentiment”? Further, should the government completely defund universities which include “critical theory” in social science courses?

Should “unvaccinated” candidates be allowed on the ballot paper? What about “unvaccinated” elected members – should they be allowed into the parliamentary bars? Should they be allowed to travel in Commonwealth vehicles? Government jets?

The purpose of vaccinations is to assist our immune system to attack the invasion of our bodies by assiting our own immune systems to recognise the attack …

In short we are fighting a battle against Covid and all its “children” … Delta … Omicron … and whatever is planned next …

Gobsmacking truth … even the rich know!

More than 100 members of the global super-rich called on Wednesday for governments around the world to β€œtax us now” to help pay for the pandemic response and tackle the gulf between rich and poor.

The group of 102 millionaires and billionaires, including Disney heiress Abigail Disney, said the current tax system is rigged in their favour and needs to be rewritten to make taxation fairer for hard-working people and restore trust in politics.

β€œAs millionaires, we know that the current tax system is not fair,” they said in an open letter published on Wednesday. β€œMost of us can say that, while the world has gone through an immense amount of suffering in the last two years, we have actually seen our wealth rise during the pandemic – yet few if any of us can honestly say that we pay our fair share in taxes.”

The super-rich signatories, who brand themselves as β€œpatriotic millionaires”, called for the introduction of β€œpermanent wealth taxes on the richest to help reduce extreme inequality and raise revenue for sustained, long-term increases in public services like healthcare”.

β€œRestoring trust requires taxing the rich,” they said in the letter, published as world leaders and business executives meet for a virtual Davos World Economic Forum. β€œThe world – every country in it – must demand the rich pay their fair share. Tax us, the rich, and tax us now.”

Perhaps you can remind us of the last time ADF personnel were seconded to help hospital staff in a code brown crisis?

“My father died a most excruciating extended death in Catholic palliative care.”

Isaac Asimov’s Foundation & Empire series … I’ve downloaded the seven novels – 2272 pages … it is still brilliant … written in 1947 … the trick is that Asimov was a scientist who understood how the universe works … he wrote some brilliant mystery/whodunnit compilations … recommend …

I forget that the cockroaches and mexicans are an hour “ahead” of the super sunshine state – chuckle – ToM must be indulging in his usual dinner and $300 bottle of shiraz … then he’ll provide us with a professional epidemiological assessment of his earlier statement …

    I’m on tenterhooks!

dog-botherers have a lot to answer for.

    More damaging than helping …

If there is a dog I hope they take hypocrisy into consideration on their judgement day.

World governments are overrun with dog-botherers … particularly in the USA and Afghanistan … Australia a close second …

The alert was previously activated during when the 2016 thunderstorm asthma event caused mass hospitalisations, during Black Saturday bushfires, and after the Bourke Street mall attack in 2017 where victims needed urgent medical treatment

I mean, yea, if you accept that the government has created, intentionally, an event like an extreme disaster, then cool.

Except, this is even worst than any of those extreme disasters. And it’s been done on purpose

It is the first time the Victorian health system is having a system-wide code brown.

Are you able to explain what Dan Andrews has to do with the Federal Government creating an environment worst than the worst disasters?

Nothing, nothing at all. Dan is responsible only for good outcomes. Stuff-ups (including the 58 offences Dan’s government i charged with) are entirely the responsibility of Scummo. At least in the minds of unthinking shills.

Somewhere along the way the ability of these poor souls to think independently has atrophied, their time and intellectual ability now directed solely to feasting on the faecal treacle tripping from the Stairman’s prolapsed anus and then dribbling it over these pages.

The Andrews Government has made their share of mistakes. But I think the voters accept that, and also appreciate those who recognise it, and allow due process to be carried out.

Unlike those states who sweep everything under the rug

according to World Health Organisation Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, that theory couldn’t be more flawed.

Instead, he warned on Tuesday this week that the pandemic was β€œnowhere near over”.

β€œOmicron may be less severe β€” on average, of course β€” but the narrative that it is mild disease is misleading, hurts the overall response, and costs more lives,” he told the media from the WHO’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

BoJo is the gift that keeps on giving.

It’s quite hillarious to see him try to cling on to “it was just a work function” (with suitcases full of grog, dancing girls, loud music, strippers)…

Especially the night before the the Duke’s funeral. Her royal madge will not be amused.
